Expectation
Hope for the best, expect the worst.
You tried to prepare me.
I hoped for the best possible fulfillment of the potential I saw in you.
I hoped for the best possible outcome in a difficult situation.
You expected me to leave.
I expected you to fall short of enough.
Now I ask you, which is more progenitive?
Hope? or expectation?
