THE BEGINNING OF THE END

"You lying little bitch!" Ginny screamed at her daughter.

Ebony flinched at her mother's cruel words, pressing herself into the kitchen corner somehow hoping to make herself disappear. Ginny advanced towards her oldest daughter green eyes blazing with hate. "Tony would never touch you, you stupid slut" Ginny bite out! Ebony's dark eyes filled with tears of hurt and shame. Ginny seemed to feed of of Ebony's pain, a cruel smile forming her pretty mouth. Ebony's body shook as she cried, sweat pouring down her face, her shirt drenched with it. The kitchen was unbearably hot. Ebony gasped wishing the night would swallow her whole. "Mama I swear to you I'm not lying!", Ebony cried. "I was so scared I had to tell you, I would never lie..." "SHUT UP!", Ginny screamed. Raising her hand she hit Ebony hard with her fist bloodying her daughter's lip. "You threw yourself at him. He told me how you shamelessly walk around him half naked strutting about in skimpy little getups, ann't n't deny it!" Ginny grabbed Ebony's long black hair jerking so that clumps of it came out in her hand. "He's a good man" Ginny said softly, almost carressingly. "And You, she said glaring at her daughter, her voice becoming hard, are a nasty little slut!" Again Ebony felt the sting of her mother's hand across her face. Falling to her knees Ebony hit her head hard against the side of the kitchen table. The world spun around her, Ginny's voice seeming to buzz in her ears. In the distance Ebony heard the phone ring distracting her drunk and crazed mother. She almost cried out in relief. Ginny looked down at her daughter in disgust. "Finish the dishes and then get your ass in bed!, she growled, before spinning around and leaving the kitchen to answer the phone in her bedroom.

Ebony picked herself up off the floor ignoring the pain in her face. She quickly did the rest of the dishes. Turning off the kitchen light she walked quietly through the dark living room to her dark bedroom. Not bothering to turn on the light she softly shut the door and crawled into bed. Listening to her mother's conversation, although it was muffled by the wall, Ebony could still hear her mother pretty well and it sounded like she was talking to her boyfriend Tony. Her guess was confirmed a moment later as she listened to her mother. "No Tony, she's still lying to me!" Ebony wanted to laugh at that. She wasn't lying, the bastard was sick. She could still feel his hands on her, groping and carressing. Ebony groaned feeling the bile rise to her throat. Shivering, tears sliding down her swollen face, Ebony asked herself the question that had been eating at her. Why didn't her mother love her enough to believe her. "Tony, she just doesn't want me to be happy! That's why she is telling these lies", Ebony heard her mother say but what she said next caused Ebony to cry out in pain. "No baby I don't believe one word of what she says. I love you!" Ginny's voice sounded soft and loving. How long had it been since Ginny had talked like that to her Ebony thought, trying to drown out her mother's voice by placing a pillow over her head. Ebony closed her eyes remembering what it had been like before her mother had met Tony.....
