Chapter 07 - Journey

Chapter summary: Shandaar and company leave for Fatshir, on a separate road as Kordell’s group, while Ethan and Xylon both reach the capital...

Author’s Notes: A lot of different parts in this chapter ^^;. This might be a bit confusing, as some happen in the same time, some at different times… but I cover every group and in one case, twice. I’m trying to take a chronologic approach though… but that still might be confusing. Next chapter will be clearer… I hope. Added one new warning. If you don’t mind incest, perfect! If you do, I suggest you to stop reading this. Anyways, once again, thanks for the reviews, and if you like it (or can help me get it even better), well, there’s the review link in the bottom of the page! ^^.

Take Me Away
Chapter 7 – Journey

It was around five in the morning when Dagmar woke up. Normally he would have let the three youths sleep more, but if they wanted to leave this morning, the bets time do it was before the town would be crowded. He walked over to Kieran’s bed – who shared it with Shandaar – and “gently” poked the adventurer until he was awake. As gently as he was able to. “Come on, wake up. Let’s leave early. We’re gonna get horses to reach Fatshir. Walking there would ages.”

Kieran groaned and turned his head away from the massive man, who simply continued to talk.

“I expect you people will be ready in half an hour. The earlier we leave for the stables, the better our chances to get fast horses will be.”

Another groan, and the raven-haired male turned once again, shaking his lover to wake up him. “Wake up honey, we’re leaving soon.”

Shandaar tossed as well, not used to get up at such early hours. The thing that forced him to get on his feet was the man he had been sleeping with was now getting dressed. He reached for his new clothes, omitting the chain mail. He wouldn’t need it right now. Yet he grabbed the sword and sheathed it once dressed. His head moved as Dagmar went to pick up the provisions, and the n at the door.

“You guys wanna eat here, or later on?”

The young adults looked at each other. The choice was rather obvious. “Let’s wait” Kieran answered for the group, looking around one more time to make sure he hadn’t forget to pick anything. The woman did the same, hoping someone would have left something behind, like the black-haired adventurer had found the book. Nothing though, so she left behind Shandaar.

“I’m not that hungry anyways… I can easily wait a few hours. The past events have taken their tolls on my body I could say…” No one could blame him for not being hungry because of what he had been through the last hours, but the axe man and the thief had even less ideas of what had really happened. As long as they wouldn’t encounter Ethan, everything would be good.

The streets were still empty when the group made their way out of the inn, after paying, of course. There was no way the prince of Kadessa was going not to pay this night at the inn, so he had insisted on paying for everyone in the end. They kept refusing but after a few death threats… everything was solved. Their next place to stop was the stables, where they would get horses. Normally Shandaar would have supplied them, but the circumstances didn’t allow them to go back at the castle.

After a few moments of discussion, they came to the conclusion Dagmar wouldn’t – simply couldn’t – take a horse due to his size; however, the stable had other, larger animals that could be used as transportation as well. That’s where the prince’s money had been a blessing. The harrat, a descendant of the sabertooth tiger, with red fur and large fangs, didn’t mind having to tug on carriage, but it could only take the giant with him. The three others had gotten two horses. Raya would have one to herself, along with the provisions and other bags, while Kieran and Shandaar would share the other.

“How long do you think this is gonna take us to get to Fatshir this way?” the pink-haired girl asked, not feeling really comfortable on the animal. She was used to travel on foot most of the time, and enjoyed it. Now on a horse, she couldn’t move that much. And the kitty, as she had nicknamed the harrat, was a bit slower than the horses, which made it even harder for her. She didn’t like to wait very much.

The bearded man shrugged and tugged on the beast’s harness to try and force him to speed up a bit. “I’d say a week or so…”

“A week?! Oh my god… this is gonna be long! Do we have enough food? Or can we stop in villages? We’re gonna die before reaching this place!”

