Dark Fire

All original characters are mine.

A/N- To everyone whose read my fanfiction; I’m sorry to say I will not be updating those anytime soon. I just do not feel it in me to continue writing stories about those topics. Maybe one day I will finish them, but for now I am only doing originals.

There are a lot of things that are more implied than are actually fully described in the story, but I felt it necessary to put the warnings on the front just in case someone decided to get funny with me.

Enjoy!

It was unusually hot in Manhattan in an early September evening. So much so that 23-year-old Agatha Dempsy was unable to get any sleep. Normally the open window would welcome some sort of stray breeze that just so happened upon her city block, but even that gave the young woman no comfort.

You see it was not just the heat of the night that caused the plus-sized woman her insomnia, oh no. It was the fact that she had not had a steady sexual life in over a year that was putting her into disarray.

Groaning in frustration the buxom brunette got up from her bed and completely stripped down to nothing. She then proceeded to walk over to her bookshelf to try and get her mind off her current state, when she stopped in front of her mirror.

Now Agatha was indeed the epitome of a plus-sized goddess, something a renaissance artist would worship. Her curves ran for miles. She had thick thighs and childbearing hips, a soft belly, and breasts that could put Dolly Parton. Her hair was something to behold as well. It was the color of fine aged wood and fell into soft curls down the middle of her back.

Unfortunately for Agatha; all she could see was lumps of flesh.

Sighing heavily she turned away from the mirror and continued toward her bookshelf.

As she was scanning the titles she came across one that she had not seen before. “Hmm, I don’t even remember purchasing this,” she said quietly as she brushed her fingertips lightly across the aged spine. A sudden chill ran over her and she began to feel compelled to read the strange text.

Grabbing the book from the shelf, she held it delicately in her hands. For a moment it seemed the book grew warm and then suddenly cooled. Thinking it was just her mind playing tricks on her she shrugged her shoulders and went to sit down by the window.

The moon was out tonight, so Agatha, not wanting to add any more to her already escalating electric bill, decided to use the moon’s soft glow.

Looking at the cover more carefully now, Agatha realized she definitely did not purchase this book and began to wonder how it got mixed up in her collection. “Probably something Charles left here when we broke up,” she mused. She turned it over in her hands and traced the fading lettering on the cover Dragoste Întunecatã.

Her brow furrowed for a moment trying to recall the language it was written in. She had studied many languages while attending college, her major being in World Studies while her minor was in Linguistics, and could now recall where she’s seen it before.

Opening the book to the first page she noticed a small poem that was hand-written in red ink. Thinking maybe she would recognize the language if she spoke it, Agatha decided to read it out loud, “ Sînge din sîngele meu, Trup din trupul meu, Elibereaza - ma din paginile vechi, Sa iau parte la plãceri nespuse

Romanian! Now she remembered, it was one of the harder languages she had to study and never managed to get a full grip on it.

Suddenly the room became very cold, so cold it caused Agatha to shiver a little. A strong breeze was coming through the window now and Agatha was starting to feel sleepy.

“Hmm, seemed to do the trick. Guess its time to call it a night,” she said and continued to look at the book, “You my friend are coming with me tomorrow. We’ll see what little secrets your hiding from me.”

With that she left the book on the windowsill and crawled into bed. The minute her head hit the pillow she was fast asleep, unaware of the dark figure looming in the corner of her room.
