Spaghetti and Coffee

Chapter One: Spaghetti and Coffee.

I looked out the window in the kitchen of my flat, And stared at the sky through the surrounding buildings, at the sky. It looked like just another ordinary day. I decided to make myself some lunch, as I was starting to feel hungry. I decided on making some pasta so I opened the cupboard, and fished out a pot. A few minutes later the water was boiling, and my mother marched in loudly through the door.
I don't know why I still lived with her.

She quickly told me that our old neighbors had come back to visit us. They wanted to talk to me specifically. I was surprised at that, because I rarely talked to our neighbors.
When we arrived downstairs, I could see what my mother was so flustered about. There were two handsome young men standing there, smiling at us. I don't know what the old woman was blathering about, They didn't look familiar to me.

The slightly taller one stepped forward and presented both of them. "Hello, I'm Colin, and this is my friend, Daniel." He reached out his hand toward me. I started to shake it, When he stooped down and kissed the back of my hand. I was slightly startled.
No one did that anymore.

Colin was a dark blonde man, and his hair hung slightly curled down to the middle of his neck. He was wearing a loose white open shirt, and slightly dangerous black jeans. He had shiny black shoes on as well, and sunglasses perched on his head. He was beautiful.

Daniel had a brunette pudding basin haircut, and a light smile played on his lips. He was in a grey suit, and he wore small round glasses. His hands were in his pockets.
That was when Colin snapped me back to reality.

"Shall we take a walk, Lovely?" he said, holding out his hand for me to grab. I took it, gently. Daniel smiled at my mother, who, without hesitation, ran towards him.
As we talked in our couples while walking through the main part of our city, I felt butterflies in my stomache. Maybe it was from lack of food, But I definitely felt something.

Suddenly, Colin grabbed my arm roughly. "Oy, We're going to go off on our own now, Okay?" Daniel nodded is agreement, his hands still in his slacks. My mother rapidly nodded. Colin shot Daniel an apologetic smile, and led me into a nearby alley. He let go of my arm, and apologized. He then told me to close my eyes. I did so. I don't know why, But I trusted him.

He grabbed my hands, and muttered something under his breath. Suddenly, he told me I could open my eyes again, and we were standing on a wharf. He took my hand in his, and started to walk. I just stared at him as he walked. I followed.
We walked around, and talked about random stuff. I wasn't really listening, I was trying to fight my urge to kiss him on the spot.

Later, when dusk was closing in around us, he turned in front of me and said, "Well, I should probably get you home now.." and he leaned forward just a bit. His eyes closed a bit, and he seemed to be fighting with himself. I leaned up a bit, so he'd kiss me.. But he turned away. "Yes, Home."

A few seconds later, It was the start of the day again. But this time when Colin stepped forward, He only winked at me, and took my mother's hand. Again, I was confused. Didn't this just happen? Didn't I get to walk with Colin? Apparently not, as he and my mother were far ahead of me, and laughing.
Daniel stepped forward. "Milady.. Are you going to come with me?" he asked, leaning over and moving his hand towards me. I gladly took it, and we slowly started walking after Colin and my mother.

Daniel was much more sophisticated. He had more stuff to say, and indeed he was just as attractive as Colin, He just didn't prance around flaunting himself.
When Colin shouted back to us that he was going to go off on his own, Daniel just nodded happily at him.

"Hm.. Shall we go get some coffee, then?" He cocked his head at me and asked. "Why not?" I replied, and smiled at him. We walked across the street to the nearest coffee place, and sat down at a table. A waitress walked up to us.

"Hello, Sir, Ma'am. What would you like today?"

We ordered, and just started jabbering away to each other. It was just natural conversation with him. Soon, it was getting late again, And he offered to walk back to the high-rise to wait for Colin and my mother.

When we got there, We sat down on the bench in front of the large glass front doors.
I leaned against him, It was starting to get cold.

"Dawn.." he said my name. He almost sounded like he was pleading.
I looked up at him. He looked down at me. He leaned in, and kissed me. I was slightly taken aback. He came away from me. "Dawn.." again.

"Kiss me again.." I said, Slowly. He embraced me, and started to kiss me again when we heard someone clear their throat.
We broke apart like we burned each other.

"I thought we made a deal we wouldn't claim her until after we had talked, Daniel?" Colin said, arms crossed in front of his chest, Looking displeased.
