Chapter 8
Seiyoku
I watched
as Koshi fell asleep, his body slick with sweet smelling oil.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> His alabaster skin shimmered in the dim
light of our room. I sighed deeply
before popping my neck. I needed a good
massage, not that there was anyone here who could oblige me; I would have to do
something about that when I had the time.
I kept putting things off, didn’t want to deal with things that weren’t
important and this was one of those things.
It was important but not to anyone but me.
“Sweet
Koshi, sleep well.” I whispered before getting up to go check on Nai.
There was
always the possibility that he would awaken on his own but that wouldn’t be
very pleasant for him. I knew from
experience what would happen if he woke up on his own.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I myself had done so but no one had come to
check on me. I was left in my room to
writhe in pain. I shuddered at the
memory.
“Damn you
Kyuuketsu Seizon.” I hissed softly, “Why did you have to do this to me?” I
growled, shuddering again at the remembrance.
I rubbed
my arms as if cold, it was absurd of course, temperature wasn’t important.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I shook my head, banishing the memory and
continuing on. I unlocked the door and
walked inside. Nai hadn’t moved, was
still lying on the bed. He looked like
an angel but that look soon faded as it was replaced by pain.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> His eyes snapped open and he curled into a
fetal ball.
“Uwaaa!”
He criedurtsurts.” He yelped in pain.
Gently I
stroked his head, “Hush.” I whispered, “Close your eyes, go to sleep.” I
brushed his hair away from his face. I
gazed into his eyes and repeated my commands, “Sleep.” I watched the pain drain
from his face as he slipped back into oblivion, “Now I can deal with other
matters.” I walked out and made my way below to see Shogai.
I wanted
to talk with him about the recent events, I was sure that he had already
collected the corpses so I didn’t need to worry about dealing with the bodies
that now littered my halls. I strolled
leisurely down the stairs, making my way below. As I neared the bottom, I heard Shogai singing softly.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He seemed quite pleased with himself, or
with his new materials. He was
positively beaming when I saw him.
“You look
pleased with yourself.” I said as I looked him over.
He
smiled, “No, I’m not pleased with myself, I’m just happy.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I’m happy to have you as a master and am
happy that I have been provided with new materials.”
I nodded
knowingly, “I see, well, I need to speak with you.”
He tipped
his head to the side in a questioning manner, “About?”
“The
recent events. Especially those
involving your clan.”
“Ex-clan.”
He corrected, “What about them?”
I sighed,
“I grow tired of dealing with them. I
do not desire to kill anyone right now, it is not always an enjoyable
experience and it’s just getting tedious.
Something needs to be done to deal with this problem.” I stated, leaning
against the wall.
“I
understand but what can be done? They
will not stop, once a wolf has set their mind to something it is difficult to
dissuade them.”
“The same
can be said for vampires and I will not stand for it any longer.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I now have other things to deal with, a new
vampire, my old vampire, not only that but the Assembly, and police officers
who are too nosey for their own good.” I sighed, “Damn it all Shogai, I’m just
plain tired. There’s far too much on my
plate. Contending with werewolves is
not really high on my priority list, especially wolves who do not know where
they stand. Your ex-clan has absolutely
no respect for those with superior standing.”
He sighed
before hacking into one of the human corpses before him, “I understand master
but some things cannot be helped. If
you would like me to leave then I will, all you have to do is say the word.” He
tossed a hunk of bloody flesh over his shoulder, “I will understand if you do
not desire to risk those dear to you for my sake. I can find a way, I’m sure I can, it’s just a matter of how to do
it. The clan does not like to give
people up, not matter how long they were a part of it.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I realize that I wasn’t in the clan for
long, that the moment they left me to die I didn’t matter to them.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> They always said that the clan was your
family and that family could never be broken.” He paused, “Liars.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> All of them liars. They never told me the truth, always fed me little scraps of
information to keep me in line.” He snorted in disgust, “Scraps of information
to go with scraps of food, no wonder I was malnourished when you found me.”
