Chapter 5
Chapter 5
It was Monday and Matt was back at work, hands tangled in his hair, leaning back in his chair staring at the ceiling as he silently berated his self once again for his actions on Friday. He heard a knock at his office door and swiveled the chair around to see Mallory standing in the doorway, carrying an amused expression.
“You okay?” He asked, glancing at Matt’s hands, which were still tangled in his hair. Matt finally lowered his arms, but didn’t respond to the question. “I saw Sara on my way in, she said you had a date with your mystery white haired man on Friday, how’d it go?” His tone was hopeful, but after the look Matt shot him, a frowned. “That bad, huh?”
Matt groaned, “You could say that.”
“What happened?” Mallory asked, taking the extra seat in the office. “Did you guys not hit it off or something?”
“No… The beginning of the date was fine. We went to a nice restaurant, and to a bar with this really great band, then we headed back to his car and umm…”
“Got busy?” Mallory supplied helpfully. He grinned when Matt blushed; it was just so easy to tease the brunette. “And let me guess, he then offered you a ride home, you freaked and then bolted.” He asked, frowning and crossing his arms. Matt’s head hung forward and ran his hands through his hair again. “…yeah.” He mumbled, not looking up.
Mallory sighed, “So, now what’re going to do?” Matt made a shrugging motion, “I don’t know, all I know is his name and that he works with some clients here. I’d go ask the receptionist but I don’t think my bosses would be too happy about me trying to hook up with one of their associates.”
Matt finally looked up when he heard a light knock on the doorframe, “Hey Matt, sorry to bust in but I just got a pretty angry phone call from the receptionist, she’s says your lines all tied up.” Sara asked, before noticing the rather pathetic state Matt was in. “Are you okay? You don’t look so good.”
“I’ve been better. What were saying about that ugly old buzzard?” Matt asked, sitting up straight in his chair.
Sara smirked at Matt’s choice of words, “That ‘ugly old buzzard’ just got done reaming me over the phone because your line is busy, and she’s been trying to get through to you for about five minutes.”
“Really? I haven’t touched my phone all day…” Matt swiveled his chair around to look at his desk, “Though… I might have accidentally knocked it off its cradle.” He said this sheepishly, because the entire desk was a stack of papers and computer disks with only a small spot cleared for his mouse to move.
“Is there even desk under all that mess?” Mallory jeered behind him. Matt looked back to frown at the red head before turning his attention back to his ‘desk’. He stood and began shifting the papers and moving cds, not having any luck in his search until Sara came over to help him. “Jesus, Matt. There’s memos in here from three weeks ago.”
“I know, I know. Just keep digging." Matt said crossly, “I know it’s around here somewhere…. Aha!” He pronounced triumphantly, unearthing the phone that was sure enough lying off to the side of the cradle. The second he hung the phone back up it rang, causing him to jump in surprised.
Picking the phone back up, he said timidly, “Hello?”
“Well, it is about time. If this ever happen again Mr. Whishing I will make sure to inform the Creative Director!” Came the sharp voice of the receptionist, one Abigail Winsler.
“Sorry about that Mrs. Wins-“ *click*
Matt blinked and pulled the phone away from his ear.
“What’s up, Matt?” Mallory asked curiously, now spinning his chair around bored from the inactivity.
“I… I think she just hung up on me.” Matt replied, Mallory busted up laughing, “Man, Matt, you sure are great with the ladies.”
Matt glared at Mallory before turning to hang up the phone once again, pausing when he heard a small hello from the earpiece. He raised the phone back up to his ear, “Umm, hello?” he asked into the receiver, not quite sure if he had heard something or not.
“Matthew?”
“T-Tobias?”
Mallory stopped his spinning and looked over, curious. Sara leaned down, whispering something in his ear, to which Mallory nodded in understanding, now smirking over at Matt. His attention however was switched back to the phone when he heard Tobias laugh, “Yeah, it’s me. I was hoping that she’d be able to patch me through.”
