Disclaimer: All Mine. Mine. And mine
A/N: I would like to thank all those people who have stuck with me. I know this is mainly a smut related site. That is what people want to read. I, however, have a hard time just writing it. The plot bunny lives in side me and is constantly searching for new ideas to keep my overactive imagination busy. Please enjoy and Read and Review.

\"You insensitive wretch! You yell at me for cheating when all you do is spend time with that… that child! “She wasn’t even mine yet I took you in.” The cruel, blonde haired man yelled. He stood menacingly over the woman. Her cheeks paled and she was in tears. She was slapped back into the wall and blood trickled from the corner of her mouth. She was visibily shaking and was very scared
\"You never pay attention to my needs. I want some personal time too but all you ever do is feed and pamper her!” He slapped her again, leaving a painful red mark on her cheek and causing her to fall to the floor. Sarai’s once blonde hair was now covered in red from the blood spatters. Panting, she moved to push her self up. The whole time, little eyes peered from behind the safety of a staircase.
“Momma,” a green-eyed little girl whimpered. Little curls fell over her tiny cheeks. She could not have been more than four or five at the most. Though she was lean, she really was a cute little thing really. She saw her mother getting slapped again and heard her mother’s cries.
“ She is yours! I have never cheated on you. Ever! Trying to be calm, She backed away. She shook her head and quickly ran up the stairs to her room. The slam of her bedroom door caused the parents to stop mid argument. The man looked at the sleek, blonde, pathetic excuse of a woman before him.
“I’ve had enough!”. Every word he spoke dripped with an angry spite. The man walked past her to the door. Serenity heard the door slam shut. She gasped, hearing the ignition start on an old truck below.
“Daddy?” she wondered. Serenity may have been scared of him but she still loved him. Tears formed in her eyes. They fell down past onto her cheeks and down swiftly. She watched her father drive out of their lives forever.
The memories were so vivid. Serenity stared off into blank space only a moment longer before snapping back to reality. Her breaths were quickened. She noticed one of her pencils that had been in her hand was now broken in two. “Calm…Calm...” she reminded herself. Her words came with swiftness. “Concentrate on better things.” Immediately her gaze trailed down to her ‘character creation’ sheets and dice. They were her council. They were there for her at all times. They provided her an instant comfort.
Serenity smiled and pulled a character sheet set up. The girl was your typical gamer. She was alone and had no friends. Her characters were her only connection to any kind of personal relationships, ever since that incident with her father. Even the computer didn’t really appeal to her most of the time. She did use it to get information and check on gaming updates but that was about it. “One more. Perfect. Handsome. And mine,” she commented to herself. Serenity pulled her dice up with that statement. “Mine. He will never leave me,” she whispered. Serenity was a dreamer.
Her mother would sit at the door and listen for hours at the sounds that came from her daughter’s room. She was worried about Serenity. She should have been out making friends. She should be out living. No seventeen-year-old girl should ever stay so cooped up inside. But what could she do? The only people Serenity ever confided in was her characters. “She was aware that her daughter could draw well. She had, in fact, seen many of her drawings. She even tried to get her to sign up for a few art courses at the local college. Yet, her attempts had failed every time she tried to get her little girl out and socializing.
When Sarai would make her go outside, Serenity would simply sit in the back yard and dream up new artwork for her games. Her mother knew that this wasn’t very healthy for her daughter but she was at a loss on how to help her. Serenity didn’t want the help, though. She was content to just sit in her room, locked away from the world. Just like she was today. It was snowing outside. It always snowed on the valley in January. It was quite a breath taking sight, if one would stop to look at it.
The mountaintops kissed the silver sky; their peeks stood in natural grandeur to weather any storm. The little mountain valley was often referred to as paradise. That wasn’t enough to change Serenity’s opinion, though. She only wanted to stay hidden inside her self. Today was no different for her. She placed the crisply made character sheets aside. “One detail at a time,” she spoke to herself. She always smiled when making them. Serenity had a beautiful smile. She had a spark of imagination within her emerald green eyes. Sure, she may not have had a perfect body but everyone had their tastes. “First, character description and history,” her words whispered.
The picture beside her was the cover for the sheet. It was the actual character she had drawn. It was colored and had some of the sub listings that explained the items he was wearing on his arm. Serenity had taken D&D and a BESM (big eyes small mouth) and made a mixture of the two games. She often thought outside the box like this and would usually win when she entered tournaments with a character she made. Their combination of strengths and weakness seemed to compliment one another.
“Name: Silvan Demetrious. Hair: white,” her voice trailed. Serenity paused to look at the picture of the handsome male figure on paper. Her pencil pressed firmly to the character sheet’s description section. “Eyes: silver. Skin: pale.” A sigh passed in a wispy breath between her lips. If any were to see her, they would swear she was a schoolgirl in love. “Ears: elfish, longer than normal ears.” Serenity’s finger caressed the image as she spoke.
“Absolutely perfect and handsome,” she whispered. Serenity smiled and looked back to her sheet. She wanted to finish him. She wanted to add him to her own special character world. A world that she loved so much, she longed to be in it her self. She had created cities, names and races of people, and had even created a map. Serenity called her world Corinthia and Corinth was the capital city of this magical realm. This would be where Silvan was from. She had his whole history written and printed. She already had it attached to the picture. She was going to go all out on this one. She was determined to get every little detail in depth and well, perfect.
He was her very idea of perfection. Silvan had been the star of many of Serenity’s dreams. She could see it all as she wrote. She could hear his voice. She could describe his tone, right down to the very way he breathed. She would often, just as she did now, get lost in her self. The day would pass; breakfast, lunch and even dinner and she wouldn’t be aware if it. Her mother would know that she was at it again. She knew that her girl would not even come from the room to eat, so she would bring the food to her. She might have been indulging or encouraging this behavior but it was better than Serenity starving to death.
Deep down she knew Serenity appreciated it too. Her mother would always find the plates eventually empty on the old school desk. That was thanks enough for her. It was difficult at times, however. She wanted so much for Serenity. When she went to check on her, after an hour or so, the scene before her brought a tear to her eye. There she lay, asleep at her desk again. Her white hair was pulled into a messy bun. She hadn’t changed to her night clothes either.
“Serenity.” Her mother said, and turned to look at the messy desk. The vision of her daughter, once again passed out like this was from sheer exhaustion. It made her tremble and back away. She did not even bother grabbing the half empty dinner plate and glass this time. It was just too much to bear for the mother’s heart at the moment, so she did what she could. She just left her be. She could not see the point in waking her, only to have her begin working on the character again and avoid sleeping. That was exactly what she would do too, and her mother knew it.
