Chapter 6: The note & Parent's graves.

I woke up in the middle of the night feeling weird. I started turning. 'oh no' i thought as i got up and ran up the stairs and then ran outside trying to get away from Jamie so i would not hurt her. I collasped onto the sidewalk. I was getting more harrier by the second. My nails started growing longer. My eyes were burning. I was now fully a werewolf. I smelled the air. I ran in the direction of the forest behind the house. I seen a racoon run up a tree so i followed it up the tree. I attacked it and then bit its head off. The dead racoon fell onto the ground and i jumped down beside it. I heard a gasp behind me and i turned around. It was Jamie staring into my yellow evil eyes. I stared back. She ran and i chased her not knowing what i was doing. I had her cornered. I started walking towards her.

"Please Cornelius! please dont hurt me!" she pleaded.

I continued walking towards her.

"Please!! you will regret doing any of this!" she begged.

I jumped at her and she ducked and i ran into the wall. I got up and shook my head. I looked around but she had ran. I smelled the air for her scent again. I smelled it and ran for the direction of it. I ran into the forest and looked around. I seen something moving up ahead so i ran for it. I finally found her behind a tree.

"Cornelius i know you dont want to do this" she pleaded again.

I just stared into her eyes. She stared back into mine with horrified eyes. I jumped at her and pinned her down to the ground.

"Oh god no, please Cornelius, you dont want to do this!" Jamie begged.

Just then i was shot with a tranq. I fell over and whimpered. Jamie got up looking at the man that had shot me with the dart.

"Thank you" she said looking nervously at him, then at me. "but he will be alright, right?" she added.

"Yes, he will be asleep till the sun comes up" the man said after nodding his head.

"Thank you.. but who are you?" asked Jamie.

"I was sent here to protect you kids from both the vamps and the werewolves" he replyed.

He made sure that i was right out, and then he picked me up.

"Come, follow me" he said to Jamie.

Jamie followed the man that was carrying me.

"Are you human?" asked Jamie.

"Yes, i am" he replyed.

The rest of the walk was silent, no one said a word. We finally got to the mans house. He layed me on a bed. Jamie sat down at the end of it. She looked down at me and started to cry. 'He tried to kill me' she thought to herself.

"Its ok my dear" said the man patting her on the back. "He will be fine" he added.

Jamie layed beside me the whole night clinging to me. She wasn't mad at all about me trying to kill her because she knows i can't control myself that well. I only could that one time because i knew it was going to happen so i prepared for it. This time, it just hit me.

The next morning i woke up. I looked beside me and saw Jamie hugging and looking up at me. I looked around.

"Where are we?" i asked Jamie.

"Last night you turned again.. and you almost killed me.. and this guy saved my life.. and he brought us here" replyed Jamie as the man brought in a plate of food.

"I see your awake now" said the man putting the plate on the bed.

"Yeah" i said rubbing my head and sitting up.

"I didn't bite you or anything?" i asked Jamie nervously.

"Nope.. he shot you with the tranq just in time" said Jamie.

"Thank you for not letting me hurt her" i said smiling at the man "But who are you anyway?" i also added.

"I was sent here to protect you kids from the vamps and the werewolves.. and yes im human" he replyed.

Just then 3 kids came downstairs.

"Theres my three kids, Alex which is 6, Kayla which is 11, and Ashley which is 13" the man said.

The 3 kids sat at the table with their dad.

"Daddy.. who are they?" asked Alex.

"They will be staying with us for a while" he replyed.

"I have a sister about the same age as him" I said.

"Oh do you? where is she?" asked the man.

"Well... she was taken away from me... im still trying to find her" i said sighing and looking at the floor.

"Who was she taken by?" asked Kayla.

"The evil vamps" Jamie answered for me.

"We will help you guys find her" said Ashley.

"I dont know hun, it might be a little dangerous" replyed the dad.

"Is it alright if we go back to my house for a little while?" i asked the man.

"Only if i can go with you" he said.

"Okay, sure, thats okay" i answered.

I got up and put my hood up. I went outside, being followed by Jamie, the man and his three kids.

