Chapter 5- The Zodiac Guardians
Before Sakura could even blink, they appeared right inside Akira’s apartment. It looked like any other apartment. And it was definantly a bachelor's pad. Sakura didn't know a lot about Akira's home life, only that he moved out of his parents' after he graduated high school. His apartment had vivid red and orange colors with warm browns mixed in.
“Um, you don’t have a roommate do you?” she asked.
“Huh? Oh no! Please sit down. Do you want something to drink?” Akira asked as he headed for the kitchen.
“Sure.” replied Sakura before sitting down.
She felt so alone and confused right now. What did she ever do to deserve this? Akira appeared. He was really worried about Sakura. He hoped that he could help her somehow.
“Here. I hope you like herbal tea.” he said as he handed it to her.
“Thanks.” said Sakura as Akira sat down across from her.
She still couldn’t believe that she was in Akira’s house and that he was sitting right across from her.
“Now, I think I better start from the beginning. You are familiar with the Greek Zodiac right?” Akira asked her.
Sakura nodded.
“Well, through the ages there have always warriors with powers dealing with the Zodiac. There are the Guardians and then there are the Hunters. Guardians are the good guys while the Hunters are their rivals and enemies. I am the Guardian of Aries, or the Ram. Goro is my archrival, Aries’s Hunter. Each group has their own leader. Our leader is Zodia. The Hunters' leader is Dorion. Are you with me so far?” asked Akira.
“Yes. Please continue.”
“Very well. We don’t know exactly who Zodia and Dorion are, but we do know that they are mortal enemies and both are immortal or gods. Also, Zodia has a medallion that she had lost. Both sides have been searching for that medallion for years. Sakura, you’re wearing that medallion. The medallion is said to hold awesome powers.”
“This is Zodia’s Medallion? Oh then shouldn’t we give it back to her?”
“Well, I would be I don’t know how to find Zodia. Whenever any of us see Zodia, it’s usually when she finds us.”
“Oh. Have you met any other Guardians or Hunters?”
“No I haven’t. There’s been no need. I’ve kept you up long enough Sakura. Why don’t you get some sleep. You can have my bed tonight. I’ll sleep here on the couch.” said Akira as he got up.
“Oh no! You’ve done enough already! I couldn’t possibly . . .” started Sakura as she stood up.
Akira interrupted her by placing a finger on her mouth.
“Don’t worry. I’ll get you something to sleep in.” said Akira before leaving the room.
Sakura stood there dumbfounded. Her life was changing so much, she felt fazed. Akira soon returned with a T-shirt.
“It’s not much, but you should fit into it. I’ll show you to my room. Oh! And I am sorry about the mess.” smiled Akira before leading Sakura to his room.
“Good night.” he said before closing the door.
Sakura was stunned speachless. Well, the least she could was rest. The drama that happened today took it's toll on her. Getting undressed, she put on Akira's T-shirt. It reached all the way down to her knees. Settling under the blankets on top of the mat on the floor and instantly fell asleep.

Meanwhile, Goro was standing in a dark room. In front of him was a man sitting in on throne. The man had black hair and piercing gold eyes.
“Goro, you are not to harm that girl.” the man said.
“But she has the medallion, Dorion.” replied Goro.
He was back in his regular attire.
“Yes, I know, but you are still not to harm her. That goes for the rest of you.” said Dorion.
11 other voices replied yes sir.
“Say Goro, I heard that you ran into Akira and you couldn’t even kill him.” smirked a childish girl’s voice.
“Ha ha! Goro didn’t you say that you would knock him with one swipe?” asked a sultry female voice.
“Goro, you should know that both of you are total opposites and that beating Akira isn’t going to be easy.” added a male’s practical voice.
“Cut it out you three!” snapped Goro.
“That is enough. Goro, to make sure that nothing goes wrong, I am going send someone with you to take out Akira. I want both the girl and that medallion. Is that understood?” asked Dorion.
“Yes sir.” bowed Goro.
“Very well. Hotaka! Come forth.” commanded Dorion.
A man stepped forth. He had green hair that was short in the front and with long bangs. His eyes were a sinister jade color.
“Yes, sir.” he said with a smooth, cool voice.
“You are to accompany Goro.” ordered Dorion.
“As you wish.” grinned Hotaka.
