Third Wave
What is human nature?
An excuse to behave dishonorably; to kill; to be unfaithful; to succumb to the feral natures trapped in the uncensored parts of the mind.
Human Nature is unbalanced and at conflict with itself. The ideas of good and evil; black and white; right and wrong force humans to be at constant conflict with themselves – it was the fight between these two ideals that destroyed more than 80% of the human population in the 22nd century.
They said human nature destroyed 30% of the surviving populace. Another 10% died destroying the cities and weapons hoping to prevent another disaster. What remained of human nature cast their die into space, hoping to find life beyond the stars.
They barely made it to the Tetrasol Universe and found themselves stranded in the Serena Quadrant. Those that survived found themselves in a war conflicted society and despaired. A small group went forth and petitioned themselves to the natives for amnesty. The humans knowing war and destruction became the voice of reason.
One woman proposed herself as a treaty between the two rulers, she calming their conflicts with the knowledge of her experience. She was their balance, a third voice to their conflicts.
A creature born of their myths and legends of those from far to bring peace to their world – this saved the humans.
Others desiring the peace began to take humans into their home acting as a balance between two strong willed beings but there weren’t enough humans. The scientists began extracting DNA from willing humans creating new combinations of people.
As other worlds watched peace descend over the Serena Quadrant, they began to desire humans of their own. The Joia Quadrant was one of the first to commission blended humans, demanding exact characteristics to make the humans specifically attractive for their needs. Other Quadrants in the Tetrasol Universe began to do the same.
The third project began here, spouses were created to tame the most feral of tendencies amongst the various beings of the universe. Mostly human, thirds were created, trained and balanced to couple with spouses to create peace.
But human nature is still human nature.
