NOTE: As far as I am concerened, I basically created everything in this story except for where it takes place. Please do not steal any of my ideas. This is my first shot at any type of story.
Of Love and War
Prologue
In an age where governments of the planet no longer exists and chaos reigns over all, there are the elite few that have taken control of major areas of the planet. Major cities and small countries are now under the control of people who posses power allowing them to control the elements: Ice, water, earth, thunder, wind, and fire. When summoning an element, the Noglek only has to picture in their mind what they wish to happen with the element, and that is what happens. For example, if the Noglek, when summoning water, wished to create a tsunami, they think of a tsunami, and where they want it to hit, and it happens. Or with fire, if the Noglek wants a ring ofme tme to encircle their opponent, that is what happens. These people, known only as Nogleks, stand as the rulers of the planet. Unfortunately, they do not always agree and great wars are waged to win control of areas of the planet. The victor will gain control of the desired location, the loser, will lose his or her life.
However, in rare cases, a Super Noglek rises up. Once a Noglek has become so powerful by exercising his or her abilities, they will gain the greatest powers known to life itself: Energy, and Shield. Energy, in its purist form, is the most destructive force known to man. With it, comes its opposite, Shield. With Shield, the user will be protected against any force equal to, or lesser than that of its user. However, three types of Shields are existent and appear randomly. The first is the regular Shield and will protect against attacks that are equal to, or less powerful than the user. The second will deflect any attack that is equal to, or less powerful than the user back in the direction the attack came from. The third will absorb any attack that is less powerful than the user, but not equal to. When absorbed, the attack will slightly strengthen the user’s abilities. However, when a Super Noglek gains the ability of Shield, one of the three appears randomly, and they can use only that one, and not the others. With Energy and Shield, a Super Noglek is virtually unstoppable and can only be defeated by another Super Noglek who is stronger.
This story takes place in Tokyo, Japan, where two Nogleks, Gaal Kigt and Dederich Orooph, fight constantly to control the city. Both are very strong in their abilities, and will stop at nothing to win no matter who they must kill in order to reach victory.