It now occurred to Matt that the click wasn’t of Mrs. Winsler hanging up on him, but her switching him over. He was glad he hadn’t hung up right away now, because he didn’t want to hear her berate him about it, which she would, for at least five minutes.
“Uh… yeah, that’s great…” Matt said, sounding dumb even to him, he sat back down in his chair and propped his arm on the desk, hand once more tangled in his hair.
“I was wondering if you would mind accompanying me to lunch today, since our date ended so abruptly Friday…” Matt’s face flushed. “… and because I was never able to return your phone to you."
“O-oh, uh, sorry, but I’ve already got plans to go out with Mall-“ Matt was cut off mid-sentence when the phone was snatched from his hand. He turned around to see Mallory with the phone, winking at Matt.
“Hey, Snowball!” He announced into the phone, dancing out of Matt’s reach when he tried to get the phone back. Matt suddenly felt a hand on each shoulder pulling him back into his chair. He looked up to see Sara grinning at him, “What are you doing?!” he hissed.
“Helping you, now shush.”
Matt glared up at her before looking back at Mallory, who was currently perched at the end of his desk; phone in hand and with a smile even more wicked than Sara’s.
“Oh, me? I’m Matt’s friend, Mallory. Yeah, the one he has a lunch date with.” Matt could Tobias say something in return before Mallory laughed, “Oh, no… We aren’t romantically involved; he’s just a little to short for me.” Mallory glanced over at Matt and grinned at him, who glared in return.
“Well, actually, I wanted to tell you that Matt is going to be available for lunch today. Yeah, I just got a call from the morgue, and my, uh… aunt, just was involved in a very serious accident. So I need to go and identify the body now.” Mallory winked at Matt, who was now sitting with his mouth agape at the truly horrible lie. “Oh yes, it’s all very tragic, I’m going to miss my aunt… uh, Sandy so much.”
Mallory was silent for a while, listening to the man on the other end of the phone, before nodding in agreement, “Alright, I’ll tell. It was a pleasure talking to you as well.” Mallory stood up, slapped the phone back down on the receiver and grinned triumphantly. “He’ll be here in about five minutes to pick you up.”
“You’re terrible at lying, you know that?” Matt said with a slight smirk. “And Snowball? Really? That’s the best nickname you could come up with?”
“Well it fits, doesn’t it? I mean he does have snow ba-“
“Alright, alright… I get it, sorry I asked.” Matt raised his hands up in a stopping motion.
“So, Mal, you coming out with me and the girls for lunch, now?” Sara asked walking over and linking arms with Mallory.
“I believe I am.” They walked over to the door like that, talking about where to go to eat. “Have fun on your date, Matt. And make sure to call me once you retrieve your phone.” Mallory said over his shoulder as they walked out the door and down the hall.
Reclining back in his seat to look up at the ceiling, Matt sighed. Dealing with Mallory was like handling on monkey on crack, and when Sara was combined into the mix just makes it that much worse. He wasn’t sure how long he was like that, but soon enough he heard a soft knock at his door, looking down to see Tobias standing there.
“Hey,” Tobias frowned, “you alright?”
“You know, you’re the third one to ask me that today. Actually you’re the third to ask me in the past 10 minutes.” Matt said, standing up, “And, yes, I’m fine, just exhausted from dealing with the human cyclone.”
“I’m guessing you mean the man I was talked with, um, Mallory, I believe? Yes, he definitely has a… presence… about him, even over the phone.” Tobias smirked a bit, before walking into the small office. “So, are you ready to go?”
“Uh, yeah, let me just shut down my computer real quick and we can head out.” Matt turned the chair around and hit the sleep button on the front of his computer. “Alright let’s go.”
They headed down the hallway side-by-side, though Matt was kind of glad Tobias didn’t put an arm around his waist like he was Friday, PDA in the office was rather unacceptable. When walking by the front desk Matt ducked his head so as not to catch the glare that he knew Mrs. Winsler was currently sending his way.
