Heart to Heart: Father and Son

Heart to Heart: Father and Son

Jason sighed and rolled onto his back in the soft morning light. He blinked his eyes open, yawning and looking around. Mm, Evan’s room. That’s right. He’d stayed the night, and what a night it had been.

He glanced to his side and frowned at the empty space. Sitting up he realized the shower was running. Did Evan always wake up this early? Looking at the clock confirmed it was only 6:30. God, he was dating a morning person.

Grumbling he scooted out of the rumpled bed and made his way to the bathroom. He pushed the door open, mumbling, “Morning.”

Evan pulled the curtain back and grinned at Jason’s grumpy face. “Not exactly a morning-person are we?” He chuckled and shook his head when Jason simply yawned in response. “I was going to let you sleep in a bit. Why are you up if you’re still tired?”

“Just hoped to see you naked and soapy,” Jason said with a small smile. “Wish granted,” he murmured eyeing what he could see of Evan.

“Join me,” Evan said grinning and ducking back into the shower.

“I plan on it as soon as I go to the bathroom. Promise I won’t do anything smelly,” he said with a small laugh. Evan snorted behind the curtain and continued washing. Eyeing a rather stubborn morning erection balefully, Jason plopped down on the cold toilet seat and set about angling himself enough to relieve his poor near-bursting bladder. “God I bet girls don’t have to deal with this kind of crap in the morning,” he grumbled, mostly to himself.

Evan laughed and rinsed soap from his body. “I can guarantee no girl ever has to deal with a full bladder and morning wood, unless she’s dealing with her grumpy boyfriend. It’s not so bad if you do it in the shower though,” he admitted through the curtain.

“Didn’t think you’d appreciate that,” Jason said with a sigh, standing and flushing the toilet. He climbed into the shower and grinned at Evan.

Evan laughed, “He’s happy now.” He handed the soap to Jason and moved out of the way, so Jason could get wet and lather up. “You’re a funny guy Jason.”

Jason grinned and handed the soap over, turning to get his back washed. “Glad you think so.” He sighed as Evan smoothed soap over his back murmured his thanks.

“Andy said you two showered together,” Evan said after a moment.

“Mm,” Jason said softly, loving the gentle strokes of Evan’s hands. “Once. It wasn’t like this shower though.”

“Why’s that?” Evan asked, not knowing why he was even asking such blatantly jealous questions. He hadn’t even known Jason that well when Jason had had the fling with Andy. They’d been nothing more than classmates at the time.

“Because it wasn’t with you. This is infinitely nicer,” Jason murmured without hesitating. “Andy was interesting to be with for the one day that we were together, but I love being with you, no matter what we’re doing. Andy has been my friend since third grade so I like hanging out with him, but you are my boyfriend, my lover. You make me feel whole…if that makes sense.”

Evan swallowed and slid his arms around Jason’s belly. “It makes sense…thank you for saying it.”

Jason turned and smiled. “It’s the truth. I don’t know why, but with you everything is…better. I don’t understand it…but that’s the way I see things.” He wrapped his arms around Evan’s shoulders and kissed his forehead. Evan couldn’t speak, so he simply held on until Jason gently pulled back and finished washing.

“Now,” Jason said with a small smile, “I believe I said you could have your way with me this morning.”

Evan laughed. “I remember, but I’m going to make you breakfast instead.”

“Almost as good,” Jason said with a laugh. He turned and shut the water off

They were sitting at the table eating hash browns and eggs when Jason’s cell rang. Frowning softly he flipped it open and nearly choked on the food in his mouth. “It’s my dad,” he gasped, swallowing the food quickly. Evan watched, wide-eyed, as Jason answered.

“Hello? Dad?” he asked in surprise.

“Jason? Oh good. Your mother gave me your number. She said you weren’t home and you were probably with…Evan…is that his name…yes Evan. Anyway I thought I’d just give you a call and see what you were doing and what you’ve been up to,” George said in a rush. Before he could keep rambling on any further Jason interrupted him.