“Why do you think we bought A LOT of food?” Raya groaned and almost fell of the horse as she let her body limp, letting out a high-pitched girly shriek. “For a girl who’s not afraid of heights, you seem to have some problems with riding a simple horse…”

She pouted and got the pink bangs out of her eyes, clinging to the reins right after. “…. That’s none of your business.”

The royal heir chuckled and rested his head on Kieran’s shoulder, whose arms were wrapped around the thinner waist, having control of the horse this way. “Don’t worry, Raya. We are all scared of different things. Am I right?”

“Yeah. Oh… that reminds me…” the adventurer added, having paid attention to his lover’s choice of words. “You’re gonna have to get used to speak like commoners if you don’t want to get recognized right away. So you should start talking like us. Use more contractions and simple words.” He then repeated Shandaar’s sentence as he’d have said it himself. “We’re all scared of different things, eh?”

“Oh okay, I think I understand how it works now. Let me – huh… lemme try it. Like this?”

“Yep, like that.” Kieran nodded and smiled at his boyfriend, giving him a quick kiss on the neck, which made the younger man shiver. “I think you’re gonna get good.”

For Xylon and his group, the road to Kadessa had been rather longer from their hideout; a day and a half instead of about nine hours. They also had been attacked from bandits, and some of their resources had been stolen. Two women had been raped, and another killed, as well as three men who tried to defend the group. However, this wouldn’t stop him. No, it’d take much more than a bunch of thieves to stop Xylon Daffyd. After all, it’s not like they didn’t know that everyone would make it alive… but he knew that at least, he could survive. Yes, that had been a loss, and some loved ones would have bad news, but that was expected. Casualties were higher in wars anyways.

The streets of the capital were now crowded, for it was past three o’clock in the afternoon. Many women made their daily shopping, and a few men could be spotted doing the same. Work wasn’t restricted to men only. In fact, many females had good-paying jobs like bankers and merchants. It was a new transformation, but they had picked it up quite fast. If their ruler was a woman, why couldn’t they do the same jobs as men?

The green-haired man made his way to one of the city’s many pubs, after asking directions. He wasn’t alone, but no one in his group was native of Kadessa, and even if there had been someone, the city had undergone changes in the past year. They were in a rather new district, which was more commercial than residential. With some luck, people would have seen a silver-haired guy accompanied by a big guy, a thief and an adventurer, and he had figured out a bar was the better place to ask such a question.

Once he found the so-said pub, he got inside, and went up to the counter with a grin on his face. He liked crowded places where attractive males hung out. “Hey barman, I’ll take a cold beer” he declared to the middle-aged man in front of him, who quickly answered to the newcomer’s desire of alcohol. “By the way… you seen a young guy around here, between 18 and 20, shoulder-length silver hair, blue eyes…”

“Nope, sorry lad. But if I do, should I tell ‘im you were searching for ‘im?” Kadessans had such a strange accent.

“Nah, gonna be okay. Thanks anyways……… I’ll still take the beer though.”

In the end, there were a few men who had seen a guy like Xylon had described. Apparently, he was at an inn a few days ago.

“So we fucking missed them…” he said to one of the men that had come along with him. Obviously, he was gonna pay for it if they couldn’t find the Prince. “Let’s get outta here and try to find the inn… it’s like searching a needle in a haystack.” After paying for his beer and sending his men in different parts of the town, he left the establishment and headed a few blocks down, finding an inn… finally.

“Seen any silver-haired man around? With a tall guy, a small girl, and a… random guy” he asked, trying to remember the three others’ description. Oh and to hell with them! Shandaar would be easy to spot anyways.

“Yeah, they left this morning. Sorry lad. Better luck next time.”

His yellow eyes widened at the thought… maybe they had left early. This was great. “Next time? It’s not like I can wait…! Where did they go?!”

The woman shrugged and gave a key to a young couple who had just paid for a room. “Do ya think I know that? Not like they tell us where they go usually, y’know? But lemme ask my hubby.” She turned and made a few steps in the back of where she was, obviously speaking to a guy. “Earl! Y’know where that guy with silver ‘air went? Y’know, he was in a few days ago… Where?! Stable?! Sheesh, I ain’t ‘ere 24/7!” She then turned to Xylon again. “The stable. S’all I know… I ain’t running the stable.”

