Chapter 8

Chapter 008: The Road to Xasthur Part Two :
He felt the lips pressed down in a savage need upon him. The tongue slithered into his mouth as his wrists were firmly held and the weight of Jasper's strong yet slender body pressed him into the soft banks of the stream; his long black hair flowing out into the chill stream water. He felt the tongue brushing up against his teeth and sides of his mouth. He felt the other tongue holding down his own; which was trying to force the other one out of his mouth.
Rosenbrim felt relieved and gasped for air when Jasper finally pulled back. The hands still holding down his wrists. Rosenbrim looked into those eyes as the other panted, a bit of salvia from Rosenbrim's mouth dripped down the side of Jasper's face from the kiss.
Magnus spoke firmly, "Stormblade! Get off of me. I have no desire for this. I already have someone. I do not need this kind of support or protection by you."
He saw pain come into the other's eyes. Rosenbrim frowned slightly. "If you do this you must know that nothing will come of it. YOu may have feelings towards me; but I feel nothing for you."
The dark haired wizard sighed in relief as the other stood up. He shook out his long black hair. He turned quickly as strings shot out towards them. They stabbed into his veins. He screamed in pain from their entry.
Jasper's blade slashed them in half. He saw her step out from behind the trees. Rosenbrim could not believe how blind he had been. It had not only been Jasper that had followed him here. No doubt Rosalyne had come as well. But she looked different her eyes were not the amber he remembered. They were a sea of gold and her ears were long and tapered like those of a demon. But everywhere else she was still his sister.
Rosenbrim mouthed, "Rosalyne."
Her voice was cold towards him this time. He seemed puzzled by that fact, "That is no longer this body's name. I am Lauriporra now, Wizard Rosenbrim."
Jasper moved to stand between Lauriporra and Magnus Rosenbrim. His body tense and his sword ready for attack. Rosenbrim gently pushed Jasper aside.
"This is my affair; not your's, young Stormblade." He told the other firmly.
"I do not know what the Hordes of Iced Earth have done to you, sister. But I shall not allow them to use you." Rosenbrim told the black haired, half demon.
Jasper stood at the side of Rosenbrim; his sword drawn and ready. Rosenbrim didn't have to look over to know that the silver haired warriors was beside him. He knew these things through his other senses; both magical and physical.
Rosenbrim started to chant an incantation to put the young sorceress to sleep. A blast of sorcerious wind knocked him to the ground and broke his concentration upon the spell. Lauriporra started another short spell just as Jasper charged towards her.
Instead of the wizard being caught up in her spell it was Jasper. Plants sprouted forth and grew swiftly to form a net of green vines and flowers around the silver haired youth.
Rosenbrim spoke a solitary word of pure and the vines burst forth into flames; falling to ashes on the ground. Rosenbrim stood up and shot forth his hand with another short spell that sent a blast of wind against Lauriporra.
The dark haired wizard summoned forth another spell as the half demon started to chant again. Jasper rushed her. He knocked her hard to the ground. But it was to late. Their two spells had finished.
Out of the ground it rose up, an armed, earth golem. A small group of blue winged elves no taller then a few inches materialized at the same time. The water elves attached themselves to the golem. Their tiny arms clamped down on the golem. The two creatures fell to earth becoming nothing more then simple mud.
Jasper was hit hard by the fists of Lauriporra. Her hands then went for his throat; strangling him as Jasper tried to bring his sword up to the woman's throat. He gasped for air.
Rosenbrim made his way towards them; unsure of what to do now. He knew he couldn't kill his own sister; even if she had become a demon, and yet if he did not then she would surely kill the youth; whom had such a potential future.
Rosenbrim fell to his knees in defeat as he saw the Stormblade's sword pressed against her throat.
"ENOUGH!! I shall surrender myself to you." Rosenbrim said. He then ordered, "Sir Stormblade, I order you to desist."
Jasper let go of her as she removed her hands from his throat. Jasper said, "You can't be serious, Lord Rosenbrim?"
It was then while Jasper's eyes were on Rosenbrim that Lauriporra drew her dagger swiftly and stabbed deeply into the back of Jasper. Jasper turned on her as she hit him hard with the pommel of her dagger. Jasper fell to the ground bleeding from his head and back wound.
