One More Chance
Okay this is my first real story. I think it is kind of kiddy, but I like it. So enjoy and Review please.
Chapter 1
Robin had been at Savannah State for 3 months and still had not made any friends. She usually was in her room or at the library. Why was it always so hard for me to meet people? Of course her roommate tried to get her involved but, all Marty’s friends made her feel worst about herself. She would never be the skinny Barbie looking type. Robin had curves and was proud of them. She had always been overweight but, had learned to control her eating habits. She was now a beautiful size 12 at 5’8 and it had taken 3 years to get to the size where she felt comfortable.
Being in a new environment had taken its toll on Robin’s life. She found it hard to not wake up and hear her mother or see her father. Robin had been the only child so; she never had anybody but, her parents. She came to Savannah State to get learn how to be independent. To be honest she was so sheltered that see never had many friends or any boyfriends. Although, there was this time at a party of one of the girls at school, that she got so drunk and ended up losing her virginity to one of the football players. This had always been hard on Robin because she didn’t even remember the guys name and after that act he didn’t even talk to her. He went about school ignoring her as if it never happened.
Marty walked into the room to find Robin for the hundredth time daydreaming. It seemed that all this girl did was seat in her room daydreaming. “Robin snap out of it.”
“Sorry.” Robin always felt uncomfortable around Marty. Marty was popular and very beautiful. She was everyone’s friend although this too was her first year. Marty was everything that Robin thought she was not. “Sorry Marty.”
“Forget it girl………. hey do you feel like going to lunch with me. I really don’t want to go alone and it will give you the chance to meet some more people.”
“Well I guess I could eat.” Robin really wanted to say “Hell nah” but, Marty was cool, it was her friends that were the devils.
*********
“So has it been that bad?” Marty asked. If Robin was honest lunch was not that bad she had got the chance to meet some of Marty’s better friends. They were not as devilish as the other group. “See I told you that it would get better……Look, you have to meet Marcus.”
“Why do I have to meet this so called Marcus?”
“You have to meet him because he is a great person and he just transferred here too this semester…..and….he is right there.” Robin turned and looked into the eyes of this Marcus she had to meet. Ok he looked nice and fine as all hell.
Marcus Carver walked over to Marty, who he had met in his art class. She seemed to be a very nice person who would grow into a very good friend. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw who she was standing by. Whoever it was, was going to be another person that would grow into a friend and if he was lucky a ‘great’ friend.
“Hey Marty,” Marcus said once he got near her.
“Hey... Marcus I want you to meet Robin Davis.”
“Hi Robin, I’m Marcus Carver.” Damn she was even finer up close.
The three of them set down and talked about a bunch of nothing just to past the time by and the whole time Robin and Marcus were wondering, when is Marty going to leave.