“Matt?”
Matt turned to see who had called his name only to see Rob, his boss, and Edward Cosip, one of the co-owners of the company, standing at the reception desk, both looking slightly confused and glancing between Matt and Tobias.
“Oh, hey Rob, Mr. Cosip.” Matt said, nodding his head in their direction, suddenly nervous.
Mr. Cosip nodded in return but frowned, still looking between Matt and Tobias. The man always made Matt stand on edge, not just because he was one of the owners of the company, but also just a presence around him, like a drill sergeant. Which is kind of what he looked like, with a shaved head and heavily muscled body, even at the age of forty something he still looked like he could take on an army. Rob however looked exactly opposite, while he was lacking in the hair department as well, his was accidental, and he had a spare tire around the middle. And while he didn’t look as upset as Mr. Cosip did, he still didn’t seem happy with what he was seeing.
“Hey Matt, umm, what’s up?” Rob asked, he smiled though it didn’t reach his eyes.
“Just going to lunch, Rob. Why, something wrong?” Matt knew what was wrong; some one that brought in high profile clients walking out with one of their lowly coders wasn’t something that happened regularly. Not if they could help it at least.
“No… I didn’t realize you and Mr. Oshiro knew each other is all.”
“Uhmm…” Matt floundered, how could he explain without
“We met at the meeting, last Friday. And I know of a designer who needs someone to code a few websites for him, Matt was kind enough to help out.” Tobias lied easily, smiling at the two men. “Pro Bono(1), of course.”
“Oh, really. Well that’s nice of you Matt. And here I was worried that our best programmer was shopping for a new job.” Rob said with an uneasy laugh.
Matt laughed slightly, “No, I’m not going anywhere… Well, we should get going, you know, time’s a wasting and all that.”
The two older men nodded and the two younger males excused themselves. Matt frowned when he glanced back and saw both Rob and Mr. Cosip speaking with Mrs. Winsler, who kept glancing their way wearing a strange look.
“So, where are we going anyways?” Matt asked once they were outside.
“Just a little deli I know of.” Now that they were out of sight from where Matt’s bosses were at, Tobias wrapped an arm around Matt’s shoulders.
“Let me guess, another place that looks like it’s a gangster’s hide out but is actually really nice.” Matt looked skeptically up at Tobias as they made their way down the street.
Tobias laughed, “No, sorry. This one truly looks like a deli.”
“Wow, really? And here I thought those were the only places you knew.” Matt said sarcastically. Tobias smirked before directing them down another street.
“We’re not taking your car?” Matt asked, noticing that they had passed it sitting on the opposite side of the street.
“No, the deli’s only about a block from here.”
“Ah.” Matt replied, before berating his self to say something more interesting than just ‘ah’. But instead of saying anything they walked along in an uncomfortable silence for a few moments, at least uncomfortable in Matt’s view.
“Are you sure you’re alright?” Tobias asked, glancing down at Matt, who nodded in return. “Yeah, I’m fine. Why do you ask?”
“You really tense. We don’t have to go to lunch if you’re not comfortable with it.”
“I’m not tense.” Matt protested, but Tobias looked at him skeptically. The arm around Matt’s shoulders tightened a bit, “You feel so tense I’m afraid that if I let go your going to take off like a rocket.”
“Oh, well, it’s just…” Matt sighed, “You’re not upset, are you? About Friday night?”
“Upset? No, why?” Tobias asked, quirking an eyebrow.
“Um, because I ran away like you had the plague or something without any explanation what-so-ever. Most people would be a little perturbed by that.”
Tobias laughed lightly, “Yes, well, I’m sure you had your own reasons.”
“And you’re not going to bug me about telling you why I ran off?” Matt asked suspiciously, though Tobias only shrugged in response.
“Eventually you might tell me, but right now if it’s uncomfortable for you, I don’t need know.” He smiled softly at Matt, before looking back in front of them, “Ah, we’re here.”
