Chapter 51
When would this Hell be over with? Were those pricks ever planning on giving back Jyotis? He wouldn't be surprised if they were batting him around like a game of baseball. Really, they were not going to get away with it.
Ramesh had been pacing around his hotel room – newly rented because he couldn't go home – and trying to figure something out. Until they returned his brother, he couldn't risk disobeying them, but once Jyotis was back safe with him, they were as good as dead. Oh, how enjoyable it would be to snap those little brats in two over and over into millions of pieces and then let his brother have a bonfire with them.
The phone rang, making him jump and dive for his pants on the floor. He yanked out the cell and checked the caller ID. Probably them. Taking a deep breath, he pressed the button and put it to his ear. "What is it now, more evidence to destroy? Bodies to dispose of? Or maybe you want me to strip at your bachelor party?"
He heard an annoyed breath at the other end. After a few seconds of that, a voice hissed angrily. "Ramesh, you fucking clown."
"Clown?" He growled, completely insulted and not knowing why. Where did they get off calling him names for no reason? "What the fuck is your problem? I did what you told me to, didn't I?"
"Yeah, good job." The guy mumbled without as much as a trace of enthusiasm, then continued, "why didn't you tell us your brother has allergies? Now he's coughing all the time, and I think he's in pain. After all the trouble we went to in order not to hurt a single hair on his body, and now he's suffering because of food? Way to go, Ramesh."
"I didn't tell you because I thought you'd make him sick on purpose! Fuck..." Just his luck. They'd have found it anyway! So much for trying to protect his brother that way, but hopefully it wasn't too bad. He rolled his eyes and got up, cradling the phone between his shoulder and his ear as he pulled on his pants. "Give him some aspirin and warm water. Hopefully it's not that bad and it'll pass. If it is bad, then take him to a fucking doctor. Now is that all you called me for?"
"Thanks for the great faith in our intentions. It really is heartwarming." The voice responded sarcastically. A deep breath followed. "Tell me what it is Jyotis shouldn't eat. Then you've got some shopping to do. Got pen and paper ready?"
He glanced at the hotel paper on the nightstand but made no move to get it. They weren't seriously going to make him do their shopping? Those crazy sons of bitches. "I don't need paper. I've got a good memory." He sat down on the edge of the bed and sighed. "He's allergic to eggs."
"Alright, here goes..." The guy took another deep breath, then started listing up, "some pizzas without eggs, a glass of curry similarly egg-void, mincemeat, potatoes, carrots, pineapple, bell peppers, bamboo shoots, a sack of rice, a box of ice cream, a bottle of hair gel, two white shirts, a couple cans of cat food and feline lysine gel. Got that?"
Maybe writing it down wasn't such a bad idea. He went over it all in his head, memorizing the list, and started toward the door. "Yeah, I got it... And how do you expect me to drop it off? Leave it on the street four blocks away from your apartment?"
The guy snorted. "Funny. If we were going to keep going outside, don't you think we could've gotten these things ourselves? Plus, I obviously don't want to carry a mountain of groceries that far... call when you're done shopping, you'll be permitted around here for the delivery."
"Great. Sounds like you have it all worked out." He hung up and sneered down at the phone. Hated that he needed permission to go within four blocks of where they were keeping his brother. Couldn't really expect those punks to have any concept of the importance of family. If they did, they wouldn't have been so quick to take away all he had left. He left the hotel, ready for a day of grocery shopping. Now where the hell would he find bamboo shoots and lysine gel?

It was time. It was finally time to face that bastard again. Nele couldn't wait to give that bigass behemoth a piece of his mind – and maybe a piece of his boot down that bigass throat. They could make him do anything. Might as well make him leap through flaming hoops like an over-sized ugly poodle.
Nele had watched with excitement, and a touch of fear, when Luo came out of the room after the phone call to Ramesh. Everyone gathered quickly, but Nele made sure to be the first one there, standing expectantly and all ready to jump into action. He wanted to do something. To avenge Rex by smacking that woman around, and by nailing Ramesh's balls to his forehead.
Not everyone seemed to share his restlessness. Leandor was standing in the balcony doorway, looking as bored as ever. Kiyoshi was leaning against the wall, while the others, Takuya, Luo, Rick, Kyun and the mouse were all seated. Really, it was a colourful group, and everyone was likely to be coping with all that happened in their own ways, but Nele was too worked up about Ramesh to pay much attention to their moods.
