Edge Of Reason
AN: Hey everyone, you may have noticed that i have deleted edge of reason... thats because im combining the two. i realized that the plot i have set out needs the two stories to go together. so this is the first chapter of EOR as well as a continuance. enjoy.
Camrion looked in disbelief at the man he had loved for five years. How could he just throw him out like he was nothing? He had dedicated his life to making King Shandowlf happy, doing everything that he ever asked and for what? Was he being punished, sent to spend the rest of his life with the enemy?“Is there a problem Camrion, is there something wrong with what I have asked of you?” The King stared unblinkingly at Camrion, daring him to refuse.
“No, your majesty. I would be ho..honored to protect your son.” He couldn’t meet the kings eyes, couldn’t let the man see how much the command was tearing him apart.
“Good, take this and go, the carriage will be leaving shortly. Make sure Leodorean has what he needs.” Camrion took the letter from the king and made his way out of the throne room. “Camrion, don’t read that until after Leo’s wedding, is that understood?”
With a soft nod, Camrion left the room as well as any thought of him ever being with the king behind him. He would just have to put his feelings away and never think on them again. His only concern now was Prince Leo’s safety.
Camrion tucked the letter into his coat pocket and made his way up to the prince’s chamber to help him pack. This would be good, a new beginning for them both. Yes, this would be a perfect opportunity to move on.
“Camrion, where have you been, this is awful.” Leo cried as he knocked his trunk off the bed, spilling the contents all over the floor.
“I understand my lord, but this is your father’s wishes. This truce will help the Kingdome.” Camrion sighed , resigned to his fate.
“This truce is a joke, my father is a joke, and this kingdom is a joke” Leo whined.
This would be more difficult then he thought
