Chapter 8

Matt swallowed as he prepared to answer, but Tobias cut him off, “I just left your apartment not more than ten minutes ago. Why are you calling?”

“Uh, well…”

“Is something wrong?”

“No… Nothings wro-”

“Because I could turn around if you need me to. I’m only a few minutes away.”

“Really, Tobias, everything’s fi-” Matt gritted his teeth in annoyance as Tobias cut him off yet again.

“Are you sure? Look, I’m turning around, I’ll be back there in a-”

“Tobias! Everything. Is. Fine. Now stop cutting me off and listen.” There was silence from the other end and Matt’s frustration ebbed away as worry took its place, had he been too harsh? “Tobias?”

“I’m listening.” The tone didn’t sound angry, it actually sounded… amused?

“R-right. Uh, Mallory called after you left and, well…”

“Well…?”

Matt frowned into the phone, knowing that Tobias was probably smirking on the other end, “He asked if I wanted to go to this club tonight, and when I told him that we’d already had plans, he… Uh, he asked for you to come as well.”

“Is there a problem with that?”

“N-no…”

“Great, so it’s decided what we’re doing tonight?”

Mat frowned again, but didn't voice his disappointment that Tobias didn't shoot down the club idea, “Uh, yeah. Mallory said he’d be here around 6:00 I think, which means we won’t be leaving here until at least 7:00, most likely later.”

“Then I’ll be at your place at 7:30. Is that alright or should I come earlier?”

“No, that should be fine, I doubt Mallory will leave until you arrive, he seems hell bent on both of us going tonight.”

Matt heard a chuckle from the other end of the line, “Alright, I will see you then. Any requests for dressing?”

“Um…” Recalling Mallory’s words, Matt snorted before saying, “Yeah, 'dress sexy'.”

“I will try. Unfortunately I have to let you go, driving manual with one hand is a bit of a problem, especially in town.” Now that Matt was listening, Tobias' voice did sound rather strained, and he could hear a couple horns honking in the background.

Matt cursed under his breath, “Why didn’t you say something earlier? You could of wrecked!” Sighing in frustration, he could hear Tobias chuckle on the other end, “I believe I’m a better driver than that. Goodbye, Matthew.”

“Right, bye.” He could hear the other still laughing as he flipped his phone shut, shaking his head. Running a hand through his hair Matt looked down to realize he had still yet to get changed, and headed back to his room to do so. Deciding once he got there that a shower sounded good first, a long cold shower.

-------------------------------

The rest of the day went much too quickly, after finally getting dressed for the day he decided to pass the time working on some unfinished projects in his ‘art’ room. And then, before he knew it, a buzz rang out from the intercom located next to his front door, signaling that Mallory had arrived. Sighing in defeat he buzzed the red head up, unlocking his door so Mallory could come in, and headed back to the room to begin cleaning up his supplies. He heard the front door open as Mallory entered, calling out a hello as he did so.

“In here.” Mat called back, placing the charcoal pieces he had been using back into the small box with the rest. He glanced up when Mallory appeared in the doorway, and the red head grinned before full out laughing. “What?”

“You really need to be more careful when you’re using charcoal.” Mallory said still grinning from ear to ear.

Matt frowned at him, “And you know how messy these things can be, now move so I can get cleaned up.”

Mallory was still grinning but he moved out of the doorway to let Matt by, “I brought you what you’re wearing tonight, it’s out on the couch.”

“Great.” Matt replied in a deadpan voice, making his way to the bathroom. He paused when he looked in the mirror, there were black smudges on his forehead and cheeks, and one long smudge across his jaw line, all from where Matt had rubbed his face at one time or another. Maybe he should be more careful when he's drawing.

Mallory leaned against the doorway, still with that grin, “Don’t worry, it’s not too revealing.”

Matt rolled his eyes as he began washing his face and hands, “Coming from you that’s real assuring.”

Mallory chuckled and walked away, coming back a few minutes later with a small bag in one hand, and a larger bag full of clothes in the other.

“What’s that?” Matt asked, pointing to the smaller bag.

“Part of your… ensemble… so to speak.” Mallory flashed Matt a grin as he set everything on the bathroom counter.

