The visitor

A/N: Hey, it's me Kolgrim again, hehe, I felt like writing this chapter, so again I stole teeta's chance, she's busy with her main story and of course for selfish reasons I want her to focus on getting another chapter to that! *grins*

Chapter 7.

-The visitor-

Niko honestly couldn’t remember the last time he had been so happy, the weekend went by all too quickly; he wished to have more time to just lay in bed with Kamil, kissing and cuddling, having sex… Mondays were such a bore he thought when putting his things together for school, Kamil had left just a half an hour earlier and it was close to noon, Niko realised that he might be late soon, but he just couldn’t find his school book.

He always kept his things in order, but where had that dammed book gotten to? He checked under his bed, he checked under the table, he had checked his drawers already and his schoolbag, then he remembered showing something from it to Kamil on Saturday evening and went to check his room, where it was; under the bed. Niko grinned and picked it up.

Just then the doorbell rang, confused of who it could be, still carrying the book in his hands he went to open. He would never in a million years expect who he saw. The man stood there, dressed in his leather jacket, sunglasses covering his eyes, blond hair falling on his face, a crooked smile on his lips.

“Hello Niko,” he spoke and made him blink several times before slamming the door shut right in front of him.

A bit absently Niko strode back into his own room, it was obvious that during some course of the weekend he had gone a bit crazy for now he was hallucinating that his ex had just rung the doorbell and was now standing in front of his door, which would be ridiculous, as he was in Colorado, the USA and Roni was… some place else!

The doorbell rang again and Niko peeked out of his room, looking suspiciously at the door; then the knocking followed.

“Niko, would you please open the door?” Shit, Niko cursed, it was definitely Finnish and it was HIS voice, that bastard! Still quite not able to believe what he heard and what he had seen, Niko made his way to the door once more. Carefully he opened; he was still there in all his tallness and… Roni grinned at him. No one else would be silly enough to wear sun glassed in the middle of winter, Niko thought to himself.

“Are you going to let me in now?” He asked; Niko wanted to tell him to get lost, he wanted to… “I came all this way… look, I’m suffering from jetlag, I’ve been sitting on a plane for hours, slept my night in some god awful motel and… all this for you.”

Niko wanted to laugh, instead he kept staring at him; Roni lifted the sunglasses from his eyes, his icy blue eyes landing on his and the man used his surprise to let himself in.
“Niko…” his hand reached out to touch his face, Niko pulled away.
“Don’t touch me…” he hissed, feeling all hidden emotions rising to surface. “Why did you come?”
“Because I missed you, because I can’t get you out of my head… I can’t sleep…I…”
“Don’t lie!” Niko shouted, feeling angry.
“I’m not lying,” Roni spoke calmly, approaching him, which in return made Niko back away.

“You always lie,” he accused, “you left me… you just left! You left me in that bed and you…” Niko stomped his foot on the floor, he felt tears rising in his eyes and tried his best to keep himself from crying; he didn’t want Roni to see this…him… this weak.
“Niko, I’m sorry, I know I behaved like an idiot…”

Still feeling confused, Niko walked into the kitchen to get himself a glass of water, Roni followed him.

“Can you forgive me?” He asked and Niko gave almost a bitter laugh to his question, he shook his head as he poured himself some water from the fridge and took a sip before answering.
“Can I forgive you? You have no idea what you did to me, do you?” He asked looking at him, part of him still wondered if this was in fact just a dream, it wouldn’t be the first time after all. “I didn’t know where you went!” He screamed. “I didn’t know if you would come back …” Niko swallowed, he wasn’t prepared for this, he had had months to think about what he would say to Roni if he saw him, but now he was here and the words escaped him. “Why… why are you here?”

“Because I missed you, because I wanted to talk with you, I wanted to tell you that I’m sorry.”

“Sorry?” Niko asked unable to hide the bitter tone. He shook his head. “How did you find me?”

