Lunch Dates

It is amazing what a father will put him self through for the love of his daughter. It is even more amazing what he will do to protect his family. Kristian was definitely back to his normal self. The chaos magic left his heart very cold and very empty. The chaos Maiden Kaire implanted dark, impure thoughts that were not so easily shed.

“Sarai?”

“Yes?”

His wife looked up at him. She was attempting to knit to keep her mind off things. Kristian chuckled and sat beside her. His hands went to her shoulders and he started to massage softly. The poor woman. She loved her daughter so much. She was driving her self crazy trying to protect her.

“Do you know what Tamin is doing right now?”

“I have no idea Kristian. Hopefully he is trying to talk to that stubborn, mule headed son and daughter in law of his.”

She leaned back and closed her eyes. Sarai was tense. Kristian shook his head and slid his hands down to her upper back and pushed firmly yet gently. She gasped at all the pops that followed. Sarai did not realize how tense she was.

“Actually he is in the garden setting up a very delicious looking picnic for lunch.”

“Really?” Sarai blinked. “For all of us? That is terribly sweet.”

“I don’t think it is for all of us.” Kristian smirked and massaged lower. “I think it is only for one other guest.”

“Oh?” Sarai’s curiosity was up now. “Do you have any ideas who?”

“Yes and no.”

Kristian leaned closer so that his chest pressed against her back. His hands slid upwards and over her arms and front. Sarai mmd at his massage. Her body relaxed under his touch. He had such strong hands.

“So tell me or are you trying to seduce me into your bed again?”

“I have heard he has invited the Lady Veleska to lunch and yes I am trying to woo you. Is it working?” Kristian grinned and let his hands massage over her chest and down. “I do hope it is.”

“Veleska!?”

Sarai shot up from his arms. Kristian grunted his dismay at this and dropped his hands. He knew he should have went for the bed first damn it!

“Yes love. I think Lord Tamin has more than a slight interest in the goodly sister of white.”

“Are you serious? You can’t be. She can’t have relationships can she?” Sarai was surprised. “Tamin and Veleska?”

“Love I think they can have relationships. At least I think she can. She is above a sister remember. She is the chosen Avatar for the goddess. Also I don’t see what is so wrong with it. Tamin needs someone in his life too does he not?”

“I wasn’t saying that he didn’t.” Sarai looked at him sternly. There went any shot he had at getting a little afternoon loving. “I am just surprised that it is Veleska. She is a beautiful woman yes but she..I don’t know. She..” Sarai didn’t know how to describe it. “It is Veleska!”

“Yes love. It is Veleska. She seems very out of reach? Is that what you are trying to say?” Kristian scooted closer in hopes he could attempt his charms again. “Or is it just odd that well you never pictured her with someone. I think it is that whole..sister name personally.”

“I suppose it’s a little bit of both and don’t you come over here being all romantic.” Sarai smacked his hand lightly as he reached for her. “We have to go to lunch! I told Serenity to be there. I very well can not miss it because her father is being randy.”

“You’re going to kill me woman!” Kristian fell over and sighed. “I guess we had better get to the dining hall then.”

“Poor baby.” Sarai leaned over and kissed his cheek.”You can wait until tonight.” She grinned and pulled away.”let us go dear.” She pushed her self up and was already walking away. “We don’t want to miss lunch.”
“You are so evil.” kristian groaned and pushed him self up. He was panting with agitated frustration.“You know in the days when I was a dark over lord man type, I was never THAT evil!” He followed her reluctantly, even though his groin area throbbed as he walked. “I really wasn’t!”

“Yes dear. Come along before we are late!” Sarai hissed. “I want to be able to have one last lunch with her before she leaves tomorrow morning with Silvan.”

“I’m coming!” Kristian sighed. “Not like I want to BE but I am coming.”

“You act like I ignore you. Honestly Kristian.” Sarai smiled sweetly. “Can you behave during lunch please? I promise I will reward you if you do.”