Matt sudden warmth erupt in his chest when Tobias smiled at him, he had been dreading meeting up with the other, afraid that he would be angry or ask tons of questions about that night. The relief that Tobias would wait for him to explain was… refreshing, to say the least. He looked forward to see where Tobias had lead them, and was glad to see that he had kept his word, for the small deli looked exactly what it was. With its large front window sporting a wide collection of cheeses and brightly colored awning, it would’ve looked more at home in a small country town, not on the side of a busy city street.
Once inside he saw that the deli had kept with the quaint motif, only a few tables and chairs along the right wall, while the rest of the room was taken up with the large counter top and the actual deli area behind it. A kid only a few years younger than Matt stood behind the counter top flashing them a toothy grin as they entered, while a slightly portly older woman worked behind him, slicing and cutting up meat on the different machines.
“Afternoon fellas, what can I get you?” The boy asked when they approached the counter. They both ordered but as Matt reached for his own wallet Tobias had already placed his own money on the counter. “What are you doing?”
Tobias raised an eyebrow at him, “Paying, why?”
“No, you paid for everything Friday night, I’m getting this.” Matt argued, pulling out his wallet and getting out the required amount. But Tobias stopped him before he could, “That may be true, but as I said Friday, since I asked you out, that means I will pay.”
Matt was about to argue back, when he realized that a line had now formed behind them, and both of them were receiving quite a bit of impatient glares. “Alright, fine.” He said in defeat, wanting to get out of the line before the hungry crowd grew savage.
Tobias smiled, finished the transaction and they moved off to the side until their order was up, which was only a couple minutes. Finding a seat at the back of the deli that sat down and began eating, silent for a couple minutes.
“Oh, before I forget, here.” Tobias said suddenly, pulling out a cell phone from his back pocket, his cell phone, Matt noticed. He passed across the table and Matt picked it up, noticing immediately that it was off. “Sorry, it died yesterday, I would’ve charged it but my phone has a different plug in.”
Matt shrugged, “Don’t worry about, I always forget to charge it so it wouldn’t be the first time.” He pocketed the dead phone, “You do realize that now you have no collateral for our dates anymore, don’t you?”
“Well, then I guess I’ll just have to rely on my good looks and charm to get another date, won’t I?” Tobias said with a smile.
“I don’t know… You might have a hard time with that…” Matt said in a mock serious tone, before flashing a smile of his own. Tobias acted as if hurt, though his eyes glittered with mirth.
“Though, I do believe you have something of mine…” Tobias said slowly. Matt looked confused before it finally hit him, “Oh, you’re shirt! I completely forgot about it.”
Tobias chuckled, “So it looks like I still have one date to cash in on.”
“Yeah, yeah… You got off lucky this time.” Matt grumbled as Tobias flashed him another grin.
“Let’s see, how about we try Friday night again, this time a movie?” Tobias asked.
Matt shrugged again, “Sure, that sounds great. Do you have anything in mind?”
“I figured we could meet at the theater and decide something then. Do you know of the theater at Haven? Perhaps we could go there.”
“Yeah, my apartment’s is pretty close to there actually.” Matt replied, “When do you want to meet?”
“Would seven be alright?”
Matt nodded, “Alright.” He smiled slightly, before starting in on his meal again, thankful that had gotten sandwiches this time, so at least it he didn’t have to worry about it going cold. They ate in silence again until Matt happened to glance over at the clock on the wall and froze.
“Oh… shit.” Matt muttered, standing up suddenly.
“Something wrong?” Tobias asked, standing as well and gathering they’re plates.
“Ah, yeah, my lunch break ended about five minutes ago.” He looked frantic, patting his pockets to make sure he wasn’t forgetting anything. Tobias, however, calmly walked over to the trash with their plates, before heading over to the door, holding it open as Matt almost ran past. Though he hooked an arm in the smaller male’s elbow, stopping him from running down the street.