“You’re
still malnourished, you don’t eat enough, no matter how much I try to get you
to you don’t. You don’t eat the way you
should, it’s disgusting.” I sighed, “You can’t take care of yourself, you don’t
bathe unless I tell you to, you forget to eat.
Shogai, you need to learn to watch out for yourself.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I know you can physically but if you don’t
eat and don’t take care of your hygiene then you won’t be able to deal with
situations that arise, you’ll be too sick or too weak to do anything about
it. I don’t want to see that happen,
that’s why I took you in in the first place.”
He tore
an arm off the body, “I know master and that’s why I’m happy to be here but
sometimes I just don’t feel as though I belong. You saved me, yes, but is that really enough to make me fit
in? Kitsune despises me because I am a
wolf. Tsubasa, well, we all know what’s
on her mind. Kokkaku, now we don’t even
need to go into that one.”
I
interrupted him, “You’re right, we don’t.
Kokkaku can just stay out of this.
I think he’s still resentful after what I did to him; well I have one
thing to say to that, he should have stayed dead. I didn’t ask him to continue walking around; the little bastard
just wouldn’t stay down, now I must deal with him. Not that I really mind, he does an excet jot job.”
“I
wouldn’t know.” Shogai said as he examined the arm, sniffing at it.
I would
never understand why he did some things, but it was none of my concern, as long
as he did his job to the best of his abilities I had no complaints, “Come
upstairs and get something to eat, get cleaned up as well.” I said, starting up
the stairs, “Then come see me, I’m tired of seeing you in those rags.” I
frowned as I looked at his attire.
“As you
wish, master.” He whispered before I disappeared upstairs.
I rolled
my neck again; the sound of popping rang through my ears.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> My next stop was to check on Kokkaku; I
hadn’t gone to see him in quite awhile.
Perhaps he could pop my back for me, he was the equivalent of a
chiropractor before his untimely death, or at least that’s what he was good
at. I found him in the chamber where
all my equipment for torture and the like resided. He was a handsome man, I didn’t understand why he was down here,
consorting with my, less favorable, keeper.
“Kokkaku.”
I said calmly, looking over the creature before me.
retained his form, not a sign of decay sat on his flesh.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He seemed to be a vampire but he did not
have to feed, he just existed. He
looked over at me with flashing green eyes, “Yes master?style="mso-spacerun: yes"> What can I do for you?” He asked calmly, he
had learned his place well and I was pleased.
I smiled,
“Come upstairs with me, I have a request to make of you.”
He
scowled but followed after me, “I was just helping him.” He said softly, he
thought he had done something wrong.
“You
haven’t done anything wrong. What were
you helping him with?” I asked as we walked upstairs.
“He was
having minor decay problems, I was healing him.”
I stopped
and looked at him in shock, “You can heal?”
He nodded
meekly, “Sometimes.”
I smiled,
“You should have told me what you could do.”
He closed
his eyes and leaned against tall, all, “I just didn’t feel it was
important. I thought you had powers
that were similar.” He said softly.
“When did
you discover this ability?”
“Not too
long ago. I touched one of the zombies
and his flesh healed.”
I smiled,
“Come on, I still have to make that request.” I said calmly.
He opened
his eyes and together we finished scaling the stairs, “What is this request?”
“I
require a massage, I know before you died you had very talented hands and I
wish to utilize that skill.”
He
nodded, “As you wish.” He replied, “Where do you wish me to perform this task?”
“You make
it sound like some unsavory chore.” I laughed, “Is touching me such a horrible
thing?” I asked, making my way to the den, I wanted to lie on the soft fur of
the rug.
He shook
his head, “No, it’s just, I’m still not used to my situation.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> It’s been hundreds of years and I’m still
unaccustomed to belonging to you.”
“I see.”
I said with a smile, “I understand.” I said, opening the door and walking into
the fire lit den.
Without a
word I grabbed a bottle of oil I had stored near the fire to keep it warm.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I plopped it into his hand and sprawled
fa
face down, on the rug. If he was aware
of my attire, which was nothing, he made no sign of caring.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Pouring oil into his hands he went to work,
starting at my neck and working his way down.
