AN: I had this story up once before mot too long ago and for some reason was deleted; I had thought that I had re-did the disclaimer to be right but apparently it wasn't. I hope now it's better and I hope that if it isn't that the admin gives me another warning before they deleted it again. For the two that had read this before I'm sorry that it was taken off and hope you continue to read. Thank you for your time.

Chapter One.

Pain, that’s all she could feel as she watched the scene in front of her, two bodies moving together on the bed, the noises and the smell making everything hurt worse. Tears streamed down pale cheeks from light blue eyes as she backed away from the door way before dashing down the hallway of the house, their long black hair flying behind them as they ran out the door and to their car. They fumbled for their keys and got into their car and sped away from the house, she didn't know where she was headed but she didn't care as long as she was far from her now ex boyfriend and his new women. She turned into an abandoned parking lot and parked her car as she tried to calm down.
This is Hayley Riddle, a girl who thought her life was looking up for once but she now realised she was wrong, Hayley was an orphan since the age of three but she didn't let it get her down, even when they treated her badly or when she was thrown out onto the street at 13 but now she didn't think she could handle this new turn in her life, she didn't let those other things get to her because she had 'him' to turn to but now 'he' betrayed her the worse way she could think of.
Hayley placed her head in her hands and bent low in her seat, she would have tried to curl herself even more as she cried if the steering wheel wasn't in her way, she screamed in pain and continued to cry. After a while of crying she sat back in her seat and banged her fists into the steering wheel angrily.

“How could I let this happen?” She muttered softly before being startled out of her state when her mobile started singing 'jingle bombs' by Achmed The Dead Terrorist a dummy of a ventriloquist named Jeff Dunham, a small smile graced her lips before she checked who was ringing her.

“Soul” She growled and pressed the hang up button before she threw the phone onto the passenger seat and puffed out her cheeks angrily. “How dare he try and ring me now after what he's done” she muttered and folded her arms. “But then again I doubt he even realised I was there in the door way” she added and held back a new wave of tears. 'No I wont cry, I'm stronger then this' she thought and frowned before sighing. Hayley sat there for another five minutes before unbuckling her seat belt.

“Time to find out where I am and get home........damn it I cant go back to that house 'he' will be there” She muttered and picked up her mobile. “I hope the house is still there” she added as she dialled in her parent’s old lawyer’s number that she had to remember when he contacted her about her parent’s house when she turned 18. She didn't need it at the time since she was living with her now ex-boyfriend and told him to old it just in case.
She spent an hour on the phone to her parent’s lawyer and found out the address of the house and told him she would be over there in the next couple of days to sign the papers so the house was back into her name and not his. Once she got off the phone she sighed again and got out of her car to look around. 'Great just what I need, I got lost in the bad part of the city' she thought and popped her boot open so she could get her road map quickly, as she got her book she glanced at an old suitcase that she always kept in the trunk. “I guess I'm not sleeping in the car this time, maybe things might be looking up.......delusion much” she muttered and sighed as she slammed the boot lid down and headed back into her car.
When she figured out the way to her old home she placed the map open on the passenger seat and placed her phone on it to keep the page before sighing. 'Alone again' she thought and headed out of the parking lot in her car and drove to wards her home. “I guess this is a good thing, maybe I can get a pet now, Soul hated animals” She muttered and sighed as she turned the corner of the block to find a white dog in the middle of the road.

“Oh Shit” She gasped and stopped her car and made sure no one was around before getting out and went to the animal. 'A white German Shepherd?' she thought shocked before kneeling down to see if it was alive. 'Thank god' she saw it breathing but got even more worried when she saw blood in it's beautiful white fur. “You poor thing” she said and checked for any other injuries. She sighed in relief when she saw they all weren't really bad but bad enough to know if it didn't get help it would die left by it's self. “Alright what should I do” she muttered and thought before seeing the dog's eyes open to reveal golden yellow eyes. “Hey your alright stay still so not to aggravate your wounds” she said and patted the dogs head. “Look at me I'm already talking to you” she sighed with a small smile. “I guess I'll have to take you with me, can't let you stay in the middle of the road” she said and moved to her trunk to get an old blanket and went back over to the dog and rapped it up, it whimpered a little and she said some soothing words. Just as she was about to pick it up she heard a growl and turned to see a silver wolf staring right at her with a black cat sitting on its back, the cat had one line of white going down its right eye making look like a scar. “What the” she said as the wolf advanced slowly making Hayley stay shock still. 'How is a wolf here in the middle of the city?' she thought and watched it continue to growl as it went over to the white German shepherd and the cat jumped from the wolfs back and nudged the injured one, the German shepherd let a small whine out and the wolf stopped growling but kept looking at Hayley. 'Is he glaring at me?' she thought and continued to watch the wolf before she felt something nudge at her hand.
Hayley looked down and saw the cat there as it bit into her sleeve and moved back to wards the fallen animal.