“I really don’t like how pleased you look with yourself right now.” Matt said worriedly, glancing at the bag.

“That’s because you’re no fun.” When Matt glared at Mallory the red head sighed, “Look, it’s nothing bad. Just some hair stuff, you spoil sport.”

“That’s it?” Matt asked in slight disbelief, and Mallory just nodded, “Oh…”

Mallory smirked, “What, disappointed?”

Shaking his head, Matt quickly replied, “N-no! Just surprised is all.”

“Well, get dressed. I can’t put that stuff in until then.”

“Then get out, I’m not changing with you in the room.”

“Aw, that reserved only for Snowball?”

Matt glared at Mallory who only chuckled and raised his arms up in defense, “Aright, alright, I’m going.”

Once out of the door, Mallory leaned against the wall beside it, keeping the door open so Matt could have his privacy but they could still talk, “So… Speaking of Snowball, I’m guessing he stayed the night?”

The icy reply came back, “Still not seeing how that’s your business, but yes.”

“Did you guys…” A hand appeared in the door way and made the motion as if pushing a button, “Eee-ern.”

Matt stared at the doorway, but Mallory couldn’t see the look the brunette was currently giving him, “….what?”

“You know…” Mallory did the same movement, once again accompanied by the sound effect.

“You could just say sex.” Matt said dully, though his cheeks were now completely red.

“Just sex is no fun, eee-ern is much better.” When Mallory made the sound his hand did the motion again and Matt just shook his head, amazed at the childishness of his best friend.

“You sound like a little kid’s bike horn. And no, we didn’t.”

“Ah, so that’s why you’re in such a grumpy mood.”

“I am not in a…” Matt paused as he pulled out the last garment in the clothes bag, “What the hell is this!?”

“God, you take forever to dress. I was beginning to wonder how long it’d be till you found it.”

“This is a skirt! There is no way in hell I am wearing a skirt!”

“It’s not a skirt, it’s a kilt. There’s a difference.”

Matt came storming out of the bathroom, in only the top of the outfit and a pair of boxers, obviously forgetting his state of undress in his anger, “No, this is a skirt, do you see how short it is? I don’t even know many girls who would wear something this small!” He held the kilt up to his waist, and Mallory had to fight back the laugh threatening to escape.

“Hm, you’re right… there’d be no way for you to wear it, your boxers are longer than the hem.”

Matt looked down, realized just how he was dressed, cursed and ran back into the bathroom, slamming the door shut behind him. Mallory leaned against the hallway as started to laugh, hearing more cursing directed his way through the doorway.

Several minutes later, Matt opened the door; back in his own clothes, still looking both furious and embarrassed, “I’m not wearing that thing.”

Mallory shrugged, a smile still playing on his lips, “Oh, I know. Just wanted to see your reaction.” He turned and walked back into the living room, leaving Matt to gape behind him like a fish out of water.

It took till Mallory was out of the hall for the brunette to finally find his voice, which was when he almost screamed, “You what!?”

Picking up a pair of pants sitting on Matt’s couch, Mallory turned and tossed back to the livid brunette, “Here’s the real bottoms.”

Instead of another scream, which is what Mallory was half-expecting, Matt just glared before saying in a deadly calm voice, “I hate you so much right now.” And then headed back into the bathroom again to change.

Emerging several minutes later, Matt’s arms hugged his middle, obviously uncomfortable in the outfit, though Mallory ignored it and instead grabbed the brunette’s arms and pulling them off to the side so he could look at the clothes. “See, I knew you’d look good.”

“Couldn’t I just wear one of my own shirts?”

“Nope, none of yours would fit the pants right.” Mallory said, circling around Matt to look at him from all sides.

Matt looked down at him self as well and his frowned deepened. He really didn’t see what was all so special about the shirt Mallory had given him, it just looked like a too-tight white tank top that was so old the green and black design on the front was unreadable and small holes dotted the hem from wear and tear. The pants weren’t too bad though; they were black and loose once past his hips, above his hips however they felt a size too small, making Matt uncomfortable. “Are you sure these pants are the right size? They feel tight.”