“What have I been up to? God you must be joking! I’ve been calling you every fucking day for two weeks! Why the hell wouldn’t you take my calls, but then think you could just call up and chat like nothing happened?” Jason yelled into the phone, jumping up and nearly knocking over his chair.

George was quiet for a moment then sighed. “I know…I know. I just, I don’t know, freaked out about it. I didn’t know how to handle it. I mean first you didn’t tell me yourself…then I find out in front of all of these people that had already been told…completely without warning I might add. God Jason! Why didn’t you just come to me first? I had to hear it from a client of all people,” George yelled back.

Jason sank slowly back into his chair and rubbed his damp hair. “Mom told me to wait. We didn’t know if you would take it very well. I’d only been out to her and my friends for a week, maybe a week and a half. I hadn’t seen you for a while, and then Evan’s dad started talking about it. I wanted to tell you, but I didn’t want to be like Andy and his dad. They barely speak anymore and don’t you remember when Andy lived with us for a while? I didn’t want that for us,” Jason said softly.

George sighed. “God what a mess. I want to talk to you about this in person. Can we meet later today? You’re mother said you’ll be at work until 3:00 at Hal’s.”

“Yeah, sure, I guess,” Jason said with a small sigh. This was going to be painful.

“Good. Come over after work and we’ll talk. See you then,” George said, and then hung up.

Jason closed his phone and pushed it back into his pocket. “This is a lovely way to end a good morning,” he muttered. “I’m sorry Evan.”

Evan shook his head. “It’s okay Jason. I’m just happy he finally called. Maybe you can work stuff out with him now.”

“Yeah I guess so,” Jason sighed. He stirred his eggs and finally dropped his fork. I didn’t feel very hungry anymore. “Hey, I’m going to go home and get changed. Can’t let Hal see me in the same clothes two days in a row. He’d never let me hear the end of it.”

Evan nodded and smiled slightly. “Sure. It’s okay. Do you want to come over after I get off work again?”

Jason stood and sighed. He nodded and moved around the table to kiss Evan softly. “I would love to come over again. I think I’ll need it by then. Wish me luck.”

Evan pulled him down for another kiss and smiled a little. “Good luck Jason. Call me if you need me.”

Jason nodded and let himself out, heading for home and clean clothing.

Evan sighed and picked up their dishes. After placing them in the sink he wandered back to his room. He could still smell Jason a little in air. He sighed again and glanced around, noting with some amusement, Jason had left another pair of boxers behind. Evan was going to end up with a nice collection before long.

Evan spotted Jason’s sketchbook on the desk. Biting his lip lightly he picked it up. He doubted Jason would care if he peeked a little. He moved to his bed and sat in the middle of the rumpled bedding. The first picture was of Jason’s mother, so were several after it. She was out in the garden, smiling and laughing. The pictures were still rough, but Evan could easily spot the talent and skill that went into each picture.

The next pictures were of friends; Anna, Andy, and a few guys from school that Evan couldn’t name. After those Evan came to a group of pictures where Jason had clearly been struggling. The lines were jerky and in places the pictures were incomplete and rough. These must be the pictures he’d mentioned earlier that day.

He finally turned to the last group and swallowed hard. He’d known there would be at least one of him, but it was the last. Several beginning sketches were also included in the group. He turned the pages slowly. There had to be ten in all. In some he was simply sitting and laughing or smiling. One was of him sleeping on his couch. Jason must have had his book with him one of the nights he’d come over, that or he did it from memory.

Finally he came to the most recent picture and blushed lightly, touching the picture with careful fingers. He almost couldn’t believe it was a picture of him. With his arm over his face, it was easy to imagine it was another young man. Is this really what he looked like naked? Flushing, he closed the book and set it gently back on his desk.

With a small smile, he pulled out his own sketchbook and set to capturing a few images of his own.

Jason swallowed hard and knocked on the door of his father’s office. The secretary had waved him through the reception area and told him his father was waiting. “Come in!” George yelled from inside.

Jason pushed the door open and stood nervously in the doorway. “Hi Dad,” he murmured. He swallowed again not knowing if he needed to yell or cry at the moment.

George jumped up and hurried to him. “You came,” he said softly.

