Chapter 9
\"Got me looking so crazy right now your love got me looking so crazy right now, Looking so crazy your love got me looking got me looking so crazy your love!”
Marty walked in the room to find Robin dancing around and yelling to that song that played every damn day in their room these days. “Girl, how many times you going to be crazy in love?”
Robin laughed and turned the music off while Marty went to lounge on her bed. Robin walked over to her bed and did the same. “So what’s up with you girl?”
“Same ole same ole. That means I’m going to hit up this party later on while you hang out with Marcus.”
“Nope, not tonight. Tonight I am Marcus free, he had plans.”
“Wait! Marcus had plans that didn’t include you? Now that is news.”
“Yep I know, but I’m cool with spending a Saturday night without him.”
“This means you are going with me, right?”
“Well………….since I have been neglecting my little child I guess I have to go.”
“Great it will be fun. Just watch, I bet you love this party. The Alpha boys are throwing it.”
“Marcus wants to be an Alpha,” Robin said with dreamy eyes.
“Man, no talking about Marcus tonight.”
“Whatever.” Robin and Marty laughed because they both knew this was not the end of hearing about Marcus tonight.
**************************
Robin and Marty arrived at the Alpha party just in time to see the Alpha boys put on a show. It was known around campus that the Alpha’s were the guys every girl wanted and they didn’t have a problem getting those guys no matter who stood in the way. Marty was interested in Chris the senior in the frat and as soon as she spotted him she excused herself from Robin, saying she would be back, but Robin knew that was not true. She walked around the party looking for someone she knew when she saw Marcus dancing with some girl she didn’t know. From what she could tell this girl didn’t know that Marcus was involved, that would explain her having her ass all up in his face.
“Hey, what you looking at,” Kevin tapped her on the shoulder.
Robin turned around quickly trying to forget what she had saw, “Nothing.”
“So I saw you over here and I just wanted to say hi and maybe ask for a little dance.”
“I don’t know Kevin,” she said and then glanced at Marcus still with that girl, “Ok We can dance.” Kevin grabbed her hand and led her to the dance floor just in time for Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together.”
*******************
Marcus had danced with Tina after she asked him for the hundred times. He really didn’t even want to be here, but he had to be seen if he wanted to be an Alpha. He had given her one dance, but was not going to slow dance with anyone, but his girl because they were the one’s that belonged together. Just when that thought passed his mind he saw Robin dancing in Kevin’s arms. He couldn’t even believe she was here. She claimed to hate parties that’s why he never invited her, but here she was with her dear “friend” Kevin. Marcus bet he just waited until he was gone to get closer to Robin. Marcus wasn’t having an other man with his hands all over his lady. He walked over to them. “Robin, funny seeing you here,” he looked at Kevin, “Can I cut in?”
“Sure.” Kevin let go and walked away. Marcus took Robin in his arms and danced to the words. She placed her head on his shoulder just in time to hear him whisper “We belong together,” in her ear. She raised her head and placed her lips atop his and kissed him like she never had before, but she didn’t put her all in it and he could tell.
After the song Marcus took her hand and led her to a sofa. “What is it baby?”
“Nothing, I’m fine,” she wanted to ask who that girl was, but didn’t want to be the bitchy type.
Marcus made her sit on top of him and asked her again.
“I’m fine.”
“No you’re not. You seem different. Did Kevin do something because if he did I can handle him? No one messes with you and gets away with it.”
“No it’s not Kevin, it’s you,”
“Me?”
“Yeah”
“Why would you be mad about me?”
“Why didn’t you tell me you were coming here?”
“Don’t tell me you’re mad that I came to a party. Because you told me you hated parties, but I guess you just couldn’t say no to Mr. Kevin. Right?” Robin got off his lap and looked him in the face.
“You think I like Kevin. Please! I’m not the one who was all up on some girl with her ass all in my face. That was not me that was you. So don’t give me shit about Kevin.” She walked out of the Party with Marcus running behind her. When he caught up he grabbed he arm and swung her around.
“That’s shit Robin. I don’t give a damn about that girl and her ass. I was just dancing because she asked like 30 times. Believe me I don’t want her or what she is selling. I happen to be happy with what I got.”
“Well you are shit too if you believe that I’m not happy with what I have. Kevin ain’t shit to me. He and I are just friends. Damn I have told you that a so many damn times. Can you get that through your stupid head? I don’t want Kevin; I want you and only you.”
“How am I suppose to believe that when you are dancing in his arms to a love song? If you saw me you could have come to me, I would have left Tina in a second for you. I want you and only you too.”
“Whatever?” Robin pouted.
Marcus smiled and pulled her into his arms. “Don’t pout it makes me want you and I’ll take you right here, I’m not afraid.”
“Shut up, I’m mad at you.”
“You can punish me at my place. Let’s go.”
“Punish you? That sounds so good, but I can’t, not tonight.”
“Why?”
“I’m hanging out with my girl tonight.” Just when she said that she saw Marty running up to them.
“Hey girl,” then she looked at Marcus,” and Marcus. So are you just going to ditch me for him?” She asked Robin who was still in Marcus arms.
“Nope he is going home alone or just not with me. I’m yours tonight.”
“So it’s like that. I can be with that. Just call me tonight.”
“Now that I can do.”
“Love you,” he kissed her lips.
“Love you too, bye baby.”
“Bye. And bye to you too home wrecker,” he smiled at Marty and walked back to the party.
“I knew you couldn’t go a night without talking about Marcus,” Marty laughed and grabbed her friends arm walking back to their dorm.
“Shut up,” Robin laughed, “You knew I couldn’t.”
They laughed all the way back.