“You’re friend told me, Laura… I pressured her into telling…”

“Of course…” Niko still didn’t know what to think and he hated himself for feeling so dumb, for not finding the words he should have said to him.

“Niko, I’ve missed you… seeing you now… it’s so surreal and…” Roni approached him, “all I want to do now is to take you in my arms and hold you, never let go…”

“Don’t!” Niko stopped him, putting his hand on front, “don’t even try! You lost that right a long time ago.”

“I’m sorry, I still love you…” Niko turned his face away, the stupid tears… he couldn’t keep them away.

“If- if it’s true what you say, then why? Why, Roni?” He asked, looking at him again, the man took another step closer, thinking that maybe all was not lost.

“Because I got scared… I loved you, I saw that you loved me and it was beginning to get serious… talking about moving in together, suddenly I felt like I couldn’t breathe, I felt like I couldn’t keep my freedom, I didn’t know what to do so I left…”

Again Niko found himself laughing, bitterly, “Had you loved me, you would have never hurt me like that! You would have talked with me and I would have understood! I’m 20, just 19 then… I don’t know what will happen in the future! And it wasn’t like I wished to marry you! You can be free and still have someone!”

“Niko…” Roni close the distance and pulled him closer.

“Don’t fucking touch me!” Niko struggled in his hold, slapping his chest hard.

It made him let go.
“I hate you!”
“No you don’t,” the man shook his head. Niko narrowed his eyes at him. “You’re angry at me, and you have every right to be, but you don’t hate me.” He spoke calmly, rubbing his sore chest.
“You’re unable to hate.”

“Don’t be so sure… You don’t know me as well as you claim!” Niko’s eyes flashed in anger. “I slept with your friend,” Niko smiled coldly.

“What?”

“I slept with Mika, he invited me over, you had left two months earlier and he finally told me that you had actually gone to travel, travel and take pictures he said, he offered me wine I drank it and later he took me to his bed and I told him to fuck me. He was more than happy to, I believe it was what he had in mind all along.”

“That son of a …” Roni started,

“I’m not so innocent anymore, for a long time you were the only man for me, you left and I changed…you changed me,” Roni sighed, ran his fingers through his hair and just looked at him for a moment, quietly. He undressed his coat, placed it on the backrest of the chair and shook his head.

“You’re still you…” Roni said slowly, “I know you, I’m truly sorry to have caused you such pain, I had no right and believe me I have beaten myself up for it…” Niko swallowed under his heavy stare, Roni had always been handsome, his strong arms, tanned skin, those icy blue eyes… his voice… And when the man took another attempt to approach him, Niko found his body trembling, it was easy to lose himself, it was easy to surrender to the past feelings and memories…

“I love you… You’re smart… funny… and now… I see that you’ve grown, I see that … though part of it is lost, it’s still there, I see it in your eyes, dying to get out, that certain sweetness and innocence…” Roni’s hand brushed his face gently, “the certain innocent beliefs…love…” For a moment their eyes met and all Niko could do was to blink, he remembered all of his feelings from before… he remembered how it had been like with Roni…how his touch had felt. “You have such pretty eyes, I’ve never seen anything like yours, especially now, they’re so bright green, amazing…” Roni murmured, smiling softly when he leaned closer in order to kiss him Niko was finally able to snap from his memories, in to reality.
“You have a lot of nerve,” Niko hissed angrily once again pulling away.

“Don’t expect me to blindly believe you! It’s always about you, what you want what you need, you think that you can leave like that and then just return like you never even left! Well fuck you Roni!”
With Niko’s back turned against him Roni shook his head with a smirk on his face, of course he had expected him to be angry, but he was sure that given enough time, he could still change that.

By late afternoon Niko was feeling utterly exhausted, after all the shouting after all the crying after letting it all out; the hurt, the pain…

“Niko, please,” Roni was sitting in front of the kitchen table and Niko could feel his stare on his back. He took the kettle to boil some water for tea.

