Have you ever thought of starting an RPG? Your idea would make for a great role playing story, and it may even help you with ideas for continuing the real thing. I\'ve found Yahoo Groups to be one of the better places to role play, and if you should choose to do something like that, I\'d join for sure. Anyway, hope to see your story updated soon, you have a great idea here!