“Are you kidding me, they’re the perfect size, especially for showing off your tight little ass.” As he said this Mallory smacked said tight little ass, causing Matt to yelp and jump away from him, now glaring. Mallory only grinned in response before walking toward the bathroom, grinning even more when Matt turned so Mallory had no easy access to his backside. “Come on, we need to get your hair done so it can dry, and then I need to get changed.”

“You need to? You’re not wearing that?” Matt asked with a frown, Mallory’s clothes were always stylish on a certain level, and while today was slightly toned down compared to the norm, just a small t-shirt and fitted jeans, Matt didn’t see anything wrong with it. But, obviously Mallory did not share his viewpoint because he laughed lightly before replying.

“What? Of course not. This is just day wear, now hurry up and come over hear so I can start on your hair.”

Sighing loudly Matt walked over to the bathroom counter, which Mallory was currently loading up with many towels from his linen closet. “So what is it this time? Those spike things again? Or how about that weird ponytail thing you did before, that only took about an hour to get down, taking half my hair with it. I swear sometimes you’re trying to turn me into a girl with all the crap you do to my hair.”

Mallory laughed, “Nope sorry to disappoint you, but its just hair color.” He pulled out a familiar bottle from the bag and tossed it to Matt.

“Green, huh? This is pretty tame for you, wasn’t the last time you died my hair it was bright purple or something like that?” Matt traded the bottle for the large towel Mallory was holding, before wrapping said towel around his shoulders, effectively protecting the white shirt from any mishaps. Not that something like that happened too often, the temporary hair dye that Mallory was fond of using was very easy to apply, with the nozzle of the bottle actually being a comb there was very little mess, but it was better safe than sorry.

Obviously Mallory decided to ignore his last comment, instead singling out a small part of hair near his face and applying the green coloring. He repeated this process a few more times, so that Matt now had several streaks of bright green running through his hair, before stepping back and nodding at his finished ‘masterpiece’.

“All right, all done! Now remember, don’t-”

“Don’t touch it for the next half hour. I know, I know. I’ve only heard you say it about a twenty times.” Matt muttered rolling his eyes, heading out of the bathroom and into the living room. Glancing at the clock below his TV, Matt saw that it was starting to get close to 7:00 and frowned, had it really taken that long to get ready? Deciding to take care of Hades now, since he doubted he’d be home at a decent time, Matt fed the dog his supper, before taking him for a walk, making sure to remove the towel from his shoulders first. Once back at the apartment, Matt hung the lead on the rung next to the door, but then turning around and freezing when he saw Tobias standing in his living room, calmly perusing Matt’s CD collection that towered in one corner of the room.

Turning toward the sound of the door shut, Tobias smiled when he saw Matt, his eyes doing a once over before and the smile widened, “Good evening, Matthew. I hope you don’t mind?” he asked, nodding toward the CD’s.

“N-no, it’s fine.” Matt said with a shrug, and Tobias turned back toward the towering collection, leaning over to look at some of the labels, which was giving Matt a very good view from behind. Obviously Tobias had listened when Matt said to ‘dress sexy’ because the faded jeans Tobias had on right now were making the brunette drool with how absolutely amazing they made Tobias’ back end look. Matt wasn’t even sure what Tobias’ shirt looked like because he was so focused on those damn pants.

So focused, in fact, that he didn’t notice Tobias had turned his head back in his direction until he said Matt’s name loud to give the impression that he had been trying to get Matt’s attention for awhile, and jolting the brunette out of the current daze he was in. Realizing he had just been caught ogling the other man’s behind, Matt’s face went completely red; the smirk Tobias was currently wearing wasn’t helping either.

“Uh, s-sorry, did you say something?”

When Tobias held up the CD in his hand, the sheep that was on the front cover easily recognizable and Matt felt the blush fade as his face paled slightly, “Just kind of surprised by your music choice, Matthew. This is a little mainstream for you isn’t it? Most of the bands in here I’ve never even heard of, but this,” Tobias waved the CD casually, his smirk widening as Matt’s eyes followed its path, “Seems rather out of place in your collection.”

“I-it was just a gift, from Mallory. He into bands like that.” Matt tried to play it off, secretly hoping to end this conversation and hide the CD like it should’ve been, before Mallory got done doing whatever he was doing and came out into the front room.

