PART 2

“Please people make way. We need to get by.” The doctor screamed. They pushed Theresa on the gurney pass security guards and patients. Theresa stood on that gurney with dry blood on the sheets, which came from her head. David wasn’t far behind and with him was her parents.
“You come in here young man. You have to stay out here with her parents.” The man doctor instructed David and closed the door behind him. David stood at the door and cried. If she died then he knew that he would die as well.
“Come have a seat honey.” Theresa’s mom Patricia told David. He looked at her and smiled. He took a seat on the chair outside the room and waited.

“We’re here to see my friend Theresa Thompson.” Brian told the receptionist. Brian had arrived with Liam. Brian and Liam were walking to Starbucks when Brian received the call from David.
“Calm down David. She’ll be okay. I’ll be there in a few minuets.”
The lady looked through some paper work and she instructed them to the third floor. Brian thanked her and made his way to the elevator. As he waited for the elevator to arrive he recalled the day that they told him his mother died in a fire. He froze for a couple of minutes before he broke down.
“She’ll be okay Brian.” Liam told him. Brian didn’t even look at Liam. He stared at the elevator door and just waited.

“I need to know if she is okay damn it.” David screamed at nurse.
“Listen we don’t know anything yet. Her fall was bad and her pulse is weak. If you didn’t give her CPR while you waited she would be dead right now. Just sit and I’ll let you know something when I know something.” The nurse walked away from David and made her way into the room where Theresa laid fighting for her life.
“She’ll be okay man. Just calm down and breathe.” Carl told him. Carl sat down and pulled on David to sit. Theresa’s father Denzel sat on the other chair and cried. He had been crying the whole time. His eyes were now blood shot red. David looked over at him. David got up and made his way to the chair next to her father.
“She’ll be okay mister Thompson.” David assured him and put his arm around him.

“Thank you for coming with me.” Amanda told Jordan. They were both leaving from work so Jordan thought that he would keep her company.
“It’s no problem at all. We are friends now.” Jordan smiled at her and she felt her heart melt. They made their way up to the third floor. Brian had called her and told her where to go.
“Thank God you made it.” Brian greeted Amanda as she stepped off the elevator. As soon as she saw everyone there she began to cry. Brian put his arm around her and held her.
“Why Brian? Why Theresa?” Brian didn’t have an answer for her. So he just held her.

“Is there any word yet?” Theresa’s mom asked them as she came back from the cafeteria. They all just looked at her. “I guess not.” She sat down next to her husband and held his hand tight.
“So Liam how is the group working out for you?” Carl asked him.
“Well it’s working pretty good. But the one that keeps me grounded is Brian. He is such a good friend to me and I appreciate it a lot.” Liam looked over at Brian who stood there crying.
“Amanda tell him that you like him.” Kimberly told her as they walked to get something to drink.
“Not yet you fool. We don’t even know each other that well.” Amanda put her money in the vending machine and pushed for a Coke.
“Well he’s coming over here right now so I’ll leave you alone. Good luck.” Kimberly patted her on the shoulder and walked pass Jordan and smiled.
“She is a little creepy.” Jordan told Amanda. Amanda smiled but a half smile. “Do you need someone to talk to? Cause I’m here for you.” Jordan looked at her. Tears began to fall down her face. She had now lost it.
“Come here.” Jordan put his arms around her and she felt safe. She felt his heart beat against her chest. She pulled away from him and looked deep into his eyes. He looked back deep into hers. Jordan slowly leaned in and his soft lips met hers. She pulled away.
“I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to kiss you like that. Maybe we should go back to…” Before he could finish Amanda put her lips back on his and the slowly kissed.

The doctor made his way out the room. He stood there and stared at everyone in the waiting room. “I have some news to share with you all….

“We are all here to bid a farewell to Theresa Thompson. She was full of life. She was a very loyal friend and loving daughter.” The man said. Her family and friends were all there. Watching as they lowered her coffin into the ground. David fell to the floor and cried. He had lost the love of his life.
