Silent Sreams Chapter 8
Chapter 8

Jason‘s POV
~~~~~~*~~~~~~
I opened my eyes only to be blinded by the sunlight coming through my small window. Groaning from the pain in my lower half, I got out of bed and made my way to the shower, not bothering to check the time. As I made my way to the bathroom, I quickly scanned the house for Alec. Fortunately he wasn’t home.
I turned the shower on as hot as I could bare, I stepped in wincing as the hot water hit the fingernail scratches and razor blade cuts that Alec had riddled my body with . Soaping up the clean washcloth I had grabbed beforehand , I began washing the feel of Alec off of me. My skin burned from the hot water, and the force of my relentless scrubbing. Fuck. I couldn’t get him off of my skin, the feel of him was under my skin, crawling, leaving little holes as it ate away at my already diminishing soul.

Running a hand though my hair, I tried to work up the courage to knock , after my shower I had looked at the clock to find out that I had already missed half the day of school. So, Instead of going I decided to go for a walk and had somehow found my self at Gabriel’s apartment door. Before I had mastered the courage to knock a gentle voice came from behind me,
“Hello.” Whirling around I came face to face with a very amused Gabriel. “Didn’t scare you, did I?”
“No,” I lied as I looked behind him, where a very timid and mousy-looking women was standing, she had a small figure, tawny coloured hair, and warm brown eyes.
“Oh, Jason this is my sister, Sarah.” Gabriel said as he noticed where I was looking.
“Hi, nice to meet you.” Sarah said with a very timid, quiet voice.
“Hi.” I replied, with a quick nod.
“So, what brings you here?” Gabriel asked, as he opened his apartment door. And motioned for me to enter, along with Sarah. I shrugged, as I wasn’t quite sure of the answer myself.
I followed Sarah and Gabriel through the door, and I bumped into Sarah accidentally. I could barely hear the word “sorry.” escape her mouth.
“No, it’s my fault” I said.
“Don’t be a stranger- help yourself to anything.” Gabriel offered.
“I’ll prepare lunch!” Sarah added as she dashed ahead into the kitchen.
I walked with my eyes towards the ground, as Gabriel ushered me into the living room. Sitting on the couch, I sheepishly started examining my finger nails, avoiding Gabriel’s eyes.
“You okay?” Gabriel asked walking towards me kneeling down to look into my eyes, “ Your very quite, and you seem paler then normal.”
“I’m fine,”
“Okay, if there is anything you want to talk about, just shoot.” Gabriel smiled as he made a weird shooting gesture with his hands causing me to smile slightly.
“Lunch.” Sarah’s smooth voice called from the kitchen. Standing up I fallowed Gabriel into the kitchen, and was met with a table of sandwiches.
We all ate in an uncomfortable silence, until the silence was broken by a question directed at me from Sarah.
“Shouldn’t you be in school today?”
I glanced up from my tuna sandwich and gave her a little nod, hoping she would get the clue and leave me alone. Apparently not.
“Why didn’t you go?”
“None of you fucking business.” I snapped. Gabriel Slammed his fist down onto the table with a loud bang. I jumped and whimpered, dropping my sandwich , I scooted away from Gabriel, Terrified. I felt tears well up in my eyes and I hesitantly wiped them away, scared of angering Gabriel further.
~~~~~~Gabriel’s POV~~~~~~
I watched in surprise and anger, when Jason snapped at Sarah. I slammed my fist on the table to get his attention, to angry for words. I watched in surprise as his whole attitude changed , he jumped and whimpered an action that tugged at my heart. Jason had then scooted to the edge of his chair where he was now looking down at the table, while hesitantly wiping away the few tears that were trickling down his pale cheeks.
“He’s scared of you,” Sarah said quietly, glancing up at me. “Normally I would see if he was okay, but since it was your ill-mannered way of handling the situation, I’m going to the living room, you can handle this.” and with that she walked out of the room.
“I’m sorry.” Jason whispered still staring at the table top.
“It’s okay,” I approached him slowly, reaching out to put my hand on his shoulder, he jerked away falling off the side of his chair. Coming to him quickly, I knelt down and pulled him to me before he could react. He gasped and tried to pull away, pulling him onto my lap, I put my arms around his small form. I told him it was okay over and over again in a soothing voice and eventually I felt his arms slowly wrap themselves around my neck, burying his head into my neck.
“Jason, are you sure your okay?” I asked, I felt him nod against me, but somehow I didn’t believe him. I brought ourselves up from the floor and wrapped my arm around his waste leading him to the living room where Sarah was sitting on the couch reading a book, she looked up at us and smiled. Smiling back I led Jason to the couch sitting him down.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to snap like that.” Jason directed to Sarah, who responded with an ‘Its alright’ and a quick nod of her head.

Sorry for taking so long to update and I hoped you liked this chapter. I’m planning on finishing this in about 1-3 more chapters and then I’ll be writing the sequel (maybe). Me and my best friend have been thinking it up and I think its going to be a lot better then the first, more eventful, with some comic relief which this story is clearly lacking.