"Get into the truck" said the man. We all got into the truck and he started off down the road.

"So is it where i found you kids last night?" he asked.

"Yes" said Jamie looking out the window.

I held her hand. She looked up at me and smiled, and moved a little closer to me. She felt safer with me, i could tell. We pulled into the driveway of my house and all got out. I walked into my house. I saw a note posted on my wall right infront of the door. I took it off. Jamie came up behind me, later being followed by the rest of them. They closed the door behind them. The man noticed the note in my hand.

"Whats that?" he asked.

"Its a note.. it was right there on the wall" i said pointing at the wall.

"Well what does it say?" he asked. I read it:

"You are one stupid boy to not come back to the castle for your sister.. We have her locked away underground somewhere.. to find her, read the back of this note to see the clues.. good luck. p.s theres also pictures in this envelope.. oh and dont forget.. we are watching you".

I just stared down at the note for a second. I took the pictures out of the envelope. I looked at them. They were all pictures of Emily. I was releived to see that shes alright. I showed everything to the man. He flipped the note around and looked at the clues. He made a screwed up face. I looked at Jamie. She was staring at me.

"These clues sound complicated" said the man finally "I will help you guys with them as much as i can" he added in smiling.

"Im sorry about your sister" said Alex on our way back to the mans house.

"Its ok Alex.. we will find her" i said trying to be strong, but inside i wanted to cry.

We got back to the house and went inside. The man had made us lunch. It was hotdogs. We all sat at the table eating.

"Oh and by the way my name is Mike" said the man taking a bite of his hotdog.

"Oh ok" said Jamie and i at the same time.

We all laughed. I almost choked on my hotdog.

"After lunch we will set off on the journey to find your sister alright Cornelius" said mike looking over at me "Because ever second we are losing time, and we have to get to her before something happens" he added.

I just nodded and took a bite of my hotdog.

After lunch Mike had packed up the stuff we would need, and he took another look at the note. He packed up the truck and called us all out. We all got in and he started off down the road.

"Okay, what was the first clue?" i asked.

"It says: Go down to the crimson lake and look for a big "T" shaped rock". he read out. We drove down to the crimson lake.. which was 10 minutes away. We drove across the beach untill Alex, being the one with the best eyes, seen it.

"There it is!" he called out all proud of himself.

We drove over to it, Mike and i got out.

"Kay, what is the next clue?" i asked.

"To find the answer to the next question, find the word near the bottom of the rock to finish the sentence..p.s you need to unscrable the letters. And the sentence is "She is near the ___ tower.. just 15 feet south of it and 3 feet east of that."

"Okay, now we need to find the word" i asked looking all over the rock.

"Okay, i found it.. the letters are etmtna" i said.

"Okay.. hmm... What are the names of towers around here?" i asked as we got back into the truck

"There is.... Crimson, Rastern, Leon, and Matten." answered Ashley.

"Its Matten tower!" shouted out Jamie.

We drove for about an hour, and finally arrived to Matten tower.

"What did that other half of it say?" i asked.

"Just 15 feet south of it and 3 feet east of that" replyed Mike.

Mike is really good at directions, so he found that pretty quckly. It was in the Matten cemetary.But when he figured it out it was getting really late. So we decided to just camp out for the night.

"This doesn't mean that shes dead does it?" i asked nervously.

"No, i dont think so, because the next and final clue says to dig underground right beside a grave named.. Mary Swanson?" answered Mike.

I froze and stared at him.

"Whats wrong?" asked Jamie.

"That... Mary.. was my mom.." i answered looking shocked at Mike.

Everyone just looked at me. They were all scared to say anything. I just stared out the window. After about an hour everyone had fallen asleep in the truck. I just continued staring out the window into the cemetary. We were parked right outside it. I opened the car door trying not to wake up anyone, and got out and closed it again. I walked into the cemetary looking for my parent's graves. I finally found them and sat down at their graves since they were both beside eachother.

"Mom.. dad.. im sorry for not taking better care of Emily" i said.

After a few minutes of talking my heart out to them, i fell asleep in between their graves.