He worked in slow circles, his hands were warm, his touch sent shivers
up my spine. There was something in the
way he worked, a relaxing quality in the way his hands moved.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> His touch made something inside me stir,
brought forth a spark that had remained dormant. It was an odd sensation but calming at the same time.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He worked the muscles in my shoulders,
pausing only to pour some more oil into his hands.
“You
should have had me do this sooner, your muscles are all in knots, you’re tense.”
He said as he continued to work. He
sighed, “It’s alright I suppose, at least you asked me now.”
I
chuckled softly, “You may have to do this more often then you think.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I never asked you because I thought you
would refuse.”
He shook
his head, “No, I wouldn’t. I had a
feeling that you would need this at some point, you’re always so stressed, have
so much to do. It’s no wonder you’re so
tense. You need to cut back.”
I nodded,
“I do but I can’t, it’s the price I pay for taking care of so many people.”
“Hush
now, let me work.” He said calmly.
I kept my
mouth shut as he continuis wis work on my back. I closed my eyes, relaxing into his touch.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He was quite good at this.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I would have to give Koshi and Nai the
pleasure of his massages at some point.
Finally I was asleep; I awoke when he stopped, whimpering softly.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He chuckled quietly.
“I’m
sorry master, but it’s done. I’ve
worked all the knots out of your entire body.”
I sighed,
“Keep going. Don’t stop now, I want to
have a little more.” I said calmly.
He
laughed softly and went to work, massaging my neck and working back down, “As
you wish.” He said softly.
An hour
passed before I told him he could stop, “Alright, that’s enough, thank you.” He
stood up and pulled me to my feet without asking if I needed help.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I blinked hard, “Why did you do that?” I
asked.
“You
don’t want to throw your back out of alignment, I just fixed it.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> You need to take it easy for awhile, don’t
overtax yourself.”
“Very
well. I will attempt to do so.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> There are things I need to do, a new vampire
to watch.” I sighed, “I have to go wake Koshi up, it’s almost time.”
Kokkaku
scowled, “Time for what?”
“Time for
Nai to finish his transformation.”
His eyes
grew wide, “What happened? Why did you
turn him?”
“He was
struck by a werewolf, I refused to allow him to be transformed into one of
them. I would rather have him as one of
us.”
He
sighed, “I understand.”
“Tell me
something, do you know why you are as you are?
Why you continued to live?” He looked away, “Kokkaku, if you know
something I suggest you tell me.”
“It was a
curse.” He said, looking out the window, “My family has lived with this curse
for hundreds of years. Should one of us
kill, should one of us take a life, when we die we will rise again, forced to remain
in our mortal forms.” He swallowed hard, “I killed a man, I had no choice, but
the curse left no room for self defense.
I saved my mother’s life but in return was cursed for an eternity.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I cannot atone, I can do nothing to die.” He
paused, “I, like you, will never die.”
I nodded,
“I understand.”
“I don’t
blame you for killing me, you had no choice.
I thank youugh ugh for taking me in after you discovered what happened
to me, after you found me alive. Well,
I’m not sure if I could reabe cbe considered alive though.” He sighed, sounding
almost tired, “I just grow weary of this life, this eternal existence.”
“I know
how you feel, don’t worry about that.
You’re fine and will continue to be so.
You do a wonderful job but now I desire you for something more.” I
walked behind him, laying a hand on his shoulder, “I want you to rejuvenate the
flesh of those creatures that need it, like you have been for him.” I said,
referring to my keeper.
He
nodded, “I can do that. Perhaps in
using my ability I can gain others as well.”
“Perhaps
so. You did a wonderful job, I feel a
lot better.”
“Good.”
He paused, “I used my ability on you.”
I raised
an eyebrow, “I felt it. It was an odd
sensation.” I said absently.
He
scowled, “Did you not like i/p>
/p>
“I could get
used to it. It wasn’t uncomfortable, it
didn’t hurt, it was just odd.” I squeezed his shoulder, “I have to be going, I
need to wake Koshi up so he can finish what he started.”