But Tobias was having none of that, “Really? That’s surprising seeing as how it’s signed on the inside, and with how popular this band is, I’m shocked that Mallory would just give it away.” He opened the disk as he said this, and Matt could easily see the bright silver sharpie signatures from the multiple band mates adorning the CD.

“Yeah, he’s a good friend like that. Could I have the CD back, I want to put it somewhere safe.” Matt asked extending his hand, though Tobias made no move to hand the disk over.

“You know, maybe I should as Mallory where he got this CD signed at, I know of a few associates that would love to have a signed copy for their teenage daughters.” Tobias said ponderously, watching Matt out of the corner of his eye to garner his reaction.

The rest of the color drained from Matt’s face, and he jumped forward, “No! I-I mean…” Sighing in resignation, Matt held his hand out once again, “Just give me the damn CD, and don’t tell Mallory… Please?”

Tobias smirked but handed him the desired item, “Just to let you know, it’s not a sin to like Fall Out Boy, Matthew.”

"It is when you're supposed to be the anti-mainstream listener, and Mallory's you're friend. He'd never let me live it down if he found out I liked them." Matt muttered before turning toward the coat closet behind him, reaching to put the CD on the very top shelf at the back, but not quite reaching. He was about to give up and try hiding it in a corner when he felt Tobias come up behind him, taking the CD and placing it on the shelf, his other arm casually wrapping around Matt's as he did so. "Oh, I'm sure it wouldn't be that bad. Besides, I think it's cute that you're a fanboy."

"Am not!" Matt protested, and could feel Tobias chuckle behind, "And stop laughing at me!"

Tobias leant down to whisper into the shell of Matt's ear, “I apologize, perhaps I could find a way to make it up to you?”

A shiver ran down the brunette's spine, “Oh? A-and how do you expect to do that?”

“Hmm…. I think I can come up with something…” Tobias said, running his lips along the outer edge of Matt's ear before moving lower to nip at the smaller male's neck. The one free hand that had been on the shelf slid under Matt's chin, angling his head farther up and over to give Tobias better access to his neck, which the white haired male to full advantage of. The hand around Matt's waist flattened against his stomach and slowly moved lower, causing Matt's breathing to accelerate the farther down it traveled, stopping just short of what was really wanting attention, causing the brunette to make a small sound in the back of his throat. "T-Tobias…"

And that seemed to be the breaking point for the taller male, because suddenly Matt turned around and moved, so he was now pushed against the wall next to the closet door. There was a split second where Matt blinked up at Tobias before the other man was on him, hands on both sides of his head angling it upward to make the kiss as deep as it could be, making Matt moan appreciatively. But apparently the angle wasn't good enough for Tobias, because the hands left his head and moved lower, grasping the back of his thighs firmly and hoisting Matt up against the wall, causing the brunette to gasp in surprise.

Matt then moaned into the taller male's mouth when Tobias stepped forward the rest of the way to fully pin the brunette against the wall, making an appreciative noise in the back of his throat when Matt wrapped his legs around his waist, pulling him, if possible, even closer. Tobias chuckled slightly into the kiss when he felt Matt's hands fumbling with the front of his shirt, before releasing one of the smaller male's hips to slide a hand up and under the tight tank the brunette was wearing.

“Oh, Jesus Christ! Can’t you two keep your hands of each other for five flippin’ minutes?”

Matt’s eyes flashed open and he pulled his head back, breathing heavily and face flushed. He could see Mallory standing in the hallway, hands on hips in an annoyed fashion though he looked rather amused. Tobias, however, didn’t seem to share the feeling, because instead he sighed in annoyance and let his head fall forward to rest against the wall above Matt's shoulder, “Please don’t tell me we’re getting interrupted again.”

“Um…” Matt began uncertainly, but Mallory cut him off.

“Sorry, lover boy. But we’ve got plans tonight. Which means, Matt, please remove your hands and, uh, legs, from Snowball so we can get going.”

Matt blinked and looked down, his face becoming, if possible, even more red as he quickly unwrapped his legs from around Tobias’ waist and pushed the taller male away so his legs could actually touch the ground, to which Tobias begrudgingly complied.