“Thanks ma’am.” With this, he left the inn, and sat near the fountain, hoping his other men would have gathered a bit more information.

-

The Prince hadn’t come back yet, and the advisors were obviously freaking out. Under the orders of the Queen herself, Ethan Darby was sent to Kadessa City a few days after the young man had disappeared. Fear of abduction started to grow, and if they couldn’t find him soon, the whole castle would soon notice, and more people would freak out. Emergency state should have been contained to the advisors and counsellors. Still, that was a hard thing to do. It’s not like they had the means to monitor everything that got out of their mouth after meetings…

The whole army hadn’t been sent for the same reasons. Only Ethan and a few guards entered the city, asking just a few people about a young man with silver hair. He could have always pretended he was a relative, but with guards around him, the possibility of this man being a criminal was a better thing to say in order to avoid fear.

Most of the inns hadn’t seen a youth with this description. Some had longer silver hair, some had same haircuts but with different colors, similar clothes… but nothing describing Shandaar. Frustration made him stop him stop near a fountain… he HAD to be found! There was no way he’d have disappeared into thin air. He had to have been taken away against his will, or maybe with his will, who knew the Prince enough? Sure he spent a lot of time with the younger man, but so far, he hadn’t had seen exactly why he’d have ran away. Although their last encounter… and even there. Shandaar was a fighter. No. He had been kidnapped. Only thing he could find that made sense.

“Now where the hell am I gonna find him?”

Beside him, there was a small green-haired man, with yellow eyes, who turned toward him. “You’re searching for someone? Maybe I can help… describe him. Might have seen him around town…”

-

Fatshir, finally. It had been a long way there; even by horse... yet it was fast. Kordell, Karali and Radwan entered the city limits and went straight to the inn. Six days, at 12 hours of horse ride per day had gotten them tired, and their food rations had run low a day ago. Of course most of the people were used to such operations; it wasn’t their first time in Fatshir. The place was rather small. They had a market place, two inns, a pub, a blacksmith and everyone had a farm where they’d grow their own food. A real countryside city, with poor attention from the castle. The guards had been killed a long time ago, and no one ever reported their deaths.

“Two rooms, please” the red-haired man asked, getting his pouch ready to pay. It didn’t take a lot of time for the guy at the counter to give them two room numbers. They were separated by a room though. Not that it mattered to them. Radwan was aware of what was going on anyways. For tonight, he’d sleep alone. Price to pay to travel with his employers…

The trio ordered food and climbed to their rooms, occupying Karali and Kordell’s for now, trying to come up with a plan.

“They’re most likely going to come here, if they ran away. I just hope that your boyfriend will be able to find a guard or someone to tell that we have him” the woman stated, chomping on her chicken already. Boy she was hungry. Most of the food rations had gone to the twenty or so people that followed them, and who had taken a turn around the place. They probably were hunting, but first thing they would do tomorrow morning, would be buying more food.

“And what if not? What if they had been stopped already, or worse, killed on their way here?”

“Oh Kordell, don’t be such a downer. They can’t die with Shandaar…”

“Oh yeah. That.” Radwan put his fork down and yawned, feeling tired. “I guess one day I’ll have the full explanation?”

“Yeah, you will in due time. But now, I suggest we focus on finding the brats. Tomorrow morning, at 9, I want everybody awake, up, at about 2 miles from here. We’ll meet there. Until then, you’re free to go whenever you want. Sleep or not, doesn’t matter. But be ready at 9. Got it?”

