Some Thoughts and Explorations
Hello all! Short chapter here, just some conversation and thought for the characters, a little development, and some insight into the crazy little episode from the night before. I pretty much just breezed through this one, adding it to advance the characters and trying to set up my next encounter. Not sure where things will go yet, I totally am more than open to suggestions/feedback, so please speak your mind and review! Anywho, as always, I hope you enjoy it! I can't wait to see what happens next!

CHAPTER 5 - Some Thoughts and Explorations
The next morning everyone was a little slow to rise; it had been quite a party the night before, and everyone had been to bed pretty late. After the day had started moving, and breakfast had come and gone already, people naturally started talking about the night before… and there were a few rumors floating around. There were more than a few questions about Tiger and Brandon; did they or didn’t they? Everyone wanted to know, and Bud was more than a little perturbed about the speculation… it was no secret he and Tiger had been dating the last year of camp. Bud was annoyed, but managed pretty well not to show it… besides, he figured there were other fish in the sea. More specifically, he was thinking of Jen… she was single this year, and definitely worth the trouble to look into. The pretty brunette was shy, quite, and exuberant all at once somehow… a fascinating combination of traits. Her body was incredible, and she would be a great lay… somehow in spite of her demeanor it seemed like she would be a freak in the sack, and that was an inviting thought. Now Bud was a good guy, but his intentions for Jen were a little les honorable… if he could convince her to date him that would be great… but he would settle for sex if that was all he could get from her…
Jacob was thinking about Jen himself, his heart still fluttering from their meeting last night. There were so many mysteries about her he wanted to explore, and he found her utterly captivating in a way that completely took him by surprise. He would be sure to keep talking to her when he could, and he found himself looking forward to doing so as soon as possible. His mind wandering, he had missed his friend trying to get his attention.
“Hey, you in there or should somebody put a vacancy sign on your forehead?” Brandon asked.
Jacob started, wrenched from his thoughts.
“Oh, sorry, I’m just tired is all… stayed up way later than I should have last night.” He replied.
“That’s funny… ‘cause I figured you were the guy who skipped out on the whole thing last night.” Brandon teased back.
“Really? Rumor has it you did too.”
Brandon had been caught by that last remark. “Well, I was there for an hour or so…” He started, trailing off.
“Brandon.”
“Yeah?”
“Hey, look… if you don’t mind my asking, what’s the truth about last night?”
Brandon swallowed hard; Jacob was his best friend, but he didn’t want to break his promise to Tiger. He decided not to tell him.
“Nothing happened.” He lied. “What were you doing last night, anyway?”
“I was in the health lodge talking to Jen.”
“Oh, it’s Jen now?”
“Look, she a great person, and we just talked for a while… I think we could be friends.” Jacob replied; it was the truth, after all… well, half of it, anyway.
“That’s not really what you want though, is it?”
“Brandon…”
“Don’t give me that crap Jake, you can’t hold on to Jasmine forever, and who knows… maybe this Jennifer girl is just what the doctor ordered.”
“Hey, she’s just a nice girl, OK?”
Jacob changed the subject to camp programs for next week, and tried to get Jennifer off his mind… all the same, he did kind of like her, and he did really want to see her again soon.
Tiger couldn’t get last night off her mind. Her encounter with Brandon had been very uncharacteristic of her; she NEVER threw herself at boys, and Brandon was nearly a complete stranger… she had never been compelled to have sex with a stranger before. She quickly realized she had reaped a whirlwind of confusion… had she done it to piss Bud off and make him jealous? Was she really that turned on by Brandon and his quasi geeky/cute personality? Was she really just horny, or did she need something deeper? She had no idea whatsoever… answers completely eluded her, and she didn’t get why she had done it last night. Even so, it had been wonderful… Tiger hadn’t been with a guy since Bud last summer, and she had loved every minute of last night’s steamy rendezvous. These thoughts bugged her as she walked into the girl’s cabin; once inside she heard somebody humming cheerfully in her room… the voice belonged to Jennifer. Jen and Tiger were close friends now… they had become so last summer when Jen started opening up to some of the staff. Actually, Tiger was probably the best friend Jennifer had at camp, and Tiger was very glad to hear to see her in such a bright mood.
“Hey girl, why the happy song?” The red head asked her friend.
Jennifer ceased her humming and looked up from her book, wide eyed but with a pleasant look on her face.
“Oh, hey Tiger.” She said, “what’s up?”
Jen’s remarkable maturity coupled with her playful innocence and wholesomeness made her such a joy to be around, Tiger swore sometimes the little brunette even turned her on… actually, it was probably best if she didn’t explore that thought… Tiger smiled at her friend.
“Not much, really… but hey aren’t you dodging my question?” Tiger giggled.
Her laugh was contagious, and Jen found herself breaking out into an even bigger smile.
“Oh, just happy! I got a lot of paperwork done last night, and I think everything is pretty much organized and ready for camp next week! So, I’m reading a book, and relaxing… which is kinda awesome actually.”
Jen was just too cute! Tiger couldn’t help herself, but she wasn’t about to make her friend a sex object, and besides, she didn’t swing that way…
“So, what book are you reading then?” She asked innocently.
“Pride and Prejudice, it’s probably one of my very favorite books!”
Tiger decided to share with her friend, and made up her mind to share last night’s activities…
“Mind if I sit next too you?”
“Sure!” Jennifer replied with a friendly smile.
The two girls sat there for some time, talking and laughing and sharing… it was a wonderful time for both of them, and Tiger was glad for Jen’s being there. The two girls laughed and talked for what felt like forever, and when there was nothing more to tell they just sat together, enjoying their nearness and the pleasure their friendship brought.
