CHAPTER 1 What has come to pass

An extended summary…
Jessi Strucker has been desperate for many years; desperate to get her mother and sister away from the thing they called husband and father.
Joe and Michael Hanover are two brothers who live next door. In typical boy fashion, Joe and Michael started using Jessi as their personal torture child from very early on. Nothing drastic, they treated her, as some boys are wont to do, pushing her around, making fun of her.
But the boys never knew what went on in that house next door. Not until it was too late to stop it. They wouldn’t have pushed her as far as they did, had they known.
Jessi never bothered much with their antics because she figured, one day they would grow up. Like most boys do. Grow up to be good men. It was only how boys behaved, after all. Besides they could never be as awful as what she faced at home every day. So Jessi waited, hoping that one day the boys would become men and one day they would help her.
She should have known that it would never be that easy.
Then, after a while…
She shut down.
She no longer believed.

Jessi’s world…
This story takes place in an alternate universe where physical abuse is frowned upon, yet the authorities don’t step in unless someone gets killed. A sexually free world where judgments aren’t made based on sexual preferences and/or fetishes. Certain things are looked down upon, where a wife getting beaten up is an offense, but the same done in a sexual game of dominance by a man is allowed. The laws of the sexual and the real world often overlay…
