Seliez had avoided him for the next few days. To sleep, he’d gone down into the living room and lay on the couch. A couple of times, he had woken in Darres’ bed, growling softly to himself at the fact that the vampire had successfully moved him gently enough that it hadn’t woken him.
And almost a week went by like this, and every time Seliez ran into Darres, he would turn around and walk in the opposite direction with a low growl.
Darres grew tired of it fast. This was beginning to really piss him off. ‘Damn kid.’ He thought with a light growl. Though, he was puzzled; since Seliez hadn’t shown any interest in him before…not willingly anyway. But the fact that they’d nearly kissed, and that the boy had initiated it…was very confusing to him. It was however, encouraging, because he now knew that Seliez at least was curious about what it would be like if their relationship became a bit more...friendly. If you wanted to call it that.
But in the last few days when Seliez had stopped even acknowledging his presence, he had decided it was time to end this foolishness. As the boy walked past him that day, seemingly unaware that they were in close proximity, Darres turned to him, gripping the boy’s wrist in a tight grasp. “You’re avoiding me.” He said lowly.
Seliez growled at him, attempting to shove the vampire away, but finding himself unable to. Darres had him in an iron grip, red eyes narrowed in an unamused glare. His grip tightened some, until the boy winced in pain from the tight grip.
“Tell me Seliez. Are you so disgusted by me that you pretend to not even notice my presence? I have done nothing to you, as of late.” Darres growled lightly.
“Shut up!” Seliez snapped, cutting him off. “Don’t say it…!” He struggled against him some.
Darres sighed softly, and pulled Seliez into an embrace. The boy was so shocked by the kind action the he froze, cheeks flushing lightly. “W-…wha….”
“Do you really hate me that much…?” Darres asked quietly, sounding pained. He figured that the rough approach would not work with the boy long ago. At least….not without some kindness thrown in there. He wanted to keep Seliez’ fighting spirit…. it wasn’t that he wanted to break him. He just wanted him to…. bend a little.
His thoughts were interrupted by the boy’s cold glare. “Yes.” Seliez murmured lowly, breaking away from him and walking off. Dejected, Darres sighed faintly and walked back to his room. He needed some sleep…
Seliez ran from where Darres had confronted him. How dare he! After what had happened… But… Now that he thought about it he was the one who had tried to kiss him. It had been as if he were in a trance… he had already been able to feel those cool lips against his own, taste the sweetness of his mouth…
Then Darres had opened his eyes. That had broken the trance he’d been in, forced him to realize what he was thinking and he bolted. Even just moments before… it had felt nice to be in his embrace. The thought scared him.

‘Running.
Screams of terror.
Blood everywhere.
Cornered.
Pain.’
The vampire tossed and turned in the bed sheets, growling softly and whimpering some. He was drenched in sweat, and finally let out a strangled cry, trapped in his nightmare. No matter how terrible it was for now, he would not wake.
His cry of fright awoke Seliez, who slept down on the couch. Startled, he got up, rubbing his eyes and going to investigate what the noise might be. He padded upstairs, the sounds coming from Darres’ room drifting to his ears. “Darres…?” he called softly as he peered in, momentarily forgetting his anger.
Darres’ eyes shot open as he panted heavily. His body quaked slightly and he was looking a bit paler than usual.
Seliez immediately turned cold. “Damnit, why are you making so much noise?” he demanded angrily, though he earned no reply. Darres had wrapped his arms around himself and was shaking. Badly.
Seliez’ anger dissipated in seeing the vampire in such a fragile state. He tentatively stepped towards him, then paused a moment to see if the man would move. He didn’t. So the boy walked closer, then gently laid a hand on Darres’ shoulder.
Darres jerked and looked up at him, red eyes wide. “Seliez…I…” but the boy shushed him, placing a finger to his lips lightly before embracing him.
No anger. No hate. Just a warm embrace, as if the two had been life long friends. Darres bit his lip faintly and clung to him, pressing his face against the boy’s shoulder. The vampire breathed deeply the scent of jasmine mixed with a scent that was purely Seliez. He said nothing, for if he had it would have shattered the gentle moment between them.
After a while Seliez gently pushed him back onto the bed and lay beside him, cradling Darres’ head in his shoulder and closing his eyes. The vampire blinked faintly in surprise, but smiled a bit, nuzzling the boy a bit and closing his eyes as well. He knew that their relationship would once again be hateful in the morning…. But for now, he didn’t mind.

A/N: yes I added more fluff. XD; I couldn’t help it. This idea popped into my head after a comment I got from a reviewer, saying that they would like to know a little more about Darres and Seliez. Im letting you guys know about darres at the moment. So, yes, even he gets nightmares… ^_~