“I always behave but since you put it that way.” He straightened up and grasped her arm in escort. “Do you need escorting my lady?”

“You are impossible Kristian.” Sarai chuckled. “Anyways there they are.” She motioned with her head. “Serenity! Silvan. Over here dears.”

“Hello mother and father. We were just going to look for Lord Tamin. We did not see him in the dining hall.” Serenity smiled. “He usually joins us.”

“Oh. I don’t think he will be joining us.” Kristian smiled. “He has a previous lunch engagement.”

“With who?” Silvan blinked. “He never has lunch with anyone outside the dining hall.”

Serenity gasped in realization when Silvan and Kristian spoke. She giggled and shook her head. Sarai chuckled and nudged all of them on into the dining hall. Her daughter did catch on quickly didn’t she?

“I think what father means Silvan is that your father is entertaining a lunch guest else where.” Serenity grinned. “You know he is an eligible and handsome bachelor after all.”

“Oh!” Silvan blushed. “Well I suppose father won’t be joining us.”

“Oh go on you two.”

Sarai closed the doors behind them. They had visiting to do as a family. Unlike The noble Lord Tamin Demetrious. He was pacing in the garden and waiting. Where was his lunch guest? He didn’t care that she was late necessarily. Tamin just wanted her to show up.

“Lord Tamin.” Veleska smiled. “You look nervous my lord.”

His jaw dropped and his eyes went wide. She was there! Oh yes she was definitely there. She had on a white Grecian style dress. It hooked over just one shoulder. Her other shoulder was bare. There was a sheer white material that looped over the single shoulder and down over her arm. She wore high laced, open toed shoes of silver to match her dress. Her hair was pulled up into a curly up-do. To accent her cheek there was just a few baby doll ringlet curls of white hanging down.

“M..My lady.”

Tamin forced his jaw closed. His silver eyes followed her curved up to her well endowed chest. Her breathing made it rise and fall gently. Her silver and jade green color of her eyes standing out against the paled, soft features of her face.

“Yes My lord?”

“Uhh..” Tamin blinked. Ah! Speak! His words some how managed to get caught up in his throat. “You..Look beautiful this afternoon my lady.” Finally! He took a deep breath and released slowly.”I have lunch over this way. If you would care to join me.”

“Thank you my lord. I am a bit hungry.”

Veleska stepped closer. Tamin was already beside her and wrapping his arm around hers in escort.

“Call me Tamin. My lord feels much too formal.” Ahh there he was! Tamin had found him self again. “If you wish to that is. You do not have to.”

“Tamin it is.” Veleska gasped quietly. Her eyes were fixed on the picnic blanket. They were surrounded by roses of all colors. “Its beautiful Tamin.”

“I used to come here a lot to think. I thought you may enjoy this spot. The hill over looks all of Corinth my lady.”

“Oh! Please call me Veleska.” She blushed slightly. “If you want to.”

“Veleska.” Tamin’s heart leapt into his throat. “Shall we?”

He felt like he was a boy again and Veleska was his first crush. It felt good. He had not shown real interest in a lady ever since his wife was taken many, many years before. Veleska blushed at his attentions. She never really saw him in this light before. Her duties as a sister always seemed to suppress these feelings.

“Yes.” She whispered it. “I believe I would enjoy that.”

Veleska looked up at him. Tamin smiled and stepped closer. His hand wrapped around hers and his other came up to brush a curl behind her pointed ear. Lunch was not a topic that crossed either of their minds at this moment.
“Aww!” Serenity pulled her self away from the window. “That is so sweet! Oh my gosh! Look I’m even blushing!”

“It is not normally polite to spy my love.” Silvan looked up from his plate. “I think its okay this time though.”

Sarai and Kristian both chuckled. Their daughter was a funny little thing sometimes. Silvan had to agree. Especially right now. She was being her typical teen self and spying on the cute, new couple forming outside instead of eating lunch.