“Yeah, here I am,” Jason said with a shrug. Could this feel anymore awkward?

George looked at him for a moment biting his lip. Finally he cleared his throat, “Well come in and sit. I’m sorry I had you come here. God, could I have picked a worse place?”

“Hal’s,” Jason said sitting down on the leather couch that line one wall.

“Yeah I suppose it would have been worse. Jason I’m really sorry about that. I didn’t think…I just opened my mouth and meaningless crap spilled out,” George said softly, sinking down next to him.

“I should have told you when I told Mom. Though I guess I didn’t really tell her directly either. She caught me kissing Andy and I kind of just blurted everything out,” he murmured softly.

“You were with Andy too?” George asked softly. “I didn’t know.”

“For a day or so,” Jason said with a shrug. “He showed me some things…kind of like a teacher I guess. It was a little weird though…I’ve known him too long. He was the one that introduced me to Evan. He thought we’d be better together.”

“Evan. I’m afraid I stormed out before we really met. What’s he like?” George asked. He looked terribly uncomfortable, but at least he was trying.

Jason sighed and smiled. “He’s a great guy Dad. We started dating right at the end of school. He’s a lot like me really, so we get along great. I guess he’s different in that I want to be an artist and he wants to go to medical school after high school. He draws too, but I think he’d make a great doctor. He’s really smart and loves kids. He wants to be a pediatrician.”

“If you were my daughter, I’d tell you to marry him,” George said with a short laugh.

“But since I’m your son…” Jason prompted.

“Since you’re my son, I don’t know. I’ll try, I really will. I want to meet Evan, for real this time, no yelling involved. I can’t guarantee this will ever be easy for me, but I don’t want to be like Andy and his father either. Tired of being on the couch too…at home that is,” he grumbled.

“Amanda made you sleep on the couch?” Jason asked with a small laugh. Was everything okay with them now? He didn’t know. He couldn’t imagine his father would adjust this quickly. His father was a great guy and they were close, but Jason knew this probably struck a few masculine nerves that his father couldn’t help.

“Yeah she did. She was so mad at me that awful day she kicked me out of our room and told me to come back when I’d grown up,” he murmured.

“You’re not making up with me because you miss sex, are you Dad?” Jason asked, laughing.

“Of course not,” George said with an indignant blush. “I do care about you. I guess I was just caught off guard. I did need to do a little growing up though and realize that my son was becoming an adult. God you’ve grown up fast. You’re 18 in two weeks, right?”

“Yeah, weird huh?” Jason murmured. “I graduate in December too, since I have a ton of credits, and then it’s off to college.”

“Will you go to the same school as Evan?” George asked softly.

“I don’t know,” Jason said with a shrug. “It’s too soon to tell. I mean I guess it’s getting pretty serious, but I don’t know where it’ll go.”

“Serious?” George asked, raising an eyebrow. “Aren’t you a bit young for that kind of thing?”

“It’s not like I’ll get him pregnant Dad,” Jason snorted. “Besides, that’s between me and Evan,” he said firmly.

George nodded, “Yes of course. I shouldn’t pry. I suppose losing my virginity at 15 puts me in a position where I shouldn’t judge anyway,” George said with a short laugh.

Jason had to smile at that. “Are we okay Dad?” he asked softly.

George smiled softly and nodded, “Yeah. Give me a little time to adjust, but I think we’ll be okay. Want to bring Evan over tonight?”

“It’ll be after 8:00; that’s when Hal closes. Is that okay?” Jason asked, unsure if he should even commit to this.

“Sure, if it’s okay with Evan,” George said standing up. “I need to call his father too and apologize. I love his office equipment and don’t want him to start sending me second rate stuff.”

Jason nodded and stood. He walked across the office. “I’ll call Evan and let him know. He’s pretty easy going, so he shouldn’t mind coming over.” He stopped in the open doorway and turned a little. “Thanks for calling Dad.” George smiled and nodded and Jason left the office. He couldn’t believe that had gone so well after the scene in the deli.