Matt looked back at him bewildered, “Tobias, wha-”
“I’m sure you won’t get fired if you’re a few minutes late, especially when you were in at lunch ‘meeting’ with me.” Tobias said with knowing smile, know walking beside him back towards the office building.
Now over the panic that had first gripped him when he saw the time, Matt smirked, “Ah, so you’re saying they’ll do anything to keep you happy, is that it?”
“I think all the way up to killing a man if I so deem.” Tobias returned, still smiling. Even though they were only joking, Matt knew there was a kernel of truth to it all. He could tell that Tobias probably had a lot of good connections, and if they pissed him off, that would in turn give them a bad reputation. And in the advertising world, your reputation is more important than how much talent you have.
They walked side by side for almost the whole way back; Tobias still had his arm hooked with Matt’s, making the smaller male feel like a prom date or something. Right before they turned the final corner Tobias pulled Matt to a stop, causing Matt to look up in slight confusion.
“What’s u-“ Matt was cut off suddenly when Tobias leaned down and captured his mouth in a light kiss. He stood stunned for a couple seconds until he responded, tilting his head up and opening his mouth slightly, immediately feeling Tobias’s tongue slide into his mouth, deepening the kiss. He could feel a hand snake around his waist, as another cupped his neck slightly, angling his head even further. Completely losing touch with his surrounding, Matt wrapped his arms around Tobias’s neck, pulling him farther down, loving the approving moan that came from the other man.
He was numbly aware of the sensation of moving, only realizing when his back felt something solid that Tobias had moved them against the wall of the closest building. When he felt the hand around his was dip lower, palming one of his cheeks Matt jumped and yelped. Pulling his head back, he glared up at those ice blue eyes.
“Sorry, had to get as much as I could before we got back to your office.” Tobias said, though he definitely didn’t look sorry.
Matt continued to glare up at him, “No, you just wanted to grab my ass.”
Tobias grinned, “Well, that too.”
Rolling his eyes, Matt pushed on Tobias shoulders so he could finally step away from the wall. He just then noticed the numerous looks they were getting from everyone else on the street. He could feel his face burning as he realized the show the two of them had just put on, and when Tobias stepped up behind him and slipped an arm around his waist, he jumped.
“I, uh, I need to get back, so…” Matt stuttered, hating how easy he still became flustered around the white haired male.
Tobias, however, seemed to like it, for his grin only seemed to widen more. “So, let’s head back.”
“Y-yeah.” Matt nodded, and they made they’re way around the corner. When they were within eyesight of the building Tobias released his waist, winking at Matt as he did so. They both received an icy glare from Mrs. Winsler, and Matt had to fight back the urge to laugh when Tobias smiled and winked at the receptionist, who only seemed to frown even more, if that was even possible.
Once they were back in his office Tobias pulled him close again, “You have no idea how much I want to continue where we left off.” There was a heavy seductive tone in his voice that made Matt shiver, but he pulled away from Tobias.
“That’d sound great but,” he nodded towards the large window that faced into hallway, “Privacy really isn’t an option here.”
Smirking, Tobias walked over to the window and, finding the cord that operated the blinds, pulled them close.
“Tobias…” Matt said in a warning tone as the other approached him again, still smirking.
“I promise, just a kiss. Alright?” Tobias asked, raising his hand in the Boy Scout symbol. When Matt nodded hesitantly, Tobias grinned, now completely closing the gap between them and leaning down to kiss him again.
He might’ve acted hesitant and unwilling; Matt was actually thrilled, quickly wrapping his arms around Tobias’s neck again. He could feel more than hear the other chuckle into their kiss, before feeling that roaming hand once again on his behind. Well, he did say he wanted to continue where we left off. Matt thought dryly to himself.
