Jay Cummings:
Sleeping on the couch was a good idea...in theory. It’s a little lumpy and the material is scratching me slightly. I sit up and glare at it. Stupid couch.
I let out an exhausted sigh. I shouldn’t be blaming the couch. My thoughts just can’t leave Roy.
I shouldn’t have reacted that way. I know it. But trust is something I can’t just give as easily as I used to. Everyone I ever trusted only hurt me in the end. It was different when he’d basically tie me down and do…those things to me. He never asked for my trust in those instances. So why now? What has changed in the last little while that would make him want my trust?
“Jay!” I almost fall from the couch and glare at my mind’s tormentor.
“What?”
“Someone is here. I don’t know who but I can tell it’s not someone selling cookies.”
“Wait, what?”
Roy rushes to my side and grabs my arm. He pulls me along to the garage and opens the passenger side door to his car. He all but throws me onto the seat and hurries around to the other side. He gets in and slams the door at the same time I close mine. The car goes from zero to ninety in a split second. I cover my face with my hands and pray to God that we make it out alive.
“Don’t worry. I won’t crash us.”
I do not find that reassuring at all.
An odd sound reaches my ears suddenly.
“Is that a helicopter?” I remove my hands and, of course, there’s a helicopter following us. “Just prefect.”
A second before bullets start raining down on us, the car swerves sharply and I’m thrown into Roy. I hold onto his arm before the car stops completely. I open my eyes slowly and see that we are now facing the helicopter.
My eyes widen is horror. “Roy...shouldn’t we be facing the other way?”
“Quiet.”
I turn a glare at him, ready to yell but stop. His eyes are changing colours. Swirls of aqua blur into the grey. There’s a glassy look to them like he’s lost in a memory. I’m just about to start panicking when the helicopter tilts to the side and crashes several feet from us. Roy grunts and leans over the steering wheel. His heavy breathing fills around us.
“Roy?” I touch his back gently and he flinches slightly.
“I need...need to sleep...glove box...Katsu...” He falls over slightly on me and I catch him.
“Who is Katsu?”
Roy Foreman:
Laughter is the first thing I hear when I finally wake up. My head beats steadily in annoyance at my over usage of it. Fuck it. What else was I supposed to do? I slowly sit up and look around the room. This is Katsu’s place. Then that laughing is...
Jay? It can’t be. I’ve never heard him laugh before.
I walk slowly out of the room and towards the sounds I hear. They’re coming from the kitchen. Katsu and Jay sit at the high table together, talking and drinking coffee.
“What the hell?”
Katsu turns to me and his smile vanishes. Back is the smirk I remember so well. “Well, well...look who’s awake.”
Katsu is another member of Thanatos. He’s not on any team. He works as a bodyguard and assassin. He is the best single unit team, Urijuka Katsu. He’s so good he doesn’t even use an alias. Short perfectly styled black hair and dark green eyes. Exactly the same as I remember him.
“Roy!” Jay practically bounces over to me, a huge smile stretched on his face.
His arms wrap around me as he nuzzles his face into my neck.
What the...
“Damnit, Katsu!” I glare at the man, whose smirk only widens. “What did you give him?”
“Just something to calm him down. No need to worry.” He shrugs off my irritation and gets up from his seat. He takes his mug and walks past me.
“Come on, Jay.” I drag him back with me to the room.
“Mmm, Roy.” Lips press into my throat and I tense slightly.
“Damnit.” I toss him onto the bed where he lands comfortably and simply watches me for several seconds.
He gets up slowly and crawls across the mattress to the edge where I stand. He lifts the hem of my shirt and presses his lips to my abs without breaking eye contact. Heat instantly pools in my growing erection. It would be so easy to take him right now.
“Since when do I have morals?” I grumble to myself.
I pry his hands off of me and force him back on the bed. I crawl over him and press my lips to his cheek. A breathy moan answers my actions. He tries to thrust his hips into mine but I pull away and turn him on his side, facing away from me. I then grab both of his wrists and hold them tightly in mine.
“I am not going to do anything to you while you’re like this.”
Somehow the words worm their way into his drug-hazed brain and he struggles against me. Whines and moans spill from his throat but I refuse to let them affect me. I sing the “Never-Ending Song” in my mind for what seems like eternity until his struggles finally die down and he passes out completely.
I quietly sneak from the room and go find Katsu. His thoughts place him in the living room. He’s sitting in the armchair as usual, waiting for me. I sit on the edge of the coffee table and glare at him.