“I can’t,” he repeated the words he had already used many times during that one day. He heard as Roni got up and walked behind him, wrapping his arms around him.

"I love you," He whispered, and the words left him both confused and tired; it had to be a lie.

"No," Niko shook his head.

"I love you," Roni repeated, turning him around forcefully, making him look at him. "I want you, Niko! I want you so badly, can’t you feel it?” he brought his lips on his and weakly Niko tried to resist him, some part, a part that had loved him and a part that still did, part that had waited for him for months, hoping that one day he would return; wanted to surrender, wanted to be his. But the other part, part that was growing above the previous, knew where his heart truly laid and it was with Kamil, and this made him want Roni off of him more badly than wanting his kiss. But Roni was bigger, stronger and easily he lifted him up, carried him over to the kitchen table on which he lowered him down, resuming the kiss.
"I've missed you, I want you… You’ve the best I ever had… I’ll never leave again… I want to take you back home…" Roni murmured against his skin, his arousal clear as he nudged closer. "Forgive me, I was truly a fool for leaving Nikolas, but I'm here now... please... my love..."

Something was missing from the kisses; something that used to be there was no longer. Niko brought his hands on Roni’s shoulders.

“No,” he breathed out, but Roni was quick to catch his lips once more, seeming headstrong with his intention of convincing him that this was what he wanted and needed… But Niko’s thoughts were now with Kamil and this felt wrong, like he was cheating and he didn’t want it, but it also felt difficult to push Roni away, when he remembered, when part of him still wanted it… It was beyond confusing.

**^^**^^**

Monday’s school day was finally over for Kamil and he could get home with some shopping, to prepare Niko some dinner for the next day; it was the infernal Tuesday tomorrow, the day which he cursed to hell for being so long and filled with school and work.

When opening the door and taking his shoes and jacket off, he spotted the light coming from the kitchen. Maybe Niko was drinking tea? Maybe he was just sitting and drawing something? Or eating cucumbers again? He smirked at the last thought; he was going to find out soon. His feet didn’t make much noise on the floor and when he got inside he almost dropped the bag with the shopping on the floor at the sight that welcomed him; Niko sitting on the table, with some guy kissing him like there was no tomorrow! He narrowed his eyes; two voices were screaming in his head, one demanding to throw the guy away from Niko, he had NO RIGHT! The other, a bit more careful and quieter, told him to remain calm because however he looked at it, it didn’t look as if Niko was forced…

He took a deep breath, not wanting to start yelling at Niko, feeling like he had no right, either, there were no promises made between them… But he couldn’t say that it wouldn’t have hurt, because it did. Who was this guy? It seemed strange that Niko would have brought this guy into their flat to… Kamil shook his head, they still didn’t notice him and he needed to do something… and it couldn’t be yelling, couldn’t be fuming or packing a punch into the guy’s face. He simply cleared his throat and waited what would happen.

Niko felt his heart jump at the sound that finally made Roni pull away and when he saw Kamil watching them he was sure that he was screwed because he knew just how bad it must have looked like.

“Kamil,” he breathed out, wanting to say something that would correct things, he tried to interpret the look in the other’s eyes, sensing the slight hurt in them, though other than that, Kamil wasn’t easy to read at all, was he mad? Niko couldn’t tell. He wanted to get up from the table, but Roni’s bigger body stopped him, not seeming the least bit intended to move.

"May we help you?" Roni simply asked, while Niko tried to push his shoulders to make him realise that he wanted up.

"Yes, you may help me by letting Niko go, the table is not for sitting on," Kamil turned away, steaming inside and to keep himself from murdering the guy on the spot he started taking the shopping out of his bag and putting them into the fridge, not saying anything.

Roni finally allowed him move and Niko slid from the table onto the floor; he felt the tension and it became clear to him that Kamil was mad, it was just his way, he was trying to hide it, he wasn’t the one to easily show his feelings, but it would have been foolish for Niko to think that he wasn’t at all angry or hurt for that matter.

