Kyou read that last sentence many times before it clicked in his mind what he was reading. When it did, he looked up at Shuu to find him biting his lip hesitatingly. Closing the book softly, he laid it on the bed and pushed himself up. Ignoring Shuu’s hasp for now, Kyou walked out the room and into his own. When he returned, Shuu didn’t acknowledge him, only continued to beat on the lifeless second player.
When Kyou turned off the system, he tossed down the controller and stared mutinously at the blank TV. Kyou’s diary was pushed into this face and he blinked rapidly in surprise.
“Read the first page,” Kyou mumbled, a slight blush adorning his cheeks.
Shuu took the book from his brother and read.
“There’s something wrong with me. I can’t get him out of my head. And it’s over something so STUPID, too. We were play fighting about who’d get a date first for the dance. He said he would ‘cause I wasn’t ‘sexy’ enough. So I thought I’d show him how ‘sexy’ I could be. I stared flirting with him and touching him.
\"Eventually, he got fed up and tackled me. We fought for a while before I pinned him to the floor. I don’t know if it was purposeful or not, but our hips were pressed together and I COULD FEEL HIM. I pulled away quickly enough I don’t think he felt me, but it’s stuck in my head. And that’s not the worst part……I want it to happen again, but I want more.”
Shuu put the book down on his lap and looked up into Kyou’s eyes. He grinned suddenly and threw his arms around Kyou’s neck.
The elder was thrown off guard and fell backwards. He laughed to himself and wrapped his arms around his brother tightly.
“Aniki,” Shuu said, pressing his face against Kyou’s neck. “Neither one of us ended up getting a date, did we?”
Kyou laughed again and pulled Shuu further into his lap. “No, I didn’t even go. I left the house, but I went to Rei’s house.”
“I didn’t go either. I was still thinking about that day. Did you know that was the day I started thinking about his? I refused to do anything about it, hell, didn’t write it in my diary ‘till a week later. I was too worried about what you’d think.”
“I know.”
They were silent for while before Shuu spoke up. “Oka-san was pretty pissed, wasn’t she?” he asked.
Kyou leaned his head back against the bed, sighing. “I really think some things wrong with her. Did you notice at some points she was really mad, but others she was only upset? It was like she didn’t know if she hated us or…something else.”
“I see it now. Then I was more interested in…other things. That’s not like her.”
“No.”
Comfortable silence ensued for while before Kyou burst out laughing.
Crossing his arms, Shuu glared. “It was a one time thing. Don’t think you’re going to beat me again.”
Kyou only laughed harder.