The blue-haired warrior nodded and dug in his plate, finishing it in a record time. “I’m gonna go to sleep. G’night.” It would be weird to sleep alone, but he’d have to deal with it. Not that his lover would probably mind it… well either he would be sleeping alone too, or had found someone else to spend the night with. He was aware that Xylon had casual sex with other men, and as long as he wasn’t there to witness it, it wasn’t that bad. In person, maybe he’d have killed a few persons, including his beloved. Once in his room, which he found rather calm, he got naked and slid in his blankets, still unable to think about anything else than his male lover. ‘I must sound like a girl that can’t be comforted ‘cause she’s been away from her boyfriend for too long. Oh boy…’ However, it didn’t take him much time until he fell asleep…

In the other room, the siblings were done eating and had decided they’d share a bed for the night, as they always did. Their bonds were strong; maybe even too strong for a brother and sister…

-

A bed! Finally! After about six days of travelling, it was nice to sleep in something better than the ground itself. Shandaar –really- wasn’t used to this treatment. Of course he had been warned, but frankly, there could have been worse. After all, he had agreed to tag along. Whatever happened was his fault. Fortunately, only a few beasts had attacked them, mostly because they carried food. Overall, they thought they had done it rather fast. Dagmar had gotten a room for himself, as well as Raya. Shandaar and Kieran were left alone in another, across the hall, in front of Raya’s. The raven-haired man had thought it was a bad idea that they had gotten this one, for the thief was also a good spy, and if they started to get it on, she’d surely come and watch them.

Kieran was the first one to get his clothes off, soon followed by his mate. They even had a private bathroom, and it was highly tempting on walking on the silver-haired heir naked and wet. Lack of showers was something that also bothered the younger man, who was used to a high hygiene degree. So he was quite happy to finally get a decent bath. A few moments after the silver-hair man had gotten out of the small room, his hair dripping with water. Even his body wasn’t that much dry; he could see it glisten under the lights. “Why do you have to be so damn hot?”

That comment got a smile on the prince’s lips as he continued to walk toward his lover, eventually climbing on the bed, moving like a cat. “I’m happy to be there tonight. If I hadn’t had ran away, I’d be at the castle, bored, without anyone to hang around me…” He lets a contented sigh out as he fell over Kieran in a short laughter, wrapping his arms around the man’s neck, going for a kiss at the same time.

There was no reason of being startled, and the adventurer found himself kissing back, running his hands over the naked body that topped him, especially on the sides and hips. “Well now I’m all wet…”

“Good reason to get naked too, no?”

Kieran grinned and looked at his mate in disbelief. “Oh so that’s why you got out of the shower like this. Bad boy. I love you.”

The other man chuckled again and simply resumed the kiss, trying to get rid of the clothes that separated him and his boyfriend. Why so many buttons on a shirt? Couldn’t they make something that would take less time to take off? And now the pants… well those were easy to put off. And he even removed the underwear at the same time. His eyes widened at the exposed member before he lowered his head over the tip, giving it a teasing lick. Seeing as the reaction was favourable – well, when wasn’t it favourable? – he ran his tongue on the length, drawing kisses here and there as he climbed back up, then took the tip in his mouth.

Kieran gasped at the move and clung to the sheets under him. He loved it when Shadaar was being such a dirty man. He could see the head bob up and down on his member, feeling the tongue running all over him until he was hard. Those big blue eyes looked at him hungrily, and he wondered if the man wasn’t grinning. Yes, he was! Maybe he’d let him top, for once…

No, not tonight.

“On your back, my prince” he added with a wink. That would be the most comfortable position anyways. “Well?”

The heir didn’t move from his spot and stared at him with a look of defiance, something that didn’t happen a lot. Usually he was rather calm, almost submissive, yet when it was question of sex or fighting, there was this grin that came back. It turned him on.

The adventurer finally sat up as he wet his own fingers, while Shandaar lied on his back after all, his legs spread apart so Kieran would have all access needed. He refrained from clenching the muscle too much, since it would have hurt more, yet he found it somewhat hard to do. He could feel it move around inside him, and soon didn’t mind it. It didn’t feel like a forced intrusion anymore… even though it had never been forced. That’s when the older man had the go to insert the second finger and a short while after, the third. He had been tempted to keep on finger-fucking the youth, that would have been a sweet option… but what about his own arousal? Of course in the end he could have finished himself off, but it would ruin the fun.