"I want to go down when he gets here!"
There were two seconds of silence, then Takuya smirked over at him. "I second that. Let's feed him the carrot and see if he goes away." The Japanese chuckled, shaking his head as he glanced over the others.
"Shut it, you sexless twink. This is a serious issue, so stay the fuck out of it." He wrinkled his nose and stuck out his tongue at Takuya and then straightened up to look around at the ones he figured would be making the decisions. "This is our chance! We're going to take action, right? We – well, most of us anyway – are sick of being imprisoned, right? So let's end it!"
The yellow-haired prick rolled his eyes. "Serious issue? That's what I was about to tell you. Stay here and let us handle it." His attention shifted to Leandor, then by Choi and over to Luo. "Are we going to tell Zach?"
What would that brat do to Ramesh? Spit-shine his shoes? Nele grimaced and crossed his arms, pacing back over to lean against the wall next to Kiyoshi. "Whoever doesn't come can deal with that pretentious prick. We shouldn't waste any time that can be used to prepare."
"My darling boy, watch what you say." Leandor's voice was lowered to a mutter, but the aggravation was all too obvious. "You may want to refrain from calling Zach that again unless you want to wake up tomorrow a few inches shorter."
Over by the table, Kyun and Luo were apparently having a hushed conversation, but Kyun was still in a mutual embrace with Julian. Nele felt an arm around his shoulders, Kiyoshi's body shifting to rest against his soon after. "We can't really all go down, can we?" Takuya's voice cut through the silence, by his body language the question was clearly directed at Choi.
"No." The Korean responded simply, then leant back, gazing patiently over at the other two Koreans. Apparently not everyone was in a rush.
Nele idly ran his fingers over Kiyoshi's face and into the hair. Part of him wanted to stay back and protect that man, but for the most part he knew he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he didn't take action against the bastard that hurt Kiyoshi in the first place. He glanced over at Choi, trying to figure out what was going on in that head. "I need to go down with you guys..."
Quirking a brow, Choi lazily met his gaze. "Need to? You might get hurt. We need to talk through this..." He cast a quick glance over at Kyun and Luo, but those two were apparently still discussing something they didn't want to share with the rest of them.
"Wait, what do you mean I might get hurt? You might get hurt too and so might Luo. I know we need to talk this through; that's what I'm trying to do now." He scowled over at the two in the private conversation. It didn't matter that he knew his friend the fairy was annoyed as Hell. "I don't care what we decide. I have to help."
When the hushed chat finally ended, Luo pushed to his feet. He moved over past Kiyoshi and Nele, then turned so he faced everyone. He let out a short cough; not that it was necessary, all eyes were already on him. "Those who want to come, raise a hand." He said, addressed at noone in particular.
Nele raised his hand immediately. It was practically up before the man finished the sentence. He looked around to see who he'd be dealing with. Only Choi, Kyun, and Takuya's hands were raised. Not too bad; though it wasn't surprising. He couldn't really see the others volunteering for something like that. Rick running around after the behemoth with that useless leg? Leandor criticizing the bad guy's fashion sense until he goes away? The mouse squeaking until everyone's heads exploded?
Said rodent apparently didn't like the arrangement already. He claimed Kyun's mouth in an insistent kiss and tugged the man's sleeve to pull the hand back down. Couldn't really blame the kid for being scared. It was bound to end up with someone going down one way or another.
The Korean quickly wrapped his arms around Julian, returning the kiss eagerly. Leaning in to whisper something in the other's ear, Kyun saw the purple-haired guy sigh and look away. He frowned, then whispered something more, this time getting a pout and a nod as the response. Reluctantly, the black-haired guy pushed to his feet, walking over towards Luo while gazing back frequently.
With a quick signal to follow given with his hand, Luo started walking over towards the big bedroom. Once Nele figured out where he was going, he hurried past him and was already sitting on the bed when the four orientals entered through the door.
He flashed an excited smile and crossed his legs while he watched them. Whatever they had decided, it seemed he was going to be a part of it! Maybe when it was done the idiots would have a little more respect for him! Okay, maybe it was wishful thinking, but that didn't matter either. "Well, fellas, how badly should we kick his face in?"
"We?" Takuya gave him an amused look, then sat down on the bed next to him. "We'll dress you up as a baby, and then when he sees us, you can sneak up on him and smack him over the head with your rattle."
