Who the hell pees in their PS/2 AND THEN SENDS IT

 10-11-2004, 03:53 PM

I just got off the phone with the Sony free repair line for disk read errors. The first guy I spoke to, Mr. Nye, claimed to a been working there for two years and yet couldn't find my multiple repair history, nor would he wave the shipping fee, so I had him transfer me to his manager Mr. Soprano.

Mr. Soprano not only knew about my many repairs, he also told about other people's repairs after it became clear I was getting reconditioned machine.

Apparently machines have been sent back not only obviously stained with urine but absolutely reeking of it!

This is happening so much in fact, that Sony actually has a written policy after repair center to deal with it.

Mr. Soprano assured me that a policy involved immediately bagging the affected presumably infectious unit in a sealable plastic bag made specifically for the purpose and disposing of it away from the work area {read "outside"}.

He also told me about a similar procedure followed for insect infestations in the PS/2, when he told me often happened due to insect being attracted to the heat machine.

Visions of insect pornos still in my head, he moved on to tell me parents had actually gone so far as to send them shattered disks that their children had sat upon expecting a warranty replacement -- with an admission that the children had sat upon the disks!

My shock value on overload, I calmed down a bit when he assured me no one had actually peed on a PS/2 disk yet...... that they could tell. Then again, Mr. Nye had gone over the intricacies of disk cleaning with me in the beginning of the phone call despite me explaining the disks involved were brand new -- right down to which type of products to use -- so would Sony really know ;-)

So now that the truth is out, you can tell the truth.

ARE YOU ONE OF THESE PEOPLE?

DO YOU KNOW ONE OF THESE PEOPLE?

WHY DO THEY DO THIS?