“I… uh…” Matt swallowed uncertainly and heard Tobias chuckle above him before leaning down to place a small, chaste kiss on the brunette's mouth. Well, it started chaste, but began to escalade until…

“Christ, get a room you two!”

Tobias chuckled once again as the kiss broke again, and glanced back at Mallory, “Well, if you say so.”

Matt yelped when Tobias wrapped an arm around his waist and pulled him away from the wall, moving as if he was going to do just as Mallory suggested, until the redhead blocked his way, “Ah, ah, ah, don’t you think your getting off that easily. Now put the shrimp down and let’s go.”

Tobias sighed and released Matt, who then quickly stepped away just in case Tobias decided to get grabby again. Not that he minded, just it became rather hard to concentrate on other things whenever that happened. Turning to the redhead, Matt asked, “So, where exactly are we going anyways, Mallory? You never really said.”

Mallory smirked, "It’s a surprise. Oh, and by the way, we're taking my car, which means I'm driving, and you two are getting separated, one in the front seat and one in the back."

"What? Why?"

"Because, one, as nice as your car is Tobias, Porsche's have shit for backseats and I for one refuse to try to squeeze back there, and two, you two seem to be unable to keep your hands off each other for longer than two minutes, so there is no way in hell I'm letting you two in the back seat of my car together. Who knows what antics you two would get up to by the time we get to the club." Mallory said with an air of authority, causing Matt flushed as he thought of just what kind of 'antics' they could get up to, and could see Tobias smirk out of the corner of his eye. "R-right. So, are we ready to go?"

"Almost, I need your help with the rest of my outfit." Mallory said, turning and heading back to the bathroom once again. It was now that Matt finally noticed Mallory's outfit, which was a pair of tight deep red leather pants and a tight long sleeve shirt that looked woven out of pure silver. How the hell did I not notice that? Matt wondered as he followed Mallory, that shirt made the red head practically a walking disco ball.

As he walked into the bathroom two bottles where thrust into his hands before Mallory turned away from him, "I just need a streak of each in the back and then we can get going."

"Uh…" Matt looked down at the two bottles, both identical to what Mallory had used in his hair earlier, only one was black dye and the other silver. Looking back up at Mallory's hair it was pretty easy to tell where he wanted the streaks, since throughout the sides of his red hair there were alternating streaks of black and silver and only the black was still wholly red, but there was a slight problem. "Mallory, I can't reach."

"Hm? Oh! Sorry, I forgot how much of shrimp you are." Mallory kneeled down, putting his head in easy reach for Matt, though now the brunette was slightly tempted to just squirt out the dyes all over Mallory's scalp, screw how pissed the red-head was going to be afterwards. Deciding to behave, Matt sighed and set to work putting the streaks in, "Alright, done."

"Really? Great! Let's go." Mallory hopped up from the floor and took the two bottles from Matt, who turned to leave the bathroom only to almost run into Tobias, causing the brunette to frown at the odd look he was getting from the taller male. He heard Mallory snort behind him and turned to see the redhead acting as if he was trying not to laugh.

"…What?" Matt looked back at Tobias, who was now smirking as well, and his frown deepened, suddenly feeling like the only one left out of on a joke. Or, worse yet, the butt of someone's joke, which when Mallory was nearby that was usually the case.

"Nothing! We should get going, yes?" Mallory brushed past the other two and headed for the front door, with Tobias following behind and Matt bringing up the rear, still frowning at their odd behavior. Turning lights out as he went, Matt gathered up his phone, wallet, and keys before moving toward the door, where the other two were waiting for him.

"Ready?" Mallory asked as he approached, still smiling slightly. Matt frowned once again but nodded, following the two out the front door and locking it behind him.

Once downstairs, Mallory headed for his car, a bright red Mini Cooper, unlocking the car for the other two before sliding into the front seat. After a moment of indecision Tobias took the back seat while Matt got the front seat, quickly buckling up once inside.

"By the way, Matthew. Where is your motorcycle? I don't see one nearby." Tobias asked as he buckled himself in as well.

