Chapter 4

This chapter isn;t very exciting, but it will be soon.

Chapter 4

The drive home was tense and seemed to go by far too quickly.  I changed my shirt to a black sweater that was in my car and hide the other under the seat.  I fix the eyeliner on my eyes and smoke a cigarette on the way to the house.  I’m hoping Aiden has no clue that I’ve been with someone else.  When I enter the house my heart is beating dangerously fast.  I go immediately to the refrigerator and begin putting out ingredients for the meal.  Aiden walks into the kitchen while I’m cutting the peppers.  I try not to tense when his arms wrap around me and he presses against me.

“I missed you.”  He says huskily in my ear.

“I missed you too.”  I stop cutting when Aiden’s hands are unbuttoning my pants.

“I want to fuck you.”  He’s kissing my neck as his hands slide under my boxers.

“Aiden, Jimmy could arrive any minute.”  I state hoping that I don’t have to deal with this while my thoughts are on another.

“Let him watch.”  He responds while his hand strokes me.  I can feel his fingers tracing my entrance.  The doorbell rings to my benefit and Aiden swears softly before stepping away from me.

“Get dinner started.”  He mutters angrily before kissing me roughly.  I put my pants back together before continuing to prepare dinner.  I strain my ears to hear the conversation in the hall but I can make out very little.  I’m straining the noodles when Aiden comes into the kitchen.

“Jimmy seems very interested in you Johnny.”  Aiden’s voice is low.  I keep quiet, pour the sauce into a bowl, and separate the pasta onto the plates.  I place the sautéed vegetables before going to the oven.  I can feel his eyes on me as I gather the bread.  By the time I’ve finished gathering the plates I’ve realize that Aiden is no longer in the room.  When I enter the dinner room I notice Jimmy is sitting alone at the table.

“Dinner smells great.”  I nod to him and set the table.  I know when Aiden brings clients home I’m to remain quiet, just something nice to look at.  I still remember the embarrassment of Aiden having me wear only an apron for a group of his rich contacts to gawk at.  No one was allowed to touch me, just look.  He stopped having me entertain his clients when one actually attempted more than a slap on my ass.  Company has not been allowed in the house, aside from the help, Scarlett and Aiden’s father.  I couldn’t help but wonder what he was up to.  I sit down at the seat closest to Aiden’s and wait to eat.  I can feel Jimmy’s eyes on me but I refuse to look his way.  I’m well aware that Aiden could be watching us.

“Johnny.”  He says in a whisper.  I look at him with pleading eyes, begging him not to speak.  He nods and takes out a piece of paper and pen from his pocket.  I see him scribble something down before excusing himself to use the restroom.  He slips the paper under my hand before leaving the room.  I look around the room then open the paper under the table.  I feel my cheeks redden when I see messy scrawl with his phone number and messenger name.  I slip it deep into my pocket.  Both of them enter the room moments later and I sit there, eyes trained on the center of the table.  I wait for Aiden to eat.

“Thank you for cooking.”  Jimmy spoke through the silence.  I can feel both his and Aiden’s eyes on me.  I nod in response, making brief eye contact.  I feel like Aiden is suspicious and aware of Jimmy’s attraction to me.  All I can do is not show interest in him.  I put my hand on Aiden’s thigh when he starts eating.  He pauses briefly but only when my hand trails farther up his thigh.  I take a sip of wine and start eating with my other hand.

“So Johnny, what did you do today?”  Aiden asks and I dab my mouth with a napkin to think of what to say.  The only place he doesn’t go is my bedroom, except on rare occasions, so that seemed the best to work with.

“I organized my bedroom and visited my mother’s grave.”  I know if I said something art related he would want to see it.  He looks through my art daily.  I sometimes wonder if the only thing he loves is my art.  His own personal artist that he can fuck and keep as a toy. I know of course that he keeps me for my body and my face.  Some say I’m almost doll-like.  I have enough sharpness to my nose and cheeks to not be too feminine.  It makes me wonder what he'll do with me when I'm aged.

“Lovely.” Aiden says as his hand pushes mine into his pants and I wrap my fingers around him.  I can feel Jimmy’s eyes on me and I feel guilty.

“Dinner is great Johnny.”  Jimmy speaks and tries to make eye contact.  I keep my eyes on my food as I slowly stoke Aiden under the table.  I know that I must please him if I wish to see Jimmy again.  I still don’t know what he’s planning.

