Chapter ~ Five~
Chapter ~Five ~
She woke from her short sleep disoriented until she felt a warm touch on her thigh. Manon gasped and scrambled to the head of the bed covering her nakedness with her arms and lowering her head.
The ice blue eyes stared at her for a long while as she sat there with her legs underneath her before his voice broke the silence.
“I wish to know the feel of your flesh submitting to mine. The tightness of your body from our earlier encounter has made it difficult to think of anything else but submerging myself into you.”
She trembled at his words and looked up into his eyes. “Is this why you saved me to sleep with me?”
“We will not sleep we will mate… frequently.”
Manon shook her head. “I …can’t do that.”
She hugged her body tighter as he moved towards her. She could feel his breath heating her skin as he breathed. He was inches away from touching her. Her eyes never left his as his hand touched her cheek and slowly moved down towards her chin.
“What you fear is natural. For the pain in giving yourself to me, I will reward you many times over. You will grow my seed and I will keep you in safety and warmth for all our lives.”
“You will keep me in safety and warmth?” Her voice was soft as she searched his eyes for truth.
He moved even closer bringing his other hand up to her face. “I will keep you in safety and warmth.”
His hands gently moved down towards her arms that gripped her body tightly and slowly began to coax them to loosen their hold. Manon closed her eyes as her arms fell away and he lowered his head to look at her nakedness.
His large warm hands gently cupped her abundant breasts. A soft sigh escaped her lips as his warm mouth planted kisses around the nipples of her breasts. She heard him groan before taking the right nipple into his mouth.
Her body tingled with wonderful sensations when he began to suckle at her breast. He slowly pulled away from her nipple and raised his head kissing up her arched body and neck. His voice was raw with emotion when he spoke in her right ear.
“Our children will not be undernourished.” His left hand moved down between her parted thighs where warmth and wetness greeted him. “I will not be undernourished either.”
Manon felt the strength of his body surround her as he easily lifted her from the bed. Her eyes opened when her feet touched the floor. He stared down at her with that same intense stare making her relax in his presence.
He would enjoy looking upon her beautiful face for centuries. His right hand gently touched her cheek distracting her from the black moss waiting in the corner for its master to beckon it to his side. Manon saw something moving in her peripheral vision and instantly turned towards the black ball rolling towards them.
He did not mind her breasts smashing against his chest as she tried to climb into his arms as the moss began to separate. Manon buried her face into his neck and whimpered. His arms surrounded her and a soft rumble began in his chest.
“It will not harm you. It is for your protection.” He slowly pulled her from his body. She tried to get herself back into his arms but Kagan gently held her away. Manon stared into his eyes and felt her body relaxing again. Her struggles began to wane and finally end altogether.
Kagan took a step back and stretched out his arms. The larger of the two balls of moss instantly began to cover his body forming the duster and the hat. Manon stared at the moss on his body for a while before returning her eyes to his. He nodded to her to do as he had.
Manon’s eyes opened wide. He wanted her to let that moist looking, living creature cover her body. Kagan moved towards her when it looked as if she would reject his wish.
Curiosity won out over her caution and Manon outstretched her arms and closed her eyes as the wet moss covered her body quickly. It did not form a duster but a long tube top kind of dress. It stopped mid thigh. She could feel the moss moving around her breasts, lifting them, and adding more support then any bra she had ever worn.
Her eyes opened and she looked down to see the moss still moving along her body.
“It is always in continuous motion, though, you can not feel it. It will protect you when I am away from you.”
Manon ran her hands along the dense black moss. She could feel its strength as it vibrated at her touch. “Where did you go when you left me?”
Kagan moved closer to her as she looked up from her hand touching the moss.
“They set foot where they should not.”
“Who set foot where they should not?”
“You felt them. They are interlopers.”
Manon watched him walk around her body looking at the way the moss adhered to her body. “I am an interloper.”
His presence behind her radiated heat through her body. His powerful arm came around her waist and pulled her close to his body. “You are my mate and I will taste of you soon.” His voice and words rang in her ear.
She heard a moan escape her lips.
“We will mate where I rest. My sanctuary shall be your body and your sanctuary shall be these Woodlands which I protect.”
Her head fell back onto his chest as the moss moved away from her skin so that he could touch her bare thighs.