"Kamil..." he started uncertainly. Almost hoping that Kamil would rather yell than be this quiet, “it’s not how it looked like,” he whispered, standing close to his friend, but keeping himself from touching him, sure that it wouldn’t be what Kamil needed right then.

“Niko,” Roni called, standing now at the kitchen doorway, “mennään sun huoneeseen, jutellaan lisää?”

Niko decided to ignore him, he was more focused on getting some kind of reaction from Kamil.

And Kamil turned, his eyes narrowed slightly when he heard the foreign speech, obviously Finnish.
“So what is it?” He asked calmly, “It looked like a very intimate kiss to me,” he whispered.

Niko glanced at Roni who was still waiting for him to follow, looking impatient, his arms folded against his chest. Niko hoped that he would have never showed up, he only complicated things that had been fine before, things that had made him happy.

"I wasn't expecting him, I didn’t invite him, he just came here and..."

"Who is he?" Kamil asked him, a bit calmer now, just a bit. "Why did he come here?" Then he cast a look at the newcomer and decided that it wasn’t a conversation to be conducted in front of strangers. He took Niko by his hand and took him out of the kitchen, muttering "We'll be back in a moment," to the guy.

In the hall he whispered again. "What ... what is he doing here?"

Niko regretted now, that he hadn’t told about Roni earlier, it might make it easier now.

"He's... he was my boyfriend..." Niko swallowed, "Was...” he decided to emphasise. “And he... I don't know... it's all so confusing."

He sighed, feeling frustrated by everything, “I’m truly sorry you had to see that.”

The touch of Niko’s hand became so natural by now that Kamil didn’t even react to it.

“What are you…” the hesitation in Niko’s voice made him realise that he was still not over him. Should he move away and let him come back to someone who – apparently – was important to him.
“What are you going to do? About him?”

“He’s staying here… I-I don’t…He’s staying at some hotel and he said he wants to see me, it’s been complicated…I don’t know what to do,” he said honestly. He wanted Roni to leave and at the same time he wanted answers to finally get some kind of closure to their relationship, “I just want answers,” he told Kamil.

“Answers,” Kamil muttered. Answers like what? “So is he staying at a hotel or – for some reason – here?” He looked at Niko once more. The thoughts in his head had become so confused that for the first time in his life he just wanted to forget about everything. They didn’t have sofa in their flat, so if the guy stayed, it’s either sleeping on the floor or…

"He wants to stay here, but I've been trying to tell him that he can't… I told him to go back to his hotel..." Niko started rubbing Kamil’s arm. "Kamil, I... This is all very... I'm really sorry about him, I didn't know."

"What's his name? Maybe I can talk to him, he understands English, yes?" Kamil rubbed his temples and blinked.

"Yes, he understands..." Niko nodded, "his name is Roni."

"Roni?" Kamil narrowed his eyes again. "The ... the wee bit drunk Roni?" He asked, frowning now. The drunk idiot who called on Friday? Niko drew his hand away, not understanding.

"What are you talking about?" He frowned.

"There was this idiot ... calling you on Friday and I ... picked the phone because he was quite persistent ... and he was drunk, babbling something about babies and you being gay and ..." Kamil frowned. "I didn't tell you because I thought that's someone ... like Matt, wanting only ..."

"O-oh," Niko started. "That's..." Niko couldn’t help but to think that it was cute, Kamil had wanted to protect him, spare him from having to… “It’s been months, I really wasn’t expecting him to…try and come back into my life.”

"So ..." Somehow Kamil felt calmer now, as if something was lifted from his shoulders. The fear that Niko might want ... But he had said that he wasn't expecting Roni, and that it had been months. "Is he staying here? Or going back to the hotel?"