***

Evan stood next to Jason, nervously waiting for Jason’s father to come to the door of his apartment. Evan wondered why a guy with so much money lived in an apartment. Maybe since there were just two of them, a house wasn’t necessary?

Instead of Jason’s father the tiny blond Evan had seen at the deli opened the door. “Jason! Oh I’m so glad you came! And Evan too. God aren’t you cute,” Amanda said beaming at Evan.

“I…uh, thank you Miss…” Evan stumbled in embarrassment.

“Amanda,” she said firmly. “Come in, come in. George is just putting out some snacks. He thought you might be hungry. You are growing young men after all,” she said pulling them both inside and kicking the door closed.

Jason had always gotten a kick out of Amanda. She was bubbly, sharp as a tack and one of the nicest people he’d ever met. He idly wondered why his father hadn’t married her yet. He followed her through the big apartment, clasping Evan’s hand nervously. Would his father really be okay with all of this?

George was setting out a big plate of nachos when Amanda pulled them into the kitchen. He looked up and smiled, tugging off his oven mitts. “Oh good, just in time. My nachos are really only good hot.”

“It’s true. When they get cold they’re all soggy and nasty,” Jason murmured to Evan. Evan grinned and laughed a little at that. Thank you Jason for trying to lighten the mood. “Dad, this is Evan, Evan this is George, my father,” Jason said resting his hand lightly on Evan’s slim back.

Evan stepped forward, unsure what to do until George stuck out his hand and smiled. “Evan, yes we’ve met, sort of. I apologize for my previous outburst.”

Evan took the offered hand and blushed lightly. “It’s okay. I understand that this is very hard for you. My father didn’t talk to me for a year. I’m glad you called Jason so quickly.”

George flushed and nodded, “Yes of course.” He was quiet for a moment and then cleared his throat, “Please sit, everyone. It’s not getting any better with age.”

They sat around the small table, nibbling and chatting lightly, for a while, about school and the boy’s art and hobbies. For a while, Jason felt like everything was normal, like before. His father laughed and told stories, embarrassing Jason with a few of them, but making Evan laugh.

By the time the food was gone and George had run out of stories it was nearing midnight and Amanda was visibly drooping. “We should get going Dad. I have to be to work at ten tomorrow and Amanda is about ready to slide out of her seat,” Jason said with a small smile.

George walked them to the door and Amanda just waved sleepily from her chair at the kitchen table. “Jason, could I speak to you for a moment please?”

Evan smiled at Jason, “I’ll wait out on the sidewalk.” He kissed Jason lightly on the cheek and wandered down the steps and into the dark of the yard. Jason watched Evan leave with an adoring smile plastered on his face.

George watched the exchange with a small smile. It was still odd to admit his son was with another young man, but after seeing them interacting for the past few hours, he had to admit they were good together. Evan was a funny kid and sharp as could be. He’d thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the young man that now dominated a healthy chunk of his son’s life.

Jason turned his attention back to his father. “What’s up Dad?”

George smiled and shook his head gently. “I just wanted to tell you he’s a wonderful young man. I’m happy for you, even if it still unnerves me a bit that you’re with another boy insrtead of a nice girl. I just want you to be happy.” He hugged Jason and sighed. “You’re a good boy.”

Jason laughed and pushed away gently, “Yeah, yeah. Thanks Dad,” he said with a small sigh.

George nodded. “You two need a ride home or anything?”

“No, it’s okay. Evan doesn’t live very far from here,” he said, and then winced, realizing his Dad probably didn’t want to think about him sleeping at Evan’s place.

George ignored to implications and nodded. “Sure. Careful walking there. It’s Friday, so a lot of people are out partying.”

“Yeah, sure. We’ll be careful,” Jason said going down the steps. He waved to his father one last time before catching up with Evan on the sidewalk and grabbing his hand. “Hurry,” he whispered, pulling Evan behind him as he hurried down the sidewalk.

“Jason? What are you doing? Where are we going?” Evan asked, startled by Jason’s rushing.

Jason spotted a small group of trees in the neighborhood park and pulled Evan behind them. Evan squeaked as Jason pressed him up against one of the trees and leaned into him. “Finally,” Jason murmured, slanting his mouth fiercely over Evan’s.

