Unspoken Threats
Una is not a god, he's like... Clare from Heroes, except he doesn't heal instantaneously, it takes time, he doesn't have to set bones for them to heal, his body will mend and set the bone without outside help, and he has really cool powers. When Una first wakes up his thoughts are as follows. Make sure no one "kills" him. Food, trailers, bargaining... then maybe sex. He's skipping all the steps and straight into sex! Of course he's also cranky, but I've never seen Una directly after he wakes up, he's usually up and clipped and dressed properly and on his way before I find him again. Guy hides really well. I've just heard that someone is stopping reading because it's complicated and I killed off the one person they like... Even Sequel seems to be winding down. I think I know Mik's state now, but I don't think it's goign to be well liked. While playing with Una is fun, I have to admit he speeds things up. His presence is like lighting a fire under everyone's butts. Whoot. Read, Review and Enjoy. The man focused on Rel, eyes roving up and down the young man hungrily as he said something in another language. Something that seemed almost like their own language but not quite. When their eyes met, the man trailed off and muttered something under his breath. Attention turned from Rel to Mari, up and down and then to Muan. The man bit his bottom lip, questioningly, or lustfully? Before hesitatingly asking Muan a question in Muan’s language. Not Sidhe, not the Sidhe Rel had been learning, but in Muan’s own language. Muan responded and a conversation ensued that had the man making motions to Mari and Rel and Muan shaking his head. The Sidhe was quite excited about having someone else to talk to but the man nodded as he said the same word over and over and made a motion like he was pushing at the ground. Muan trailed off and scuffed his feet on the grass. The man asked a clear question and Muan huffed out an answer that sounded like Mari’s name. Mari straightened at the sound of her name and gave the man a death glare. A look that dared him to try something. The man smirked, of all things, and walked up to Mari, grabbing her by the back of her head and drawing her close enough to kiss. And kiss he did, even as Mari smacked her hands on his naked chest, as she lifted a knee and caught him in the groin. His naked groin. Rel looked the man up and down, only then realising that he was completely and utterly naked. No clothing where he came from? And what kind of manners were those? Kissing a woman like that! Pervert.Mari and Rel looked at one another for a confused moment before Mari sighed and Rel looked away. That hadn’t been one of them imposing thoughts, they had simply had the same thought. The man eased to a straightened position and said something to Muan in Muan’s language. Muan shrugged out of his jacket and handed it over to the man, who quickly tied it around his waist before looking over Mari and Rel, then off to Paw. “I apologise,” the man said to Mari, finally, an odd lilt lifting the ends of his words, “the use of such a power requires physical contact and an open mind. Wish. Which. Such a harsh language… which For a woman of your stature, is very difficult to do. My name is Una, you must be Mari, and you, Whisper, I am happy we have now met. Your summons was what awoke me.” Una looked at Rel, smiled, then on to Paw, “Hello, Whiseh.”Rel straightened, confused. He wasn’t certain exactly how to point out that… wait. What? Paw was a Whisper, why greet Whisper then greet him again with another word? Rel looked about himself in confusion, what the hell was Una.“Whisper?” Una looked directly at Rel, puzzlement and concern playing over his features, “are you alright?”“Me?”“Ka, yes, you.”“I’m not a Whisper.”“I beg to differ,” Una responded quietly, “what kind of a world do you live in, that you cannot recognise the powers of a Whisper when he walks before you? And not just any Whisper, Whisen, the Whisper chosen by Ayato as his highest of priests before the Whispers tended the throne?”There was a long silence before Muan said something in his own language which involved hand motions. Rel investigated Muan’s mind with his own. Muan was going on about how he had known Lel was a Whisper but Lel didn’t get the hints and how could he explain it in another language when his own people weren’t entirely certain how to explain a Whisper to strangers?Rel glared at Muan. Muan stuck his tongue out at Rel. “Whisper Lel, please, it is beneath you to participate in such childish flaunting of power.” Una tightened his makeshift covering and glanced about him, “hardly the place I would want to gather at. Such a bright, happy day too… What are you four doing in a cemetery?”Mari flicked open her cell phone, walking off as she began a quick conversation with someone. Which involved hand motions and a tone of voice that implied she was in some kind of shock. Una watched Mari for a moment, head cocked to the side. “Tell them to bring me some clothing,” Una called after Mari. “And a hat! A hat with a nice brim! And would it be too much to get a virgin while you’re at it? I haven’t had sex in four hundred years! Is she even listening to me, she’s not listening to me, is she?”Muan said something that made Una’s head whip around. “What do you mean you don’t know how to?” Una snapped, to which Muan responded with a long shrug, “Well… then it’s not your fault you’re ignorant. And yes, I could teach you however-” Muan said something that made Una’s lips twitch upward, “bargain struck, Sidhe, though I think I’ll be the one who comes out for the better of that.”“Of what? What bargain did you just strike? You can’t strike a bargain with him, I’m right here.”“Game piece to Game Master, Whisper,” Una said to Rel coldly before turning his attention to Mari, “ah, lovely, is someone bringing clothing?”“Yes,” Mari said quietly, “we’ll be given a ride to the program.”“Good,” Una nodded. There was a long pause as Una looked each of them over once more. When the man turned his attention back to Mari he smiled. “Oh. And Mari? It would take more poison than you are capable of making to kill me for longer than an hour, so don’t try it. I tend to get…” something in the air crackled as Una brought his hand up for emphasis, an unspoken threat, “cranky when people try to kill me.”.
