Angels dancing in my dreams

An aching hunger in my heart
Fill me like you would a part
Take me break me far away
Steal my soul for another day
Claim me as your own you say
Hurt me break me as you may

Reliance holding like a mire
Try to pull away and break
Impale myself upon your stake

With a sigh, I press my cheek against the rough surface of the bark. This tree is so unusual; the bark doesn't crumble or flake, doesn't harbour a host of parasitic ants and mould like so many other trees do. Even here, in the Willow Grove, the other trees can't hold a candle against this tree.