When he felt Tobias pull back slightly, pulling Matt with him, he allowed his self to be steered across the room, not really caring anymore that they were in his office and anyone could walk in at anytime. Briefly he wondered where exactly he was being directed to when suddenly Tobias withdrew, giving Matt a second to look confused before getting tugged down to straddle the other’s lap, facing each other. It only took a short moment to realize they were now sitting in his office chair, which Matt was glad that it didn’t have armrests, or he’d be extremely uncomfortable right now.
He looked back at Tobias with a slightly amused expression, “What happened to just one kiss?”
“I lied.” Tobias replied, before leaning up and cupping a hand behind Matt’s neck, pulling him down into another kiss. Matt smiled into the kiss before wrapping one hand behind Tobias’s neck and tangling the other in his hair, drawing them even closer together. He gasped when a hand slid between them and under his shirt, moving to tease a nipple. Matt felt another chuckle from Tobias and purposely rolled his hips forward, eliciting a moan from the white haired man.
Their kiss broke apart as Tobias started a path of small nips and kisses along Matt’s jaw line and down to the curve of his neck. Moving his head to the side to give the other more access, panting slightly at the intensity of it all. Tobias picked up where Matt had left off with that one roll of the hips and now they were rocking against each other, relishing in the feel of their groins moving along one another, even through the layers of clothes. When Tobias’s mouth reached the collar of his shirt, Matt could hear the man make a sound of displeasure before feeling hands at the bottom of his shirt, pulling at it. He leaned back so it could be hoisted over his head, knowing somewhere in the back of his mind that he shouldn’t be taking his shirt off, but not really caring, especially when that hot mouth continued its path down his neck and chest.
“T-Tobias… ah!” He gasped as Tobias flicked his tongue skillfully against his neck, making an approving noise at the back of his throat.
He brought his hands up and began to pull at Tobias’s necktie, wanting to feel the other man’s smooth skin under fingertips. Tobias allowed him to pull it over his head before they met back together this time in an intense kiss. Matt could feel the other’s hands roaming over his chest and back, caressing and teasing him lightly as his own hands worked at the buttons of Tobias’s shirt. He had half of them undone when a soft knocking made them both freeze. Matt scrambled to free himself from the other’s lap as the door began to open, but his leg caught on the bar underneath the chair and he fell backwards to the floor in a heap.
“Hey, Matt. Just wanted to see how…” Sara paused in the doorway as she took in the scene before walking all the way in and shutting the door behind her. She turned back around and grinned at them, “So, obviously the date went well?”
Matt glared at her from the floor before untangling his self from the chair with Tobias’s help. The other man handed him his shirt as they both stood up and Matt mumbled thanks and pulling it on. He heard Sara snicker again and glanced over at her to see her purposely glance down before back up at him. Following her look down he blushed wildly as he realized just how… excited Tobias and him had become during their brief time in his office. He turned away from her and leaned against his desk, feeling his face burn even hotter when he heard Sara snicker again even louder.
“I’ll see you Friday.” He heard Tobias say as he came up behind him, a hand encircling his waist as he did so. Matt looked up at him and nodded before receiving a chaste kiss on the lips. Tobias smiled down at him as he pulled back, saying goodbye over his shoulder as he walked toward the door.
“There’s a bathroom down the hall and to the right if you need it.” Matt heard Sara say to Tobias as he walked past her. He groaned and his head hung forward, bringing up a hand to pinch at the bridge of his nose as he did so. When he heard the door open and shut he turned back around to see Sara standing there, still smiling.
“So, like I said, the date went well?”
Matt scoffed and sat back down in his chair, “Yeah, you could say that.”
“Why do I have a feeling that if I would’ve came in about two minutes later things would’ve been really awkward.” She said this with another glance down and Matt folded one across the other uncomfortably, still blushing.
“You’re enjoying this to no end, aren’t you?” He asked her with a slightly bitter edge to his voice.
But Sara just continued to smile, unfazed, “Of course.” Then her smile faded a bit and she gave him a more serious look, “Though, you’re really lucky it was me that came through that door.”