Evan flailed for a moment, startled by the sudden attack, but slowly relaxed and slid his arms around Jason’s waist, sinking into the fiery kiss. He didn’t know what had come over Jason, but he wasn’t going to argue. Typically Jason was rather shy about public displays like this, but from the urgent grind of both his mouth and his hips, Evan was thinking maybe Jason didn’t care much about the public at the moment.

Evan gasped for breath when Jason pulled away and slid his lips down over Evan’s jaw and neck. “Jason…not that I’m complaining…but we’re in the middle of a park…a public park,” he rasped. Jason hummed softly, indicating that he was aware of that fact and sank to his knees.

Evan jumped and gave what he was sure sounded like an indignant squawk when Jason slid to his knees and immediately began to unbutton Evan’s slacks. He blushed furiously, wondering what had gotten into Jason. A car drove past and the headlights skimmed the ground a few feet from where they stood. Anyone in a bigger vehicle or anyone walking by would surely see them out here. Despite all of that, Jason pulled Evan from his pants and slid his warm mouth around the jutting length. “Jason…I don’t think this is the place…oh God…Jason please,” Evan groaned, his hands unconsciously sliding through Jason’s soft, dark hair, clenching at the short strands.

“Just hush and enjoy it,” Jason murmured softly before taking Evan back into his mouth. He’d only done this once before, during their first time together, so he knew there wasn’t a lot of skill going into it. He decided to make up for that with enthusiasm, something he had in bucket loads at the moment. He had been so happy and relieved about making up with his father that he’d just suddenly needed to touch Evan in the worst way.

He hummed softly in pleasure as his tongue swirled around Evan’s thick length and Evan jerked in response. Responsiveness was something that Evan definitely had loads of. Jason loved listening to Evan groan and cry out whenever they were intimate like this. Every sound went straight to his own throbbing erection. It demanded attention, but he ignored the need, knowing it would be fulfilled later. Evan was very good about reciprocating any pleasures Jason inflicted on him.

He wrapped one hand around the thick member in his mouth and used the other to slide into Evan’s gaping zipper. Wiggling his fingers a bit, he managed to get his hand through Evan’s boxers and careful caressed the soft, tight balls between his thighs.

Evan shuddered and tightened his grip on Jason’s hair, his knees giving out under the onslaught of sensations. It was far too soon for him to be this close, but Jason’s lips and tongue were ruthlessly drawing him towards a pleasurable end. “Jason…it’s coming…please,” he stuttered, trying to telling Jason he didn’t have to swallow, but not getting the words out.

Jason firmed his stroking hand and took Evan deeper with each movement of his mouth. Evan couldn’t take the sensations and groaned, probably a bit too loudly. He froze and grunted as his body spilled everything into the warm, inviting mouth of his gorgeous boyfriend. He shuddered as Jason’s swallowing sent tingles through his hypersensitive groin. Jason hummed softly in satisfaction and pulled back with a final parting suck.

Evan sighed in relief and smiled down at the man at his feet. “God you’re amazing,” he murmured. He started to pull Jason to his feet when footsteps startled them both and they froze. Evan gasped and quickly pulled his clothing back together, gently tucking his wilting length back in his boxers. “Shit,” he swore when they heard two men laughing and chatting softly.

Jason stood with him in the shadows and watched wide-eyed as the two passed slowly, and then stopped. It was hard to see them under the dim streetlight down the street, but Jason got the vague impression that they were familiar. Oh God, don’t be someone from school. They were likely far too mussed to pass it off as a late night stroll home. He saw that one was wearing a letter jacket and his heart nearly stopped beating. What if it was someone like Fletcher? He drew Evan against him, accidentally snapping a few twigs in the process.

The guy without the jacket spun. “Hello? Is someone there?” a familiar voice asked sharply.

“Andy,” Jason gasped, relief flooding through him so quickly he near sat down.