"He said...his hotel room is horrible and...Asked if he could... stay here," Niko almost whispered, feeling ashamed to have caused all this trouble to Kamil… And at the same time, like Roni said, he had travelled across the ocean for him and though he wanted to be cold and indifferent, he couldn’t find it within himself. "Maybe… just for the night?"

"And where is he going to sleep? In the bath tub?" Kamil immediately found a reason not to let him stay there; a red alarm wailed in his head for even thinking that he could stay. "We have only two beds ..." Well; it wasn’t as if his bed was used a lot lately...

"I could sleep in your room?" Niko suggested carefully. "He might get the hint if..." Niko felt bad, he knew he was asking a lot from Kamil, he had just seen him and Roni kissing and now he was asking him to allow him to stay, for reasons he couldn’t quite understand either.

For a short moment Kamil thought about it and Niko seemed to be right; this would show Roni that he was the third wheel, stepping between him and Niko. Maybe – like Niko was saying – he would get the hint?

“Oh… well, my bed is big enough for the two of us,” he nodded.

“Thank you,” Niko smiled, leaned closer and gave him a small hesitant kiss on his lips, not sure if it would be welcomed by Kamil. "Now, how about some tea? And I’ll tell him the news."

"OK, tea sounds ... good," Kamil answer him, tiredness in his voice and he followed Niko into the kitchen where their unexpected and not really awaited guest was waiting for them.

Roni smiled at Niko when seeing him.

“No?” He asked in Finnish.

“Voit jäädä, mutta vain toistaiseksi.” Niko answered, going back to continue preparing the tea, which he had been interrupted earlier. It felt uncomfortable for him, to have both Roni and Kamil in the same room.

Roni stood up, drifting his gaze from Niko to the other boy, almost the same height as him, but not quite. He sensed a rival in him and curious, he looked at him, as if measuring chances against him. The brunet was cute in this smart kind of way, okay Roni could admit that he was rather handsome in fact, but still, vain as he was, he considered himself more handsome and as Niko was considered, he knew his weaknesses, he had know Niko for longer, he had been his first and… The first was always the one you could never forget, right?

“I believe I should introduce myself, I’m Roni Jenssen,” he offerd his hand, “was it you that I talked on the phone earlier with?” He grinned.

Kamil hesitated about shaking his hand, feeling instinctive … hatred? No, it wasn’t it, something weaker but akin to hatred; no matter how nice this guy was acting now, he wasn’t able to smile at him and pretend that he hadn’t seen him kiss Niko. Keeping his face serious and looking straight into his eyes - and purposefully ignoring his stretched hand – he answered his question.

"Yes, I picked up the phone. I wasn't expecting that you suddenly ... choose to appear on our doorstep."’

Roni lowered his hand and nodded, feeling somewhat amused after being confirmed that yes; it was definitely competition. And he guessed that this was what Niko had tried to tell him earlier as well. As Niko moved past him, getting the tea cups, he allowed his hand to brush his rear and when Niko looked at him with wide eyes and then something likeness of anger all he did was to grin.

"Well, I just realised how much I missed Nikolas... I had to see him."

"You realize it's not really polite, groping someone's butt, especially without permission," Kamil pointed out to him, hoping Niko would say something along the same lines.

Niko felt uncomfortable with it all, Roni was an idiot, a groping idiot and he didn’t need to do that in front of Kamil, if at all!

“I don’t want you to touch me like that; I remember clearly saying it before,” Niko confirmed, fixing the tea cups for them both; tea with lemon for Kamil and milk and sugar for Roni and… lemon tea for himself as well, he definitely liked his tea better like this now.

“Sorry, Niko,” Roni replied, without really feeling sorry, he took the tea cup and smiled at his ex-boyfriend.

Kamil felt oddly glad that Niko had told Roni not to do it.

"Thank you," he said when Niko gave him his tea.

"So, where do I get to sleep?" Roni asked then, looking at Niko. "Next to you?" He grinned, knowing it would annoy them both. Sure enough, Kamil’s smile disappeared momentarily.

