Horns to Hold Her Halo

Lilith threw her tank top and shorts on before following Serge to the screens where Cyrus and Aleks sat. Cyrus look off his reading glasses and tossed them on the keyboard in front of him. Aleks just stared at the floor. 

     "What's the deal, you guys?" Lilith asked impatiently. 

Cyrus hit a button on the keyboard and pointed to the monitor directly in front of him. 

     "You're gonna want to see this Lil."

Lilith watched the screen. It was their last exorcism. They taped every one of them. She watched the screen closely looking for something out of the ordinary. Cyrus pushed another button and the frame froze. 

     "Did you see that?"

Lilith looked puzzled. 

     "All I saw was me holding a cross to that guy's head."

     "Look on the right side of the screen. Standing outside that window."

Cyrus hit the button again making the frame play once more. Lilith moved closer to the screen and squinted. Suddenly her eyes widened and she took a step back from the table. There, standing outside the window was Leviathan. 

     "You have got to be shitting me!" Lilith whispered to herself. 

Cyrus hit the button again and leaned back in his chair. 

     "I don't know what this means Lil, but it can't be good. Leviathan shouldn't be able to control demons let alone allow them to possess humans. I can't believe that your brother knows nothing about this."

Lilith had already made her way over to the living area. She put her hoodie on and slipped into her boots. She whistled for Cerberus and hooked his leash onto his collar. Cyrus had come up behind her as she began rummaging through the weapons closet. 

     "Serge, where the hell is the flame thrower!?" She shouted. 

     "Lil.....Don't do anything stupid. As I said, I don't know what any of this means. We don't want to jump to conclusions. We need time to figure this out."

Lilith grabbed a large black gun from the cabinet. She pushed passed Cryus and grabbed her bag off the table. 

     "I don't care Cy. My brother may be an ass but he's not an idiot. He's the prince of darkness for christ's sake!"

     "Just be careful Lil."

She nodded and ran out the door. She was getting to the bottom of this, one way or another.
