Chapter 0051: Burnt Offerings :

It felt so amazing. The three had reached their climax simaultaneously. Sabbath felt so spent. His entire body was sore and drenched with perspiration. The sweat dripped heavily from his body as his ragged breathing came shallowly through his lips.

"Leave him, Koba. We have no more need of the other Keys. These two are enough for us." Tokuro firmly told his subordinate, "Relaying to heavily on the power of others is a weakness."

Sabbath looked at them. He was finally free of them. He wondered what these strange Easterner from the Far East had upon their agenda. But he knew he was charged with a different mission. He had to find all 7 Keys for his Master. But he knew since they possesed two of them that he would again meet them. After all he would need to give the Emerald Sword and the Hand of Doom onto his Prince Marduk.

Koba was reluctant to leave. His hand rested anxiously on the dagger. It was obvious that Koba wanted to live no one living behind them. Sabbath swallowed nervously afraid that Koba would not obey his master.

Tokuro snapped, "I said leave him! We have to get to the frontlines. I can smell it inthe air. The first battles have begun and this business with the Guardian's Keys have made us miss them."

Koba quickly followed the already moving Tokuro. Sabbath let out a sigh of relief. He made his way to the next of the Seven Keys. It would not take him long since he had lied to them. He knew where the others would be found. He had contacted the Nameless Gods of Darkness and Shadow from the Planes of Hell to answer the cryptic message of the insane prophet. He had only to face the obstacles that guarded each treasure and deliever it up before his Prince Marduk.

Sabbath placed his tattered clothing back upon his person, and set off in the opposite direction that Tokuro and Koba had taken.

Mikael stood upon the edge of the cliff looking out into the depths of blue. Rolling waves crashed against each other. The new body suited him well. This was strength. He felt nothing in the fact that in order to gain this body he had slain both Anaal Nathrak and Kotipellli. All that mattered now was that he was alive. And he would take his vengeance and test his skills against the one known as Aes'Danaan. He smiled at the prospect.

His fingers touched the long, dyed silver hair. It wasn't the same. He frowned. He wanted his own body back. But he supposed he had no choice. He tried to reconcile to the facts that he was at least still alive.

The smell of burning flesh was still fresh in the air. He wondered how long it would take for the corpses of the village to burn. He had set the village afar after he had slaughtered in offering to the Demon Lords from Hell for a new body. The fire was also a part of the offering. For some reason he did not fully understand the Demon Lords of Hell loved fire. He wondered if it was the same thrill he got from the scent and sound of battle. He smiled longing for his battle against Aes'Danaan. But first he would need to make another offering to the demon lords of hell to gain his eternal youth.

He walked down through the dirt path that had served as a road to the neighboring village. It did not take him longer then half the day to reach it. Dark clouds slowly raised over the village upon the entrance of Mikael Stormblade. The wind he raised was oddly scorching hot for this time of year. He smiled darkly as he spoke in a voice that shook the heavens, "Hear me, Nameless Powers of Hell, I offer Blood and Fire! For this I ask only for my Eternal Youth!!"

The villagers started at Mikael as though he were insane and yet fear and doubt clouded their eyes as several took refuge in their homes. Mikael laughed at their folly. Lightning struck down. Flame took light to several of the houses as lightning crushed around the village. The Storm had come. Screams of terror brought a smirk to those pale lips.

He frowned as he saw someone approaching him. He had not expected to meet a warrior. He had never seen this man's nationality before. He was no man of the West that was for certain. Nor was his travelling companion.

Mikael and the stranger started slaughtering the villagers with no mercy. Children, women, and the old were cut down along with the men. Many tried to flee; but it was useless. Such was the strength and ruthless battle tactics of the two men.
