Divine Wind

It didn't matter if everyone found out now, they were about to die anyway. The pair grasped eachothers hands tightly, misting brown eyes starring back at mist filled chestnut eyes. The entire company gasped as they looked at the two men.
"We shouldn't..." the shorter of the two breathed softly.
"I don't care." His partner replied, "We're going to die in a few hours, nothing matters anymore. Aishiteru!" (I love you!) He he couldn't help but burst out. Toko heard the gasps of his fellow pilots and his superior officiers, but it really didn't matter, he and his lover, Kao were on what would be their last service to the Empire of Japan. Toko wanted to make sure Kao knew he did truly love him. Toko couldn't help but hug Kao tightly to his chest, then doing the most astonishing anyone there had ever seen, the young kamikaze pilot pressed his lips to his fellow kamikaze pilot.
Tears slid silently down Kao's face, he couldn't bear the fact that this would most likely be the last time he ever kissed his beloved.
Surprisingly enough, not one of their comrades make any motion to pry the pair apart. Some how, every one seemed to understand the feelings these two boys had for eachother, infact several of their fellow pilots had similar feelings for some of the others too, but weren't as daring as Kao and Toko.
Eventually the pair had to separate, once again they looked deeply into each others eyes, they understood why they were about to do for their country was more important than their own lives. That was the way they were brought up to think, regardless of the fact they would do practically anything to just run away and never look back, and somehow make their own life, if it wasn't their honor holding them back.
"Sayonara Toko-sama, Boku wa eien ni aisuru!"(Good-bye Toko-sama, I'll love you from now until forever!") Kao called as he stepped into his plane.
"Ore mo! Soshite Ore ga kesshite wasurete wa ikenai Kao-chan!" (Me too! And I will never forget you Kao-chan!) Toko yelled back, tears clinging to his eyes, as he looked at his sweet little boy trying not to loose his composure more than he already had, but he just couldn't help himself.
The two planes soared into the skies both pilots eyes clouded with tears. The planes flew in perfect syncopation, until Toko decided he had to be the one to take control. He couldn't bear to see Kao die, so he would be the one to go first.
Toko signaled to Kao, and mouthed "Ore wa ima soshite eien ni ashiteru." ("I love you too, now and always")Toko closed his eyes and let his plane just fall.
Kao watched in horror as his lover has engulfed in a horrible explosion. He wished he had never joined the army... half way through his thought he realized if he had never joined he would have never met his beloved Toko. Unlike his beloved, he pushed his plane into a death spiral to join Toko.
"Ima boku-tachi wa eien ni isshoni arimasu. Nani mo boku-tachi wo hanare nai." ("Now we'll be joined together forever in death's bittersweet embrace, and nothing will separate us again.") Kao whispered right before he succumbed to the blissful blackness that enveloped him long before impact.