"You're sleeping in Niko's room, Niko's sleeping with me."

"Hm, yes, I'll be sleeping with Kamil," Niko confirmed with a nod, wanting to show Roni that he had in fact moved on, that he could, that his world had not ended the day he had left.

Roni nodded, he didn’t like it, but he couldn’t do anything about it either. He wanted to get Niko back home with him, almost positive that he could if only he got as much alone time with him as possible.

For a moment Kamil could see the sour expression in Roni’s face which he recognised as jealousy. At the same time he fought not to smirk triumphantly; that was the first moment since he had come home and felt good about something

Niko sat next to Kamil; looking between the pair it became obvious to him that these two would never call themselves friends.

“Is anyone hungry?” He asked, wanting to break the heavy tension that seemed to have landed over the room. "Yoghurt? Err, cucumbers? Hm... sandwiches?" He asked them. Roni stated to laugh. "What? Still obsessed with cucumbers and mustard, are you?" He asked making Niko blush.

"It's good," he muttered, no one seemed to understand his favourite treat.

"Suuure it is," Roni grinned, and leaned to ruffle his hair which Niko immediately tried to fix. "Älä sotke," he frowned at him, but Roni simply continued to smirk at him.

Kamil narrowed his eyes, ok, so this Roni knew about Niko’s obsession with cucumbers? Big deal, he knew about it, too. And he could bet that he didn’t know the things he did… For a moment he thought of it; why would it matter to him if he knew things about Niko or not? He decided to help Niko against the stupid remarks Roni was making.

"Well, there's nothing wrong with cucumbers, and they taste well with honey ..."

Niko looked at Kamil, smiling happily.

“Yes they do,” he nodded, “see? It’s not just me being crazy.” He pointed out to Roni. Then he went to the fridge, took two small cucumbers, washed and peeled them, gave one to Kamil without asking and started dipping his in honey. “En anna sulle, koska oot tollanen hegepelle, etkä ymmärrä hyvän päälle.” He told Roni before savouring the cucumber in his mouth, sucking the honey from it, before dipping it in again.

“Hegepelle?” Roni repeated with amusement, his eyes fixed on Niko’s lips, he wondered if he had any idea of the images that he created with sucking the cucumber the way that he did.
“Niin, se on kivempi versio idiootille.”

Kamil blinked in confusion, without having idea of what was being said, but he did notice the way Roni was watching Niko as he… ate. For a moment Kamil felt the urge to tell Niko to stop sucking the freaking cucumber and rather take a bite from it, but he couldn’t and it actually occurred to him, watching how focused Niko was on just licking the sweetness, not looking at either of them, that he was doing that more to cover his nervousness, more subconsciously that aware of putting on any kind of show for them. Kamil dipped his cucumber in honey as well and then took a bite. Ok, he had eaten stranger food and this was actually not so bad.

Niko caught Roni staring at him and only then realised what he had been doing, feeling angry at the lust in Roni’s eyes, he looked straight back at him and took a great big bite of the vegetable. Ha! It would surely be the same that would happen to Roni’s penis if he ever again dared to try… He noticed the man’s face going a bit pale and smiled with satisfaction.

“So…” Kamil started, the scene had not gone unnoticed by him either and it almost made him want to laugh, but he managed to hold it in. “How was it today?” He asked looking at Niko, it felt strange to talk with him while Roni was there; it was as if he was a barrier between Niko and him.

"My day?" Niko glanced at Roni, "it was er... different." He decided and looked back at Kamil. "And yours? How was school?" He asked in return trying to ignore his ex.

"So, you two, you're what? Dating? Living together and... " Roni interrupted, taking a sip of his tea.

Kamil gave Roni a rather cold look; it wasn’t his business what they were to each other. A small voice in him insisted on him thinking of this question though. Who were they? Flatmates? Friends? Lovers? No promises were made… Who were they? He wriggled a bit on his chair, giving Niko an uncertain look.

