Things are getting hot
Kristian propped himself up on his arms above Brett so he didn't smash her. Things kept colliding with the walls around them, so he kept most of his body over hers. Brett turned under him so she could look at him. The air around them suddenly warmed. The heat around them made it almost too hard to breathe. Brett opened her mouth to say something but Kristian lowered himself down and pressed his lips to hers with enough force that she whimpered against his lips. Then it was just them. They couldn't hear the sounds of the walls and ceiling crumbling around them, or the howl of the phantom wind. All they knew was each other. And it was about the only thing that mattered in that moment.
Their clothes were lost in a rush that neither remembered. One second they were in clothes, the next they weren't. Brett couldn't remember when they had come off. She was losing seconds and she really didn't care. The faster their clothes came off the better. Brett ran her hands up Kristian's body, her lips finding his. They ate at each other's mouths, as if they were drinking each other down. And it was exactly what they were doing. With every touch Brett took from Kristian, his energy was pouring into her, making her stronger. In return, the power that had been fed to Kristian through Brett moments earlier was sparking to life inside of him. Brett bit down on his lip causing him to moan as he used his legs to spread her's farther apart.
Downstairs, Faye and Jacob were running around, dodging the ceiling that was trying to come down on top of them. Faye clung to Jacob as they made their way towards the stairs. Moments before they had heard screams but now they had silenced. Neither didn't know excactly what was going on, but Jacob knew that it wasn't any power of Mathayus'. He had felt it too much in his life to mistake it. Faye let out a small yelp as some of the ceiling came crashing down on top of her.
"Faye!" Jacob yelled, reaching down and getting the pieces off her. He quickly brought her back to her feet, put his arm around her, and kept moving down the hallway. The reached the stairs and started to climb them. They rocked back and forth between the rail and the wall as the whole house shook violently. Behind them, Jacob heard cabinets falling over, dishes breaking as they met with the floor. He had a moment to wonder if anyone else on the street was having as much trouble as they were. But he really didn't care about them right now. Kristian and Brett were upstairs, probably in need of their help.
They hit the small landing before the stairs took a curve and started again. They were almost there, almost. Faye and Jacob were running up the stairs as best they could without falling. When they made it to the top of the stairs, they ran into an invisible force that threw them back down the stairs. They rolled over each other until they wound up back on the landing.
"Faye, you alright?" Jacob yelled above the noises coming from within the house. She nodded frantically, but there was a cut above her left eye and it had started to bleed. Once again, he helped her to her feet, as well as himself. This time, they went up the stairs alot slower. They stopped right before the end of the stairs. Jacob's eyes immediately fell to Kristian and Brett on the floor.
Kristian had one arm wrapped around Brett and was driving himself into her as hard and as fast as he could. There was an orange glow coming from Kristian and was enveloping Brett. Brett had her arms and legs around Kristian so that he was supporting all his weight on his one arm. Which wasn't a very big deal to him. He could lift a car one handed, how hard was it to hold up one girl? Brett's tongue was working furiously in Kristian's mouth, tasting every part of it. Neither of them had noticed the orange glow. They just didn't care.
"Jacob!" Faye screamed, grabbing his arm. It was only then that he turned his eyes away from the pair on the floor. He looked where Faye was and instinctively put himself between her and the man standing at the other end of the hallway. He looked to be about six feet, wearing black pants, a deep purple shirt with a black trench coat over it. The purple of his shirt made the silver of his hair stand out. His hair reached his waist and his bangs touched the bottom of his chin. Even from where he was standing, Jacob could see that he was pale white with aqua colored eyes. If the house around them wasn't threating to collapse that very second, Jacob might have thought he was attractive. The man had a smile on his face and started walking towards them. Jacob pressed himself against Faye, making sure that she was out of the way. He let out a warning growl towards the man.
The crumbling ceiling started to slow as he walked. No, not slow. Freeze in place. By the time he reached Faye and Jacob, the ceiling and walls around them had just frozen in place. Pieces were hanging in mid air, walls stopped in the middle of splitting.
"What are you doing here?" Jacob asked aggresively. The man's smile changed into a grin.
"I am here to help you, all of you." He said, motioning with his head towards Brett and Kristian. Jacob's eyes found them again, but this time, Brett had also started to glow. The red of her glow mixed with the orange of Kristian. It was breathtaking to watch. The light played off the other, as if they were doing an elaborate dance for their entertainment. Jacob couldn't help but want to be in the middle of them. He wanted to feel both of their bodies pressed against his, naked and being caressed by their hands. The image and desire was so strong that he had to turn away from them.
"Do not be afraid of what it is that you want." The man told him. "It is part of who you are. The four of you have a destiny to complete. Feeling like you do is another step on that destiny." Jacob just looked at him. He could faintly feel Faye still standing behind him. He could smell how afraid she was, and confused. The fear in her made his stomach tighten and a desire washed over him fast enough that he spun around and grabbed her throat. He picked her up and shoved her against the nearest wall. Faye wrapped her legs around him to have some leverage to keep him from choking her. Although now he could just crush her throat. Jacob leaned forward and buried his head in her hair and breathed along her neck. He gently bit down her neck until he came to the big pulse just below the flesh of her neck. He took as much of her skin into his mouth as he could, savoring the feel of her pulse against his tounge. He wanted nothing more than to bite down, to feel the blood run into his mouth like some exotic candy.
Faye did the only thing that she could think of. She started purring, and loudly. The sound vibrated in her throat, and in Jacob's mouth. The feel of her purring made him let go of her some what. He still had her flesh in his mouth, but not as much, and he wasn't biting down so hard. Slowly he lowered his hand from her throat and brought his mouth away from her. He leaned in again and ran the side of his face against her, purring as he did it. Faye rubbed her face along his, enjoying the moment. She wouldn't admit it out loud, but she had always admired Jacob for everything that he was. He was the one who had saved her when her pack was going to kill her. She had fallen in love with him over the years but would never let herself admit it to anyone.
"I want you." She said as she continued to run her face along his. It just sounded like the right thing to say. She didn't know why, she wouldn't have told him on a normal day. But this day just hadn't started out normal and it wasn't going to end normal either.
"I want you, too." He breathed into her ear. Oddly, it was true. He had never really thought about it before. Faye was very attractive and a great person. Why hadn't he ever thought about her as more than a friend before? Because he was wrapped up in his own personal dealings with Mathayus and trying to avoid being killed by other wereanimals. Not to mention sulking every chance he had. But now all he wanted was her. Then something clicked in the back of his mind; there was still another person in the hallway with them.
Behind them, the man had moved along side Brett and Kristian. The light shining from both of them was almost blinding. He held up a hand to shield his eyes from it. He said something under his breath and the force around them dropped along with the ceiling and wall. Brett and Kristian screamed as both his the pike of the actions. The light covered everyone in the hallyway. It bathed them in a warmth they had never felt before. Jacob and Faye fell to the floor covering their eyes from the light. Kristian collapsed onto Brett breathing heavily.
"You're glowing." He said a litle worried. Brett only looked up at him and laughed with a bright smile.
"So are you." She said softly. He gently kissed his lips as their lights began to fade. Kristian looked up to see the hallway in ruins with Jacob and Faye unmoving on the floor. His eyes locked on a pair of black boots that were in front of him.
"Who are you?" He asked coming up to his knees while bringing Brett up with him.
"Heilyn?" Brett asked cautiously.
"Yes, Brett. I'm back." Heilyn said. A smile filled Brett's face and she scrambled up off the floor and threw herself into the arms of the man that none of them had ever laid eyes on before.