“I get it. You’re just trying to protect our friend. It's alright I wont harm him” she said in her softest voice before moving slowly back to the fallen dog and picked it up gently. “I need to work out more” she muttered and carried the dog to the car and opened the back seat where she placed it softly on the seat, just as she moved away from the door a flash of silver dashed into the car through the door and Hayley found herself looking at the wolf again. The wolf looked back at her before lying down on the seat next to the wounded one. Hayley took the time to look over the wolf and found it to have wounds but smaller then the other dogs.

“It looks like you two got into a fight” she said and felt something jump onto her shoulder and looked to see it was the cat. “hehe I guess you don't want to be separated from your friends either” she said with a smile and picked the cat up from her shoulder and held it close to her chest as she moved from the back door and closed it before getting into the front seat and moved her map and phone on the passenger seat to give room to the cat. “I guess I wont be so lonely anymore” she said to herself and started the car again. She glanced at the map before taking another turn and out of the corner of her eye she could see the cat looking at her before looking into the back where the wolf stayed with the German shepherd.

It took another 30 minutes to get to her old house, the house was a medium brick place with 4 rooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and a lounge room, the front yard was over run with grass and weeds and the driveway had a bush growing over it from the side. Hayley sighed and stopped her car outside of the driveway and looked at the house sadly and saw that there was a pathway made out so nobody had to wade through grass to get to the house.

“At least whoever has been taking care of it was kind enough to make a pathway” she muttered and turned to the side so she could find her bag that was on the floor in the back seat. She looked at the wolf that was looking at her and she cocked her head to the side before she found her bag. She turned back into her seat and placed her bag on her lap before looking through her wallet. “Stupid girl should have gone to the lawyers first to get the keys. Oh well lucky for us I have some uses eah” she said and smiled at the cat next to her as she pulled out her ex boyfriends credit card. “Well look at that! The bastards gonna come in handy” she muttered to herself and got out of the car.

“Stay here ok I'll be right back” she said to the animals and quickly went to the front door and started to fiddle with the knob and slid the card between the door and the door way. She kept it up for a minute before the door opened up and she let out a yell of success. “Yatta” she said and rushed happily back to the car, she placed everything back into her bag and slung the strap over her head and place the bag behind her before picking up the cat and placed it back onto her shoulder and went back to the back seat, when she opened the door the wolf got out first and headed straight into the house.

“Such a smart boy” she said fondly and picked up the German shepherd and closed the door with her hip before heading inside and set the dog into the lounge, the cat jumped off of her shoulder and onto the back of the couch while the wolf decided to explore the whole house. Hayley looked around her old house and sighed, the lounge room had a three seater lounge in the middle of the room and 2 small one seater's on both side of the lounge, it had a coffee table in front of the lounge, a TV sitting against the wall behind the table, a fire place sat in the corner of the room and had family pictures sitting on it's mantle piece. “I haven't been in this house since I was three” she said before noticing everything was cleaned and dusted. “Lucky for us that their lawyer had someone come and cleans the place” she added before heading into one of the bathrooms and looked for the first aid kit.
When Hayley returned to the lounge room she placed the box on the coffee table before moving off to the kitchen to fill up a small basin with warm water and collected a hand towel while she was gone, she came back and placed the other items on the coffee table as well before moving to the dog and removed the old blanket from the it and started to clean it's wounds with the hand towel and warm water. She also cleaned the blood out of its fur and rapped its wounds with some bandages from the first aid kit.

“There you go all cleaned and ready to heal” she said and scratched the dogs head. “Now I should check if there is any food in the house otherwise all for of us are eating instant Raman from the esky in my boot” she said with a chuckle and watched the wolf come back into the lounge room. She got up and took everything she had brought into the room with her into the kitchen and tipped the bloodied water from the basin into the sink and looked in the cupboards and fridge. “Yatta we have meat” She called out as she looked in the freezer. 'It's a good thing I remembered the book I read from the library about animal’s diets. Now how to go about making their food. Hmmmm wolf first' she thought and felt something rub against her legs, she looked down to find the cat there.

“Hey there kitty” she said softly and picked it up and held it close to her chest as she pat it, it rubbed its cheek against hers and she couldn't help but smile. “For stray animals all of you are very well behaved and friendly too” she muttered and worked with one hand to get the meat throwing. She took the cat back into the lounge room to see the wolf laying on one of the single chairs, looking bored.

“You know kitty this would almost be nice if Soul was here......Gah what am I saying he hates animals and even if he did there is no way I'm going back to that cheating son of a bitch” she said and puffed her cheeks out angrily before sitting on the other single chair and let the cat curl up on her lap. “I guess it was my fault anyway, maybe I didn't pay him enough attention, maybe I was too needy.....I don't know, but if that was the case he could have talked to me, I would have done anything to make up for everything he had done for me” she said and sighed as she pat the cat, and looked over to see the wolf staring at her as well as the German shepherd. “I think I'm talking too much hey, must be weird having someone talk to you when she knows you can't talk back or even think that you understand me” she said and looked sadly to the pictures on the shelf, She got up and placed the cat on her chair as she went out to the kitchen again to make the food for all her animals and herself.
