The Beach Trip

"It's so pretty outside today! Come ooooon, can we please go to the beach?!"

Sighing at the sound of that pleading voice, Kai looked up from her book, to find herself nearly nose-to-nose with Lyssa, looking into her beautiful hazel-green eyes. The sneaky wench even fluttered her lashes and formed her full lips into a pout! "Gah! Not the sad kitty face! You know I can't resist that..."

"Yes I do, and that's why I'm doing it." Completely ignoring her mate's indignant sputters, Lyssa pulled the book out of Kai's hands and flopped down on her lap, wrapping her arms around the other girl's neck. "Pleeeeeeease Kai?"

"..All right, fine." Kai pushed pale golden-brown hair back from Lyssa's face, unable to keep from smiling. "Go get ready, we leave in ten minutes."

"Yay! Ohhh thank you thank you thank you!" Stealing a kiss from the dark-haired girl, Lyssa leaped off her lap and ran into their room. Kai just chuckled, dark brown eyes watching Lyssa's departure. This was undoubtedly going to be an adventure.. outings with Lyssa always were.

Exactly ten minutes later, Kai stood at the front door of their apartment, waiting for Lyssa. Just as she was about to tell for the other girl, Lyssa came bounding out of their bedroom, clad in a pair of shorts and a green tank top over her bathing suit, with a tote of various things over her arm. Sliding into her flip flops, she grabbed Kai's hand, and dragged her girlfriend out of the apartment.

It took them about fifteen minutes to get to the beach. As it was still fairly early in the summer season, barely past the end of spring, there was practically no one along the stretch of white sand. They had pretty much the whole beach to themselves, with the sun shining down on them and the ocean waves crashing on the shore. Lyssa eagerly leaped out of the car and dashed down to a prime spot, leaving Kai to carry the large beach umbrella, her towel, and the small cooler of food she'd had the good sense to pack. Setting everything down, she glanced around to make sure no one was looking, and peeled off her shirt and shorts, to reveal the simple black one piece she wore.

Just as she dropped the clothes on the beach, she looked over at Lyssa, and felt like someone had punched her in the stomach. Lyssa might not have been one of those stick-thin models, but she was well shaped. She had hips that seemed just right for resting your hands on, and an ass that was just right.. not too big, but not small, either. Sprawling on the towel, she grabbed her book from her own bag and settled in to read. She was interrupted after just a few moments by movement in the corner of her eye; turning her head, she saw Lyssa sitting next to her towel, a grin on her lips and her eyes sparkling. "Come in the water with me, Kai!"

"..I think not." Kai arched a brow, looking back to her book.

"Aww.. you're no fun." Pouting, she stood and stomped back to the water's edge, unaware of the fact that Kai was watching her. As she waded out up to her knees, studying the waves that washed around her legs. The sudden feel of arms wrapping around her waist from behind made her jump with a squeak of surprise; she attempted to struggle, but was unable to free herself from her captor's grip. The person stopped when she was immersed just above her waist, and took a deep breath to scream for Kai.. when she heard a familiar voice murmuring in her right ear.

"I'm plenty of fun, and you know it..." That low tone, filled with raw desire, made her shiver; the sudden feel of warm, wet flesh embedded with metal sliding along the outside shell of her ear, made a moan fall from her lips.

"K-Kai.. what.. what are you doing..? This is a public place..." Kai nuzzled the sensitive spot just behind Lyssa's ear as she smirked, her hands gently caressing the soft flesh of her girlfriend's stomach.

Lyssa was unable to speak as she looked out at the horizon, breathing shallowly.