“I
understand, I’ll find something to eat.” He laughed, “Not that I really need to
eat.”
“Enjoy
your meal.” I said before leaving the room.
I went
through the halls, making my way towards my room. I walked in to find Koshi half off the bed, his oil slicked body
partially covered by a scarlet sheet of satin.
He was sprawled out on his sch, ch, one leg hanging over the edge of the
bed. I walked over to him and ran my
fingertips down his spine. He shuddered
slightly and arched into my touch, making a soft mew like a kitten.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> That sound seemed to fit him, was
submissive, perfect in it’s own right, especially uttered from my little
vampire. I wanted to hear it again but
had to wake him up, had to shatter the perfect picture before me.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I softly kissed his cheek and he stirred
slightly.
“Wake up
Koshi, it’s time.” I whispered, brushing my fingers through his hair.
He let
out a low groan and slowly opened his eyes, “Huh? Seiyoku? What’s going
on?”
I sighed
and shook my head, “It’s time for you to take care of Nai.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> The poor boy already woke up once, don’t
worry, I put him back to sleep. Go take
care of him, I need to speak with Jisshi and his sister.” Id, md, making sure
that he got out of bed.
He
groaned and went to the door, “When I’m done I’m going to need you to come get
me, I’m not doing too well right no/p>
/p>
I nodded,
“Alright, I’ll come get you as soon as I’m done speaking with the two demons.”
He
stumbled out of the room and downstairs while I went up.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I was worried about him but I couldn’t be
with him at all times, it just wasn’t possible. I made my way to a large sitting room upstairs; there I found the
two demons playing another game of chess.
I couldn’t understand their infatuation with the game; it had always
been rather boring to me.
“Jisshi,
Shiraha, how many times do I have to tell you, if you have something to do in
regards to your job then do it. Between
werewolves and humans I can’t be dealing with everything.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> There are other things I have to do, that’s
why I have the two of you. You’reppospposed to be paying attention to what’s going so I don’t have to worry about
my home being invaded. That was one of
the stipulations for allowing you to remain here.”
Jisshi
snarled and was about to say something when Shiraha silenced him with a wave of
hand, and, “I apologize master, Jisshi has no sense of courtesy. style="mso-spacerun: yes"> been negligent in our duties. I will
keep Jisshi in line and if I cannot I will send him back personally and request
someone else to assist me. If I behave
in that manner, I too will return.” She stated calmly, she was the more
diplomatic of the two, preferring to attempt to work things out before killing
people.
“I’m not
sure if I should allow you to get away with it this time.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I have been very accepting and forgiving, as
well as lenient.” I paused, “But I believe that one more chance is in order, I
shall take the human view of, three strikes you’re out.”
“Thank
you master.” She said, returning the pieces to their appointed places.
I nodded,
“Do not disappoint me Shiraha.” I growled before leaving them to go check on
Koshi and Nai.
I walked
into the room that we had placed Nai in the previous night.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He was holding Koshi against him, cradling
him in his arms. He looked up at me,
“Seiyoku.” He whispered, “He passed out.”
I sat
down beside him, quickly appraising the situation. Koshi had obviously finished Nai’s transformation but I couldn’t
understand what had happened, “Tell me exactly what happened.” I said, taking
Koshi from him.
“He said
he was finished and then fell over. He
looked so tired, so strained; I didn’t know what was wrong.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I pulled him up off the floor and held him
against me, then you came in.” He looked at me with wide eyes, “What’s wrong
with him?”
I brushed
Koshi’s hair out of his face, “Koshi.” I whispered, “Wake up.”
At the
sound of my voice his eyes snapped open and he clung to me, “Master.” He
groaned softly, “Please, I need it. I
held it off for too long. Please.”
I ran my
fingers through his hair, “Nai, rest, I’ll take care of Koshi.”
He nodded
and curled up on the bed. I kissed
Koshi softly and he hungrily devoured my mouth, pulling on my tongue.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I returned the fervor of his kiss, tasting
him deeply. I slid my hands down his
sides, spreading his thighs. His
erec jut jutted out proudly from it’s nesting of soft white hair.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> This was the only place besides his head
that had hair and it was feather soft.