Now thrusting in air, the silver-haired male groaned and sat back up, positioning himself over the erection, slowly getting down and impaling himself on it. This time the intrusion had been much less painful, but he still waited until he was completely penetrated to open his eyes, as if he was making sure everything was alright around. For a moment, the two men looked at each other, keeping a mental image of each other before their lips met, quickly changing from an innocent kiss to something much deeper and romantic, their arms wrapped around waist shoulders, moving up and down their backs. “You’re so tight…” he mumbled in a moan. Their last time had been over a week ago; since then, they had little privacy. Now was the night to make up for it.

Shandaar felt himself ready, once he had gotten used to the feeling of being filled again, and slowly thrusting upwards and downwards, expecting the other to follow soon. And that’s what happened a few seconds after. Of course he didn’t use all of his strength right away. He began slowly as well, kissing the man on the neck and collarbone, which induced a shiver and a moan. Pleased by the reaction, he did it a few more times before lifting his hand in the silver hair in order to kiss him again. He loved how Shandaar tasted, almost as if it was accentuated whenever they had sex. Was the prince a drug? To Kieran, the best drug ever. The “drug” was moaning… this wasn’t a hallucination.

Unable to go as hard as he wanted because of the arms wrapped around his waist, the raven-haired man was pushed back on the bed, which gave him the intention of using his hand once more. So with one hand, he stabilized his royal lover while the other moved up to the chest, gradually going down the abdomen and around the erected member, pumping away while Shandaar towered over him. Sometimes he slowed down due the hair getting in his eyes and would throw his head backwards, making him look exotic and wild. Kieran’s position enabled him to see every detail of his smaller lover’s body, which he considered perfect, but for now, he was glued to the flustered look he had, his mouth gaping for air as he pushed himself over and over again the shaft, letting more moans out.

“Shandaar… oooh… you’re such a bad boy, yet you’re such a good fuck…” Maybe in the end the silver-haired prince was better off in his own little word, after that comment, although he would have probably taken it as a compliment. A rather loud compliment it had been. Still he found no reason to lower his tone.

“Kieran… harder…” he asked as he impaled himself on the man, aware that it wouldn’t last much longer. A few thrust, and the older man shot his seed inside his lover, his body slowly going limp, almost numb. He could still see Shandaar bouncing on his shaft, his eyes half-closed, his mouth still open, squirming and asking for release. He finally emptied himself on the equally muscled chest after a round of passion-filled screams. Automatically, he fell on the adventurer, releasing the member from his insides, and rested his head on the broad chest, panting heavily. Quite a workout. “There better be inns here and there on our journey…”

-

Shandaar… oooh… you’re such a bad boy, yet you’re such a good fuck…

What was that? Shandaar? What were the odds of encountering someone called Shandaar, while searching for someone called Shandaar, in the boring inn of a remote village? It didn’t take twenty seconds for Kordell to stop his movements. His partner groaned and pushed herself a few times on him to get him out of his trance, moaning loudly as well, but to no avail. Something was going on indeed.

“What the hell is going on?” she asked, pushing her red hair out of her face. “Kordell!”

“Shhh!” The male covered his sister’s mouth with his hand, making sure she was able to breath. Of course he received a growl for that, then a bite when she wasn’t yet released. Better on his hand than on his dick, he thought, finally taking it back.

“What’s going on?!” Karali asked in a quieter voice, still frustrated that their little bonding time had stopped. Frankly, the bastards going at it in the other room would need to be killed or something.

“Guess who’s in the room beside us. Listen.” Instead of picking his pace back up, he stood still again, his head lowered in attention, like a lion waiting for his prey.

Kieran… harder…” Kieran. That name sounded familiar… now what were the odds a Shandaar and a Kieran would travel together in a remote village?

Very low.

“We found them… the prince. He’s in the room beside us getting his pretty-boy-ass fucked by his new personal bodyguard.”

The woman stood quiet and cringed as she heard the sounds made by the two men. “At least they reached orgasm…”
