Prologue

A/N: Hello folks! Here's my next story. Or rather, this one is a 5 story series. I came up with this one after I read Nora Robert's Three Sisters Trilogy. This story is my own, as well as the town of Brensdale and the characters. Here's the first book. The series is about 5 sisters would were separated when they were young. All but the eldest lost their memories, but that happened so they could live normal lives on Earth. When the time came, all 5 of them must join up again to defeat the same evil that destroyed their past home. They will be guided by the eldest sister Calista, who alone remembered their past. This first book is about the youngest, Ariana. I hope you like this series. While it is partly fantasy, this is mostly a modern story, which is rare for me to do. I like to mix up genres up though and you'll see an example of that, especially in the 5th book. Well, on with the story!

The 5 Sisters of Brensdale

Part I: Wind Tempest

Prologue

It is a clear summer day and 5 little girls laid on a green hill. They laid in a circle as they looked up at the clouds.
“What do you see?” asked a girl with curly, golden brown hair.

“I don’t know, but they look like cotton balls.” said the smallest girl, who had golden blonde hair.

“I don’t see anything.” stated a young brunette tersely.

“You just don’t have an imagination, Edena.” replied the golden brown hair girl.

“So. They’re clouds. That’s all they are, Marina.” stated Edena.

“Well, I could care less about the clouds. I want to see beyond them!” exclaimed a red-head girl.

“Wow! Can you really do that, Alyssa?” asked the smallest girl.

“Hey! Anything’s possible, Ariana.”

“Anything that is possible.” added Edena.

“What about you, Calista?” asked Marina.

The girls looked at the oldest, who had platinum blonde hair.
“Me? I guess it would be interesting to see what’s out there, but for now, I am content to be here and just take things as they come.” said Calista.

“That’s just like you, Calista.” grinned Edena.

“I am what I am. We best get going. It’s almost dinner time.” replied Calista before standing up.

The others followed her. They stood on the hill overlooking their home. It wasn’t big, but it was enough for them. The village was quaint and friendly. Near the houses stood the palace where the girls lived. Their parents were the rulers there.
“Hey! I’ll race you!” said Alyssa before she started running down the hill.

Ariana followed and Marina started running too. Edena shook her head.
“That Alyssa needs to grow up.” replied Edena.

“You are only 11 once, Edena. Alyssa’s just living in the moment. You should enjoy being a kid while it lasts. All too soon, you’ll be grown up.” commented Calista.

“Yes, you’re right. Well, let’s see who won.” urged Edena as she started down the hill.

Calista grinned as she followed. She and her sisters were not only princesses, but sorceresses as well. Well, no matter what they were, they were all unique and loved each other. Their bond was something special and could never be broken. But Calista knew their world will soon change. Her dreams were being plague lately. As she and Edena made it to the open gates, Calista saw that her parents and other sisters were already waiting. Alyssa was jumping saying all that they did today. Marina smiled as she stood close to their father, and Ariana was clinging to their mother’s dress. King Clemens and Queen Andrea grinned at Alyssa. The king’s hair was a dark reddish color and tended to curl. His eyes were golden brown. The queen wore her honey-colored hair long and straight. It held blonde highlights in it. Her eyes looked silver in the sunlight. They all presented a picture Calista would hold in her heart for years to come. As Calista walked forward, the weather began to change. The sky grew dark and the wind picked up. And just like that, the blissful world that Calista once known, vanished and was gone.

A/N: So how was that for a start? I might end up breaking up the chapters down so I can update more frequently.