“So Aiden, do you have a schedule for me to look at.  I have an idea where we are touring but not when.”  Jimmy’s eyes shift away from mine.  Aiden’s hand caresses my hand before pulling both of them away.  He holds my hand for a moment before breaking contact.  I’m relieved.

“You’ll be touring from December 12th to March 3rdh.”  Aiden says, handing him a small scheduler.

“Thank you for giving us the days around Christmas off.  Elizabeth and Tony will be pleased.”  Jimmy comments flipping through the pages. “We can work with this.”  Jimmy states, placing the book aside.  He glances at me then quickly looks away.  Aiden hands Jimmy a business card.

“I’m going to be unavailable December 11, tomorrow, until January 20th.  If you have any questions during that time you should contact my V.P. Eric.”  I look at Aiden with confusion.  This was the first time I’d heard of this.

“If you find yourself with no choice but to call me ask my secretary how to get a hold of me.”

“Alright, I guess I’ll see you in April when we start the album.”

“Yes, now pardon me I have arrangements to make.  Johnny, give him a tour of the house. If you need me you can find me in my office.”  He kisses me briefly and leaves us alone in the room once more.  I still couldn’t help but think back to Jimmy’s early questions.  Would I leave Aiden? The answer seemed to be making its way to yes.

“Johnny, would you be willing to show me where you store your art.”  Jimmy looks to the corners of the room for listening or video devices.  There are very few rooms without his watchful eyes one being my studio, another his bedroom and the third floor. The third floor is what used to be servants quarters and now serves as guest space.  He uses the three guest houses as homes for his staff and keeps them camera free.

“Well this is the dining room.  All the furnishings are handmade and nearly 200 years old.”  He follows me through the kitchen and his eyes take in the dark marble and cherry wood.  He follows me closely through the hall, his eyes looking at the paintings lining the walls.  Each room in this home screams money, particularly the library which has the most cameras in the house, and Aiden is proud of the houses every inch.  When we enter my studio he gasps loudly.  There are half a dozen easels, a washing sink, and more supplies than your average art store.  His eyes though are looking intently on the painting I’ve been working on for years.  It’s more than 13 feet wide and 7 tall.  The entire piece is a battle scene with all manner of creatures in battle.  Blood litters the painting.  In the very center is a man with the resemblance of Aiden, untouched from the bloody madness.  He wears a red velvet cape, each fold painted to realistic perfection.  A young man kneels at his feet, his face mostly hidden by hair.  He wears nothing but his own blood.

“Johnny, your work is amazing.”  He moves closer to the painting.  “This one though is perfection.  The detail is beautiful”.  I can see that his looking at the image of me, with my bleeding scars.  I wonder what he’d think of my marks.  He starts moving closer to me but he stops and back away quickly.  I’m about to ask what’s wrong when Aiden walks through the room.  Did he somehow hear him coming?

“Jimmy, may I speak with you a moment.”  Aiden ask, not even glancing my way.  Jimmy nods and follows him out of the room.  I try in vain to hear their conversation, but the doors are far too thick.   I decide to log on to my messenger and add Jimmy.  After an hour has passed I assume Jimmy has left and Aiden may have gone to sleep.  I glanced at the clock, 10:13.  I sighed deeply, reaching to turn off my monitor when a window pops up with Jimmy’s screen name.

LostSoul:  Miss me?

My heart quickens and I look at the door.  I quickly log off and turn of my computer.  I walk to the hall to Aiden’s room and knock on the door lightly.  I hear his voice so I enter his room slowly.  He is lying on his bed, book in hand.  I'm sure he's naked under the covers.

“Yes?”  He said, his eyes never leaving his book.

“Where are you going for a month?”  I ask as I sit on the end of his bed.  He sighs and puts his book down.

“I’m taking care of my father’s business for 3 weeks for his vacation.  Apparently I’m still the considered the vice president.  ” He picks his book up again, though his eyes are still on me. I can't help but wonder what he's doing in the other week.

“Will you be back for Christmas or my birthday?”  I ask, though I know the answer.

“Johnny, I cannot plan around what you need.  If you wish you may invite your brother and sister to spend time up here.  I will expect them to be gone before I arrive home.”

“Could I please sleep here tonight?”  I ask, not looking him.

“No.  I will wake you before I leave tomorrow.”  His eyes go back to his book making it clear that he was no longer interested in conversation. I watch him for a moment more before I leave the room and go to my bed.  Just as I’m about to fall asleep Aiden makes his way into my bed.  He wraps his arms around me as sleep hit me.