"We're ... together ..."

Niko would have liked to answer that Kamil was his new boyfriend, but was uncertain if he had the right to call him as such, after all they hadn’t really talked about it. He felt relieved when Kamil finally answered and smiled.

"Yes, we're together," he confirmed.

“I see," Roni answered slowly and Kamil couldn’t help but to throw him once again a triumphant look and he didn’t understand why it was so important for him to have Niko agreeing with him. Neither did he understand why he was suddenly so … glad he had agreed with him. They were friends, right? Friends were happy together… Or was he… Kamil yawned suddenly.

"God, this was a long day, I'm tired, and tomorrow ..." Well, Niko knew pretty well how busy he was on Tuesdays.

"You know what? I'm actually quite tired as well, so, sleepy time for us... Hm, Roni, I.... I just change you fresh sheets for my bed. So you can go to sleep too, or, you can use my computer if you like."

"I don’t mind sleeping in your sheets Niko, having been inside you once or more times, sleeping in the same sheets is not a problem.”

Niko couldn’t believe that the bastard said it! He blushed feverishly, lost with what to say.

"Which was a long time ago," Kamil responded coldly, "and it's not really kind, to embarrass your own host who lets you sleep in bed while you should sleep on the floor."

"I'm sorry Niko, really am, I don’t always think things through before I say them and your ...friend is right… I did not mean to embarrass you. And I owe you both an apology.” Roni sounded sincere.

"It's alright," Niko muttered "I'm still changing the sheets." He continued, standing up. But still, he felt angry at Roni, sure that he had intended to make him embarrassed and to make Kamil so.

“Me ollaan pantu Kamilin kanssa sillä sängyllä ja niissä lakanoissa, oon aika varma, että haluat mun vaihtavan ne. Itse asiassa, me pantiin juuri tänä aamuna.” Niko decided to tell him, smiling as he saw the look of jealousy on Roni’s face. “Kamil on paras rakastaja, joka mulla on koskaan ollut ja... sillä on isompi kuin sulla!” He decided to add and it made Roni’s mouth open is shock just as he guessed it would, he turned then, happily humming to himself as he strode into his room.

Kamil wondered what Niko had told Roni, feeling deadly curious about it, what ever it was it didn’t seem that Roni liked it. The man cleared his throat.

“I really do appreciate this, Kamil,” he was looking at him oddly, down to his…Roni quickly lifted his gaze back up.... “for letting me spend the night, really kind…”

Kamil raised his eyebrow and nodded. He didn’t like Roni, no matter what he would do, he wouldn’t like him, his opinion wasn’t easy to change. And Kamil wasn’t going to leave him alone with Niko either, so he followed Niko to his room, to stay there while he would change the sheets.

Roni sat down in front of the desk, he felt annoyed now, Niko’s words repeating themselves in his mind, it could not be true! It just couldn’t!

“So, Kamil, what do you study?” He asked now really wanting to find faults in him.

"Economy," Kamil told him carelessly. "And what do you do?" If he did anything, he wouldn't be able to travel here, and so fast, too, Kamil thought to himself.

"I'm a freelance photographer," Roni grinned thinking that this was definitely more interesting than some stupid economy studies. "It's very liberating, I go where I want, do what I want, meet different people, see different places." He continued looking at Niko, he became more certain that his ex was just teasing him, wanting to hurt him because he had hurt him first. "Do you remember the day we met Niko?" He asked.

"Yes, I remember," Niko answered trying his best to sound bored.
"It was early May then, Niko's birthday, sweet 17," Roni kept smiling, using his dreamy voice. “He was out celebrating, at this place on the sea side, where... well, the name is not important. Anyway, I was there taking pictures and I saw him; he was walking along the shore line, smiling, alone at the moment, his friends little farther away. And I remember watching him; there was this moment, evening, the last light of the sun, making the air around him glimmer, and bring sparks of gold in his hair... There was this peaceful smile on his lips and to me he looked like an angel fallen from the heaven, such a sight I could not help but to take a picture." Roni sighed dreamily. "He saw me, walked up to me, and... well, the rest is history... I carry the pictures with me where ever I go, one of the prettiest pictures I have ever taken. It's art, he's art."