“Yeah, yeah, I know. I wasn’t meaning for it to go that far.” Matt mumbled.
“Alright, so tell me about the-“ Sara dropped off when the door suddenly opened again, revealing Rob this time.
“Hey, Matt, why’s your door and blinds closed?” He asked, before seeing Sara standing there as well, “Oh, Sara, what are you doing here?”
“Hi Rob, I was just talking to Matt about…” She glanced at him nervously, and Matt took up the slack.
“About the meeting Tobias and I just had about the freelancing, she was curious about what I’ll be doing.” He made up quickly, giving her a meaningful glance before looking back at Rob.
“And how did the meeting go, by the way?” Rob asked, Matt coughed slightly when Sara started to snicker quietly.
“Ah, it went fine.” Matt mumbled.
Rob nodded, not noticing the odd behavior of the two, “Good, good. I heard you came in a little late though, just watch your time if you meet up again.”
Matt nodded, shooting Sara a glare as she covered her mouth to hold in her snickering. “Oh, and make sure to keep your door and blinds open, you know our ‘open door, open window’ policy.” Rob said as he headed back out the door and down the hall.
Sara and Matt glanced at each other once Rob was gone before visibly relaxing. Sara now started to laugh openly, while Matt slumped forward in his chair, sighing loudly.
“Alright Matt, as entertaining as your life is right now, I need to get back to work. Tell me later how things went, and I want full details, okay?” Sara said after a few moments, before walking out the door as well. Matt just waved her off, thinking of both how lucky and unlucky this day had been, and it was only lunch.

1. Doing something Pro Bono means your doing it for free. In this kind of business, it’s a bit of a no-no to do freelance work on the side that’s the same type of work you do for where ever you work at. So to get around this if your doing something Pro Bono or just as a favor for some one else, then it’s usually all hunky-dory. And so ends your brief look into the world of advertising, don’t you feel special? ^_^
That’s right, I didn’t abandon this story, I’ll actually hop back and forth between this one and Wildfires. Though I can tell you that there will be a second update of this story pretty soon, like tomorrow or the day after pretty soon. This is actually only half of what I originally was planning on posting, but I decided to cut it in half when I realized that I was at 17 pages and still had at least two more to go.
*dies*
So, sorry if this one seems like it has an abrupt end, but there will be more very soon. Heck, might even update tonight, who knows. (definitely not me)
Anyways, on to the reviews! Did I respond to reviews before? I don’t really remember… Well, either way, I will from now on, so, uhh… Enjoy! I guess… *shrugs*
Sekre: I can hear Matt in the back of my head yelling about how not ‘cute’ he is right now :P (does that make me insane?)
Cherry Starburst: Thanks! Yeah, I was so bummed when I checked in on it and found it gone, but oh well. Thanks for the tips, I’ll check those websites when I start writing the other stories.
Navajo: Glad you like it. And thanks for the recommendations; like I told Cherry I’ll make sure to check them out.
Saminada: Yes, I am back! I’m glad you were able to find it again, that was one of my biggest worries, that people who liked it from before wouldn’t find it again. And while this one isn’t as long as the last update, hopefully the fact that a new one will be up relatively soon will make up for it :)
knits alot: You’re the third one to recommend Fiction press, so I’ll definitely have to look into it. And I’m happy you found it again as well, hopefully not too many people got lost because of what happened.
Distant Raen: Thanks. Nope, it isn’t abandoned, that always drives me insane as well when a story just is suddenly gone. Though I won’t say too much about what’s with Trent, I can promise more getting busy, and soon! ^_^
All right, that’s it for the review responses. Thanks again to all those who rated and reviewed, it definitely inspires me to right more when I see that people like my stories. So, go review! It makes me write faster! ^_^
It was Monday and Matt was back at work, hands tangled in his hair, leaning back in his chair staring at the ceiling as he silently berated his self once again for his actions on Friday.
