One Night
a/n this is a story on a dream I had, about my ex boyfriend.
CHAPTER ONE
Pulling up at the hotel, Kate looked out the window. She was on a holiday with her Husband's parents. He was away for work and could not come. After checking in, they headed to the pool bar for a few drinks. Thinking about her life, Kate smiled. She had been with her hubby Trent for two years, only just being married and having bought a house. He had built her up from the quiet shy girl into a woman not afraid of everyone.
Her ex had made her the pitiful mouse, abusing her mentally and physically. Oh the sex had been great but it had been to much. After five years she had finally broken away, single until a blind date had blessed her with Trent.
Mandy and Paul, her in-laws were talking to the barman Rick. A loud laugh took Kate's attention to a group of guys mucking around the pool. Kate gave a giggle as the biggest of them ended up in the pool after his mate snuck up on him. "Got a bucks night here this weekend as well folks, hope you don't mind noise." Kate smiled at Rick, looking back at the men laughing loudly as the man in pool grabbed the leg of the one who had pushed him in, both men went back under.
Getting out of the pool, Jake heard the feminine laugh. Looking over his heart stopped.
Kate's laughed died in her throat as she looked into the deep brown eyes of the buck, her ex Jake. 'Shit, shit of fuck I have to get out of here' Panic filled her as he started to stride over to the bar.
"Kate, holy shit whats it been five years or so?" Kate forced a smile. "Yeah Jake it has been, glad to see you finally making an honest woman out of the mother of your children." Kate smiled at the clearing of a throat behind her. "Oh Jake this is my in-laws Mandy and Paul, this is Jake an old friend."
Jake smiled at the words old friend. "Please to meet you both, and where is your hubby?" Kate didn't want to answer, Mandy beat her to it. "Our son is away, so we felt Kate needed to get away for the weekend." Kate could feel Jake's gaze looking at her, no through her deep into her soul.
"Well hope you all have a great day, might see you all later." Smiling Kate said goodbye ignoring the butterflies in her tummy, telling herself over and over again, its all in the past just be friendly. "Well lets get ready for tea," Paul led the woman back to their rooms. Kate looked one more time at the bucks party shocked at the look of pure Lust and possessiveness in Jake's eyes, Five years had not changed much.
Jake walked back over to his mates, looking back one more time at Kate. "Holy shit mate is that Kate?" Jake nodded at his mate Jason. "Yeah she's married now," Jason stared at Jake. "She's still hot mate, too bad you couldn't keep that piece of flesh." Jake stared at his mate, his mind in between beating the crap out of his mate or agreeing. Nodding Jake looked up meeting Kate's eyes as she went to leave. Yes she was still a stunning woman.
A/N this is a story I will continue, I have been with my partner for two years and never thought of my ex till the other night when I had this dream. Figured it would be easier to not think about it if I wrote it out lol, review if you like. :-D