Mallory snorted as they started to pull out of the parking spot, "Are you kidding me? Matt, leave his precious bike outside where it could get hurt? Highly unlikely."

Tobias frowned slightly, "…So where is it?"

"Storage. There's a place that stores all kinds of vehicles, so I keep it there whenever I'm not riding." Matt explained, turning in the seat slightly so he could see Tobias.

Looking slightly confused, Tobias asked, "Doesn't that make it a little hard to access it?"

Matt shrugged, "I don't need to drive it around town, there's enough public transportation that owning car isn't a requirement, so that just leaves long distances and I don't leave town enough to need it available 24/7. It's safer and easier this way."

"That and he's extremely overprotective of his bikes. What was it you told me one time?" Without waiting for a response Mallory continued on, "Oh, I remember, something along the lines of, 'if I have to go through two locked doors to get into my home, it's only right that my bike gets the same treatment'."

"Well, it is only right! Cars at least have doors and locks on them, with a motorcycle everything is just out in the open, much too easy to steal." Matt harrumphed, sitting farther down in his seat.

"Hey, hey! Watch the seat!" Mallory grabbed Matt's arm with one hand and pulled him forward so his head was no longer against the seat, glancing over at the seat before sighing in relief and focusing on the road once again, "Good, your dye looks to have dried enough."

Matt swiveled in his seat to look at where his head was laying and sure enough, there wasn't a mark from the green dye on seat. "Sorry, guess I forgot about the dye."

"S'alright. Didn't mean to freak on you, just that stuff his hard to get out of fabrics, trust me on that." Mallory said with a smirk as they turned another corner.

"And you call me overprotective." Matt said with his own smirk, now noticing how ramrod straight Mallory was sitting in his seat to make sure his head didn't touch the headrest.

"Damn straight I'm overprotective, took me 3 years to get this car, I'm not going to let the seats get ruined just because of some hair dye."

Matt rolled his eyes, "Would've been easier to just not use the hair dye in the first place."

"Not a option, the hair dye goes with the clothes, can't wear one with out the other."

"If you say so." Matt mumbled, looking out the window.

"Hey, which of us is the fashion designer and which is the website coder? I know what looks good when it comes to going out on the town." Mallory said with a smirk, and Matt couldn’t help but shoot back, “Yeah, but don’t you specialize in women’s clothing?”

There was a brief pause before, “…Shut up.”

Matt snickered silently in his seat, knowing how touchy Mallory was on that subject, and could hear Tobias’ soft chuckle from the back, which only caused Mallory to sulk further.

The rest of the ride passed in relative silence, Mallory still looking sour in the driver seat, while Matt sat beside him looking rather smug, glad he was able to get the redhead for once. When Mallory pulled into a half-full parking lot that sat just off a side alley, hidden by the tall buildings around it, Matt looked around in interest. On the back of one of the tall buildings was a small door with a good-sized neon sign hanging above it that read, "The Back Alley".

"Nice name." Matt said with a smirk as Mallory found a parking spot and turned off the car.

"Hey, it's better than it was called." Mallory returned with a slight smirk, already forgetting about how he was supposed to be miffed at Matt.

"And that was…?" Tobias inquired curiously as the exited the car and headed towards the entrance.

"'Meat Market'." Mallory said seriously, to which Matt winced visibly and Tobias shook his head, chuckling silently. "Yeah, exactly my thought as well. Thankfully the new owners have slightly more sense."

Coming up to the entrance, they could hear the pounding music through the walls and door, and Matt grimaced slightly. "Is it a requirement for all clubs to have loud, blaring, annoying music?"

"Yes it is. Now go, I'm sure everyone else is already inside." Mallory shooed Matt toward the door, and the brunette rolled his eyes before opening the door, wincing once again as the music now pulsed in his head uninhibited, and then walked inside. The area just inside the door was well lit, with metal furnishings that gave the area a rather industrial look, and a desk a few feet inside that partially blocked the entrance into the actual club. The two workers standing behind the smiled as the guys approached, and had to yell to be heard over the blaring music.