‘Then why did you leave him, Mr. Art?’ Kamil asked him in his thoughts, but kept silent, “Hmmm…” He noticed that Niko had finished changing the sheets. "I'm sure you're pretty tired, and so are we, so ..." he let his voice linger.

Niko did remember that evening more than well, it was one of those days, like a beautiful dream and Roni spoke of it like it had meant a lot to him as well, which he began doubt after Roni had left. But he also made it sound so… sugary… almost to the point that made him feel nauseous... and it was hard for Niko to believe a word that came out of the man’s mouth.

“I’ll bring you one of these pictures, Kamil, I’m sure you would love it, let it be my thank you for your hospitality.”

"I'm sure it'll be nice," Kamil still kept his voice purposefully flat. "Good night," he took Niko’s hand and pulled him out of the room and into his. When finally there, he sat on his bed.

"I can't stand him," he admitted honestly to Niko. And in his head, he added, ‘How could you even kiss him? It's obvious he's dishonest, this art talk, this ... behaviour, and embarrassing remarks.’

"I can't say that I'm surprised" Niko said, pulling his off his t-shirt, "He's..." Niko tried to find the words that would feel right. “I was very young and naive when I met him, which made it easier to believe his words…He has his moments, he can be quite charming... I guess if I’m honest, I first fell for his looks.” Kamil nodded and started to undress.

“What did you tell him, in the kitchen?” he asked after gotten rid of his shirt. Niko blushed slightly,

“I couldn’t help myself…” He told Kamil a little shyly. “…I told him…that you and I had... fucked on that bed, just this morning and…” he blushed even more, he wasn’t sure what Kamil would think. “I told him that you’re the greatest lover I’ve ever had and that…” He bit his lip. “…yours is…bigger… and… it’s true, I meant it…I hope you’re not angry with me…” he muttered.

Kamil blushed as well, he had no idea… he couldn’t say that it wouldn’t have felt good on his ego, that it wouldn’t have felt great in fact, but it also made him slightly embarrassed. “No, not angry, definitely not angry,” he grinned, feeling himself still red on his face. Niko smiled, made his way closer and sat on his lap.

“You’re cute when you blush,” he whispered. It only made him blush more, he cleared his throat.

“You’re too,” he nodded, and Niko leaned closer to kiss him on his cheek; at least he knew just how to make him feel better.

"I'm tired, Niko, let’s just go to sleep, tomorrow it's this hellish Tuesday ... and I know he's your friend but ..." Kamil gritted his teeth, remembering the kiss once more. "I just hope he'll return where he came from." He touched Niko’s cheek softly.

"I'm sorry about this, I hope he leaves soon as well, I’m sure he will." Niko whispered. "I'll rub your feet tomorrow after your long day, how about that?"
"Trying to bribe me?" Kamil grinned slightly, "It works," he told him as he - for the first time on that evening - kissed him on his lips.

"I'm glad," Niko smiled, feeling as if something heavy was lifted from his shoulders, he rubbed Kamil’s back slowly before lifting himself from his lap.

"And now, Mr. Kettunnen, time to go to sleep," Kamil announced half jokingly as he got up to take out his bedsheets and arranged them on the bed. "After you," he pointed. Niko quickly stripped himself from his jeans and jumped on the bed waiting Kamil to join him, when he did; he arranged the cover on the both and kissed his cheek.

"Good night Kamil, sleep tight," he whispered trying his best to forget about his ex in the next room.

"Good night, Niko," Kamil rounded him with his arm, it felt right, just to have Niko close to him like this. He really hoped that Roni would be gone by tomorrow evening, so everything could go back to normal.
