A/N: Woah. Its been forever since I submitted anything! What with school and my art and roleplaying, I just forget to write! XD; Any and all reviews are appreciated to help keep me inspired. *wink* And here we are, the ninth chapter!

Giggles rang out into the air as they ran through the grassy fields, the flowers in full bloom. “Come on, Seliez!” a girl called, her long blonde hair tied into childish pigtails. The boy she’d called to laughed, running a hand through his oddly colored hair before running after her. As she ran, she winced suddenly, dropping to her knees. “Ow…something bit me…” she mumbled, rubbing her ankle a bit, then smiling up at Seliez as he placed a hand lightly on her shoulder. “Are you alright?” he asked, biting his lip softly. The girl nodded, smiling…then collapsed onto the ground, her eyes glazed over, vacant. Seliez cried out at that, grabbing her by the shoulders and shaking her slightly. “April! Wake up! Wake up!” he gasped, tears welling up in his eyes. . .
Yeah. He remembered her. April. The only person he really fell in love with. She died young, bitten by a snake. The snake itself wasn’t all that venomous…but she had had an allergic reaction. He had blamed himself for her death…and after she died, he doubted he’d ever fall in love again.
He was starting to doubt that assumption now, with Darres in his life… he really had hated the vampire at first. But now his feelings for the other were so conflicted, he didn’t even know what to think anymore! Damnit, it was time to confront Darres and ask him why the hell he hadn’t been around for a few days. He heard a soft grunt as he approached the man’s room…and he froze when a groan answered the sound. That definitely wasn’t Darres. Worried that the vampire had brought a victim back home, he threw the door open, his jaw dropping at the scene that was presented before him.
Darres on top of a very pale boy, who had his head thrown back, mouth wide open as he gasped, revealing a pair of fangs. He gripped Darres tightly as the man rocked into him, gripping his hips tightly, their bodies connected there…
Seliez was broken out of his trance when he felt wetness on his cheeks, and he shakily raised a hand to his face, finding that he had begun to cry. Frightened and confused at this, he ran from the room, slamming the door behind him.
‘How dare he…! How dare he, that fucking bastard!’ the boy growled in his head, biting his lip. ‘I hate him..! …but…wait, why the hell does it bother me so damn much!? I shouldn’t care! I hate him anyway! I don’t care. I don’t. I don’t care if he’s fucking someone…’ he didn’t finish his thought, collapsing to his knees and burying his face in his hands, shoulders shaking. “Someone…other than me…” he whispered.