The loud calls of birds made Kagan stop his quest and look out the window to see the fowl in the air. Manon opened her eyes to see him looking out the window. Something was happening to cause the birds to react as they were.
“What does that mean?” Kagan did not answer her but took her hand and led her from the room.
The force under the ground ran around the house in dizzying circles until Kagan and the woman stepped onto the grass. Kagan looked off towards the east watching the birds head in that direction. Manon felt his grip loosen and tightened hers when she saw the hill in the grass move towards her.
Kagan pulled her hard into his body and stared down into her eyes. She melted into his body as his lips melted onto hers. The sounds of pleasure from the woman penetrated the ground and the force beneath it trembled in excitement for his master.
She did not remember him letting her go but she saw him walking eastward towards the forest of trees. She did recall hearing him talking to the thing under the ground about keeping her safe.
It moved towards her and Manon backed. The grass and dirt began to crumble as the thing began pulling itself from the earth where it dwelled. The ground began to tremble and Manon lost her footing and fell as one of the long black spider-like legs slammed into the ground beside her. Another followed shortly after and Manon stared into the blackness of the creature’s eyes.
Andy wiped his face before lifting the body of the dead man over the tree barrier that guarded Woodland man’s domain. He began removing the clothing of his most recent visitor to date. The dead man did not even try to run as the woman did when Andy took out his gun while they were in the cell. He just sat there staring at the wall while his wife screamed for help. Her husband almost looked relieved when the bullet from Andy’s gun pierced her brain. Maybe he did not care that he was going to die. He just wanted to stop the screaming from her and inside his head.
Andy hoisted the heavy body onto his shoulder and pushed it through the same opening between two trees that he sent the other body. It fell onto the other side with a hard thump and slid down the slope to rest on the forest floor.
The birds came down like a waterfall and began to feast on the gift from the sheriff. Andy peeked through the row of trees to see them picking the flesh. He turned back to his truck to get the bag that contained the hearts of his victims. When he turned back around Kagan stood there with his head down shielding his face from Andy’s eyes.
The sheriff’s heartbeat accelerated and sweat began to pour down his body. “I got rid of the one’s that woke you.” He was surprised to hear that his voice did not crack even though the octave was considerably higher than his normal alto.
There was no response from the man before him just the constant movement of his body from breathing and the black moss that was the duster.
Andy opened the bag, pulled out the dripping hearts, and handed them to Kagan. The wind began to blow hard and the hearts flew out of Andy’s hand and onto the ground that swallowed them. Andy stepped away from the spot. Kagan turned to leave.
“No one will ever know they were here.” Kagan continued walking away. “They will never know about the girl.”
The Woodland man stopped as did everything else in the forest. Maybe that was something he should have keep to himself.
“What ever you want to know I am not going to tell you.” Chris Henson stared at the two men standing in his office wearing masks with defiance.
Ned and Martin smiled at the baseball coach as they closed the door. “You may not care what we do to you.” Ned picked up the picture on the desk.
The tall man with Ned smiled and cracked his knuckles. “Maybe your family will care.”
“That picture came with the frame I just have not gotten around to putting the teams picture in it.”
Ned frowned and looked back at his partner and then at the coach. “I guess it will be the hard way then.”
He waited until the nurse walked from Tarren’s room to come out of the closet where he was hiding. He had been waiting for over an hour to get rid of Tarren but it seemed as if everyone had something to do in his room. He had no patience and it showed in his work. Most suspects never wanted Officer Carter to be the one transporting them anywhere.
Carter walked up to the sleeping man silently. Bruises and bandages covered Tarren’s body. His daughter worked him over well.
His phone vibrated and Carter pulled it from his belt and answered it.
“I am doing it right now.”
The sound of the unfamiliar voice in his room woke Ted as the large hand clamped over his mouth. He could feel the sharp blade slamming into his chest repeatedly as he whimpered and struggled to free himself.
Carter held the phone to his ear with his shoulder as he continued stabbing Ted and talking. “So the baseball coach would not talk. How do you know where she is?”
Carter chuckled at Dave’s answer as he stabbed Ted in the neck and all his struggling stopped.
“The baseball team gave her up to save their coach how noble. I’ll meet you there in ten minutes after I clean up.” Carter wiped his hands on the white bed sheet that was not soaked with the pooling blood from Ted’s body. He carefully returned his phone to his belt and went to wash his hands in the bathroom.