“Jason?” Andy asked ducking under the tree branches and entering their shadowy hiding place. “What in the hell are you doing in here?” he asked. Even in the dim light he quickly took in and processed Jason’s wildly mused hair and swollen lips, and then spotted Evan behind him looking almost as rumpled. “Never mind. None of my business,” he said holding up a hand. Both young men blushed and looked at the ground nervously.

“Why are you even in this neighborhood? Pretty far from home buddy,” Andy teased Jason.

“So are you,” Jason murmured back. “I was at my Dad’s. He finally called me and we talked.”

“How’d he take it all?” Andy asked. “I mean I know he blew up a few weeks ago, but is he cool about it now?”

“Not really cool with it, but he says he’ll adjust. He even met Evan tonight and I think he likes him,” Jason said throwing Evan a soft smile.

“Hey Jason…Evan,” the other guy said behind Andy.

Andy looked over his shoulder and grinned. “I didn’t forget about you Craig, don’t worry.”

Craig came forward, smiling at the teasing, and grinned at Evan and Jason. “Surprised?” he asked softly as they eyes went wide and Jason’s mouth dropped open. “So was I,” he admitted sheepishly. “He seduced me, I couldn’t stop him.”

Andy laughed softly and ran his fingers lightly down Craig’s neck. “I vaguely remember you coming on to me, not the other way around.”

“So you guys are together?” Jason asked in soft bewilderment. He’d thought of Craig as the All American Jock type, like Fletcher. Fletcher would probably crap his pants if he found out about this particular friendship. Jason smiled at the handsome athlete; Fletcher wouldn’t hear it from him, that was for sure. “I didn’t know…” he said.

Craig shrugged. “No one knows. It just happened one day and it was right,” he said grinning at Andy.

“What about school?” Evan asked softly, stepping forward a bit. Concern was etched all over his face.

Craig smiled and shrugged. “Most of Fletcher’s goons are gone now. Andy and I will be discrete, but if it comes out at school, no biggie. We’ve already talked about the possibility of that happening and are ready for it. I could ask the same question of you though.”

Evan nodded and shrugged. “Yes of course. It’s bound to come out when school starts. It’ll be rough I suppose, but at least we’ll have a few friends left,” he said softly, smiling at Andy and Craig. Andy and Craig grinned back and nodded. “Well we need to get home. Jason as work at 9:00 tomorrow…today I suppose,” he said looking at his watch. “We’ll see you both later won’t we?” he asked, slipping his hand into Jason’s.

“Yeah sure,” Andy murmured, smiling at the two. “I’ll give you a call Saturday and we’ll go see a movie or something.” The four exchanged farewells and Jason and Evan wandered, hand-in-hand, down the street towards Evan’s apartment.

“I had no idea Craig was gay,” Evan murmured.

“From the way he talked and with all the girlfriends he’s had, I don’t think he knew either,” Jason said softly back. “Must be something in the water in this town,” he said with a soft chuckle.

“Whatever it is, I’m glad it’s there,” Evan said with a laugh of his own. “Otherwise maybe we wouldn’t be here now.”

“Making out under the trees of a playground?” Jason asked in a teasing voice.

“Exactly,” Evan said, laughing. “No, I’m serious. I’m really glad I met you Jason. When I finally admitted to myself that I was gay, I was so worried that I’d never find love, or at least not the lasting kind. But when I met you, the possibility didn’t seem so distant anymore.”

Jason swallowed the tears that threatened to spill out and pulled Evan close as they walked. “I’m glad I met you too. I love you so much,” he murmured hoarsely. “I know we’ve only known each other for a few weeks, really, but I think this could be for real.”

Evan smiled and bumped into Jason lightly with his shoulder. “I think so too.”

***Temporary End***

Okay, I\'m wrapping this up for a bit. I think I\'ll work on some other stories and then come back and do some sequels with Andy/Craig, Jason/Evan and Jennifer/Rich. Sorry if you wanted more now, but I\'m losing steam on this one. I think I\'ll do more on the controversies bound to happen when they go back to school. I am also moving this one to the Original-Slash section shortly. :) Hope you liked it. If you like these kind of cute/smutty fics e-mail me and I\'ll direct you to a whole load of similar, good ones. bean120001@yahoo.com
