Character: Nikey

Nikey is trying really hard to make it up to Grant, to make him forget everything that happened, but at times he needs a little reassurance. Sometimes the tears overwhelm him, because he almost messed all of this up. He has no excuse, no reason, no redemption, yet Grant forgave him. He forgave him, and still loves him, and Nikey can’t believe he could ever be so lucky.

Grant hugs him, and begs him not to cry, but how could he not? How could he not?  When this is all too real, this is all that he thought lost.  He hugs Grant back, burying his face against his neck, smelling him touching him, because Nikey needs prove that everything is real, that Grant is truly next to him. Nikey blubbers promises against Grant’s skin. Promising to never do it again, promising to always love him, and silently and consistently begging him to never leave him. Nikey doesn’t believe he could ever survive that. Though he knows he completely deserves that, he deserves to watch Grant walk away, and that is why sometimes he has to cry. He isn’t sure when his luck might run out.

A/N: I think there is a story somewhere (hopefully not on some napkin that I've gotten rid of) about Nikey and Grant that would sort of explain this little blurb here. Since I don't know where that story is (isn't saved on my computer, I already looked) I'll just let you all in on the secret. Nikey suffers from Panic Disorder, first he was diagnosed with generalized anxiety, but it developed into severe panic attacks and even had a bout of agoraphobia (afraid of public places).

Lisa I said AFI they are/were a hardcore band (I say were because I'd describe their new music as alternative rock and no longer hardcore) from California. You prob. heard some of their decemberunderground songs a few years ago.
