7:13pm - Birthday
I'm outside right now. Ryan is messing with my hair. Strangely I like it. I'm watching Sara play basketball with the other girls. She's good. Maybe she played for a team before coming here. I've never gotten into that sport.
I slept all morning. I woke up at 1. I stood and walked out since I didn't see Sara on her cot. Myra ran up to me. "We need another player. Do you want to play Kylienna?" I asked what we were playing. Nicole came up behind her. "We're playing Spades." Spades is a card game that is almost the opposite of hearts. In the case of spades, you want the most cards and a spade beats anything. I didn't really want to play, but they said Chastity was hanging out with Megan. I stayed for three games and won all of them. I decided to see Greg.
His door was closed, so I knocked. He opened it and smiled at me then pulled me in. He picked me up and sat me on the table. I asked what was up but he put his finger to my mouth telling me to hush. Then he put a blindfold over my eyes. That's when I got scared, but he said that everything was fine and to calm down. He wasn't going to do anything. And he didn't. "I have something for you, but you have to guess what it is first." He touched my wrist and brought out my hand. He placed something there. I ran my fingers over it. It was a brush. He took the blindfold off, and I smiled looking down at it. "You have beautiful hair, but it's even prettier when it's brushed through." I hugged him. Afterall, it wasn't just a normal hairbrush. This one was a pretty lilac and it had butterflies hand-painted on the handle. It's lovely. He said it was a gift, from all of them, for my birthday. My eyes went wide. That's right. Today I turned 16.
I'm just sitting here with Ryan still trying to figure out how to frenchbraid my hair. Jason said that it would look pretty. I must say, for once, he does seem to have a lot of patience. We'll all go inside at 7. That's in 17 minutes. It's been nice sitting out here for a while though. Brad was pushing Nicole, Sara and me on the swings earlier. The wind was nice.
I can't believe that Sunday is almost over. I don't want it to be over yet. There is still a little over 11 hours left, but it just seems like it has gone by so fast. We have to be in bed by 10 so we're ready for in the morning. That leaves a little over 3 hours. We'll watch a movie or maybe play a video game. Time passes when you're having fun. I wish that saying wasn't true. Unfortunately, it is.

Back inside now. Ryan never figured out how to do my hair. He said that he gave up. I smiled and he just pat my head. Jason is setting a movie up in the back room. I think it's The Jungle Book. There was a commercial on about it last Sunday and Haley said that she used to love that movie when she was younger. Jason said he would rent it for us. I don't really feel like watching a movie. I don't feel like doing anything but writing.
Ryan is looking at me again. I should probably find something else to do before he gives me something to do. I'd rather have a choice.