Carefully I took him in hand and slowly began to stroke.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He squirmed slightly and moaned deep in his
throat. I rasped my tongue over the
head of his erection, tasting the drops of desire that leaked from the tip of
his turgid flesh.
“Ahhh!style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Seiyoku!” He cried softly, “More please!”
I
chuckled softly and took him down my throat before running my tongue over the
tip, circling the head. He grabbed my
head and pressed his hips up, wanting me to take him down my throat.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I did as requested, swallowing him
whole. I swallowed periodically as I
kept him lodged in my throat; the soft hair at the base of his erection tickled
my nose. I purred softly before
humming. When I pulled back up and ran
my tongue along the slit he let out a cry and came. I swallowed down his liquid desire before going up and kissing
him softly.
“Is that
better little one?” I asked, hugging him tightly. He nodded, “Good, why don’t you get some rest.” He said with a
sweet smile as I brushed my fingers through his hair.
He sighed
and curled up beside Nai, “Thank you.”
I nodded,
“I’m going to leave the two of you alone for the rest of the day, I’ll be back
later tonight.” I said before walking to the door.
Koshi
sighed and ran his fingers through Nai’s hair, “Don’t stay away like you did
last time.”
“I don’t
intend to. I’ll be back later tonight;
I have to get Nai’s first meal.”
Koshi
laughed so at at that, “I understand.”
I walked
out, not bothering to lock the door, they would be perfectly safe.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I had to go in search of someone for Nai to
feed from. I wished I had kept one of
the officers but that hadn’t happened.
I would have to take one of the locals.
First meals always needed to be alive, it was a necessary evil, and even
though I didn’t want any of us feeding from the living for a while this just
couldn’t be helped. I stopped off in
one of the rooms to get something to wear, I wasn’t going to run around outside
naked. I slipped on a pair of jeans and
an oversized black sweatshirt before pulling on a pair of tennis shoes.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> My hair was down and knotted.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I growled softly as I picked up a brush.
“Damn it
Koshi, why did you have to take my hair down?” I asked myself as I jerked the
brush through my hair.
I hadn’t
put it up since our encounter on the rug.
Once I had managed to get all the knots out I pulled it back and tied it
up. style="mso-spacerun: yes"> It didn’t take me too long but was
annoying. I had hoped that I could just
throw some clothes on and go. I would
have to tell Koshi that he couldn’t take my hair down anymore.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I walked outside, my hands buried in my
pockets. A cool wind blew in from the
west, basking the land in a chill of ice.
The air was the least of my concern, I didn’t care about the cold, it
wasn’t important. I stalked into town,
looking for a suitable meal for Nai.
The first feeding was always the worst; feelings of guilt, of fear were
dredged up. I knew I couldn’t get a
volunteer for this but I had to find someone to feed Nai’s cravings.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Darkness basked the land, making the wind
feel even cooler. I shuddered slightly,
feeling something suddenly wrong. I had
the urge to go back and check on my two vampires but I didn’t, I needed to find
something for Nai. As I continued on
that feeling continued to nag at me. I
grabbed the first person I saw and returned home. I ignored the struggles of the young man I had taken off the
street, I didn’t care. No one had seen
me so it didn’t matter.
“Stop
struggling boy.” I growled, pulling him inside, “You aren’t going to be alive
much longer so I suggest you begin to pray.” I stated, pulling him into the
room I had left them in. There was
something definitely wrong, I saw and felt Koshi but there was no one else,
“Koshi!” I growled, “Where’s Nai?”
He let
out a groan and opened his eyes, “Huh?”
“Where is
Nai?” I repeated.
He sat
upright in bed and looked around in a panic, “What? Where is he?”
“You didn’t
feel him get up?” I asked, completely aghast.
Koshi shook his head, “Damn it!” I threw the boy at Koshi, “Do with him
as you please, I’m going to find him.” I growled.