“I want answers.”
“And I have some of them.”
“Then start talking.”
“You were attacked by someone from Thanatos.” My eyes widen in shock. “However, it was unauthorized.”
“Tsubasa didn’t issue the attack?”
“No. I don’t know who did and what prompted this. It is safe to assume that the bosses are innocent.”
“Then who is targeting us?”
“Your guess would be as good as mine.”
I sigh and rub my hand against my still aching head. Katsu reaches out and pulls my hand away. The smirk is gone now.
“The two of you can stay here while I search out Fyre’s hacker tomorrow. If anyone knows who set this up, it would be him.”
“True.”
“While I’m gone, do try to not wreck my home.”
“No promises.” I smirk at him before he releases me and wanders off to bed.
I need a drink. And I know Katsu has some good shit around here.
I make my way to the kitchen and find a bottle of vodka. I grab a glass and sit at the high table. Luckily, I’m not like most people. Alcohol only takes the pain away and doesn’t make me drunk. I down three glasses before I hear Jay at the entrance to the kitchen.
The second his eyes land on me, he starts fidgeting. He slowly makes his way to the table and sits across from me.
“Thank you.” He mumbles under his breath.
I let a smirk stretch across my face as I reach out and brush my fingers against his cheek. “Do I get a reward?” His cheeks turn pink as he moves away from my touch. I laugh at him and move my hand away, my smirk changing to a smile. “I was joking.”
Green eyes grow wide as he watches me. I touch his mind and...
Jay Cummings:
I’ve never heard him laugh before. I’ve never seen him smile before. I’ve seen his smirks, his grins. I’ve heard his chuckles. Never have I heard something genuine.
He frowns at me.
He’s just as surprised as I am.
Acting on impulse, I use the table as leverage and lean across it to connect our lips. He freezes for a second before one of his hands moves to hold the back of my neck. His tongue licks at my lips and opens them instantly, my own tongue rushing to meet his. They mesh together in sloppy desire. I can taste the alcohol. Before things can move forward, I break the kiss and settle back into my seat.
He moves next to me a heartbeat later.
Hands slip under my shirt and knead at the flesh of my lower back as lips attack mine once again. I gasp into the kiss when he walks between my legs and rubs our erections together. I wrap my legs around his hips and pull us even closer together. A moan rumbles from his chest and vibrates against mine.
“If you’re going to do that, go to the bedroom.” I pull back from Roy and feel heat rise to my cheeks.
Katsu raises an eyebrow at us, waiting.
“Damn, Kats, you sure do know how to ruin the mood.”
“Do forgive me then.”
Roy rolls his eyes and untangles me from him. He grabs my wrist and pulls me along to the bedroom. The second we enter it, he slams the door and presses me up against it. I wrap my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist. His lips press against my neck as his hands work on undoing our pants. He frees our erections and wraps one hand around them, the other goes to my ass to hold me more easily. I move one of my hands from his neck and join his at our erections. We move them in time with one another and I throw my head back as his thumb rubs against the leaking head of my length. The hand holding my ass moves slightly and a finger presses slowly into me.
“S-stop!” I pull his head back from me by his hair.
“What?” He glares at me.
“You are not taking me dry.” I glare back at him.
I have to admit, he looks good like this. His cheeks flushed, grey eyes darkened in irritated desire, hair ruffled by sleep and my hands.
He breaks off all contact from me, almost making me fall, and kneels down before me. A second later, he takes me in whole. I cry out in pleasure as he swallows around me. The finger presses into me again all the way and hits my prostate on the first try. I shudder as I spill myself into his mouth and my fingers spasm where they’re clenched on his shoulders. He pulls back and I slip from his mouth before slowly falling to the floor before him.
“See, that wasn’t so bad.” He smirks at me and leans forward, pressing a kiss to my lips.
I reach out between us and wrap my fingers around his erection now. He groans against my mouth as I quickly get him off. It doesn’t take long. He comes on my stomach and chest and slumps lazily against me.
“You’re lucky my headache is coming back or else I’d take you right here, right now.”
“Then next time don’t do something as stupid as saving my life.”
He pulls back from me and frowns. Before I can ask him why he’s looking at me like that, he wraps his arms around me and pulls me up against his chest.
“I don’t ever wanna hear you say something like that again.”
I don’t know how to respond to that.