"ID please." The male yelled/asked, and Matt had to wince again at just how much the poor employees throat would probably hurt by the end of the night. Fishing out his wallet, Matt handed his ID to the male before getting out the required cover charge that was posted behind them and giving it to the woman that stood at the register. Once approved by the scanner the girl placed a wristband on his right arm and waved him into the club, sans ID, while they started on Tobias.

As he waited for the other two to get through the check, Matt looked around the club, trying to see if he could see the guys, though it was hard to see anything through the spotlights and strobe lights that consisted of the dance floor. There was a good number people there, which was rather odd giving the early time, but by the looks of it the club could still fit in at least three times as much was currently there. After only a few moments he felt the now familiar presence of Tobias behind him as an arm slid around his waist to rest there comfortably, and, Matt noticed, somewhat possessively, if the way it tightened every time someone glanced their way was any indication.

Matt was about to make a comment to Tobias about his demeanor when Mallory appeared beside them and pointed up and then to a flight of stairs that Matt had failed to notice earlier. Getting the idea, both him and Tobias followed the red head over to the stairs and upward, to a second floor that seemed like a completely different club than the one downstairs. The music was much softer in volume, and the dance floor was smaller, giving more room to the circular tables and chairs that surrounded it. There wasn't quite the number of people upstairs that there was on the first floor, and most of them were occupying tables and booths instead of the dance floor. Obviously this part of the club was more for talking than dancing, and maybe even more than that going by how dark some of the corners were, the blackness easily blocking the view of everyone else inside the club.

Catching sight of a few people waving in their direction from one of the tables, Matt started forward only to be pulled backwards and turned by a hand on his arm. About to voice his confusion, Matt was effectively cut off by Tobias sealing his lips over the brunette's, pulling him closer so their bodies were flush against each other. Making a sound of muffled protest in the back of his throat Matt pushed against Tobias' shoulders lightly, but instead of backing off Tobias just became more insistent, slipping a deft tongue into the smaller male's mouth. Sweeping his tongue in just a way that that made Matt's knees buckle and turned his small pushes into clutching at the other male's shirt for support, Tobias chuckled and broke the kiss, rather proud of the flushed cheeks and dazed look that now graced the brunette's face.

Coming back to himself, Matt shook his head slightly as if to clear it, and frowned up at he taller male, "W-what the heck was that for?"

Smiling down at the still blushing brunette, Tobias shrugged in a nonchalant kind of way; though his eyes were gleaming in a way that made Matt suddenly feel rather self-conscious. Clearing his throat nervously, Matt looked to the side and noticed Mallory watching them with raised eyebrows a few feet away, obviously wondering what all that was about.

Frowning once again at Tobias and his odd behavior, Matt turned and followed Mallory to the far corner, where their friends were waiting for them. And probably just got a nice view of Tobias assaulting me in the middle of the dance floor, Matt thought sourly as he glanced back at the other male, who was still looking quite proud of himself. When Matt turned his attention back to the table and actuallysaw who was sitting there he stumbled to a halt as things finally fell into place. There was Brice and Ayden, who Matt expected, since they're always invited when Mallory wants to go out somewhere, but the one that surprised him was the man who was sitting at the far end of the table and currently sending glares over Matt's head, directed to the taller male behind him.

Feeling a hand at the small of his back, softly pushing him forward, Matt allowed himself to be steered toward a seat, all the while Matt could feel his cheeks flush as he silently cursed Tobias in his head. As Tobias took the seat next to him, still with that self-satisfied grin that definitely had an undertone of possessiveness to it as he wrapped an arm around Matt's shoulders, he addressed the currently seething dark haired male at the other end of the table, "So… Trent. It's good to see you again."

Matt looked over at his friend and one time lover, and saw the man's eyes narrow before he corners of his lips turned in what Matt assumed was supposed to be a smile but instead looked more like a snarl. "Yes, it's nice to see you to, Tobias." His eyes noticeably darkened as he glanced over at the arm resting on Matt's shoulders, and the smile became even more forced and ghastly.

The rest of the guys were looking uneasily back and forth between Tobias and Trent, and Matt swallowed nervously and slumped back in his chair, feeling uneasy from the sudden elevation of stress in the room.

Yeah, tonight was just going to be oodles of fun…
