Part Two Chapter Twenty-Three:


Kevan leaped off his horse right away and ran toward his parent the moment he saw them. Soriya and Nick surprised beyond words to see there son Kevan, they didn't expected for their second eldest to be here as well. Kevan wrapped his arms around his dad and hugged him tightly. Soriya returned the boy hugged with a kissed on the brow. “How are you Kevan?” He asked his son.

“I'm fine now that I'm here. I was worried about brothers and you two. I put aside my duty and rode here like crazy. I hope that you two aren't' too mad at me.” said Kevan. Then he notice his baby brother being held in his father arms. “Is that my little baby brother?” he asked. His eyes lit up with joy.

“Yes his name is Pearl,” Nick replied. He gave little Pearl to his older brother to be held. Kevan held his baby brother gently in his arms. He looked up at his shoulder and smiled at his pet the white owl. “Isn't he cute?” he said to the white owl.

Soriya chuckled, Nick eye the white owl resting on his son shoulder, “Kevan where did you find that?” he asked.

“I was bathing in the stream when he happened to fell from the sky. Someone shot him down, I nursed it back to health and ever since then he been with me.” He answer his father.

“I see,” Nick said and then he turned to his husband, “should we go now?”

Soriya nodded his head and turned to his son, “Kevan I want you to stay here and wait for me and your father to returned with your brother.”

Kevan looked up at his parent, “but I wanted to go with you two,” he said with a frowned.

“Now that you are here we could leave your little brother with you and be rest assured that he will be safe from danger, and also if anything happened to us you will be here alive and well to come up with a plan to safe your brother, although I wish with all my heart that it will not end that way.” Nick commented.

Kevan reluctantly agree to stay behind and watched his little baby brother. It was no used arguing with his parent. He watched as his parent rode off and disappeared from his view. His white owl flew off into the sky a few second after his parent left.

“Nick how long have it been since we last seen each other?” Amery remarked coldly when his ex-best friend and his husband was shown to the hall where he sat waiting.

“Its been too long Amery, you are no longer the kind person I used to know, did your sister death, really changed you that much?” Nick asked.

Amery stood up from his seat and went over to Nick, he raised his fist and punch Nick hard in the stomach, “you bastard, it was all your fault that she die, she love you so much and wanted nothing more then to be your wife, why did you choose a whore like him? When my sister is ten times better then that whore.” Amery demanded with his fingers pointing to Soriya.

Nick curled his hand into a tight fist and lay a hard punch to Amery face, mad beyond words that someone he considered as his friend would bad mouth the love of his life. The two go at each other, their fist lock with one another, they punch kicked and yelled out cursed, both not backing out of the fight, determined to knock the other out. They were a sight to behold when Amery father and Soriya pulled the two off of each other.

“Nick please,” Soriya pleaded with his husband he put himself in front of his husband to stopped his husband from going after his best friend. Amery father did the same with Amery, when Amery refused to listen he slapped his son hard.

Amery glared at his father anger in his eyes. His father didn't even flinch instead he slapped Amery again harder then the first. “Amery I am tired of all of this nonsense from you, you have no right to bad mouth Nick husband in front of him.”

“I have every right to father, don't you dare side with them,” said Amery.

“No you don't, my Soriya is not a whore, he is the sweetest person I love the most in this world.” Nick retorted.

“Why you? How dare you praised that whore in front of me?”

“For the last time my sweet Soriya is not a whore you bastard, he is a sweet innocent person, that I took advantage off when I was drunk. He is kind and he put my happiness above his own, he cares more about me then about himself. To Soriya I am the air he breath, with out me he would die. Just as I with out him would cease to exist in this world for Soriya is my heart.”

“What about my sister? What is she to you? You knew that she loves you don't you Nick? “ Amery snapped.

“Yes I know that she loves me, but I don't feel the same way as her.” Nick replied.

“Then why did you agree to marry her in the first place, if you didn't love her at all you bastard.” Amery barked.

Nick was going to retort back when Soriya stopped him. Soriya turned to Amery and took a deep breath, then he speak up. “It was because of me, Nick wanted to save my life. His father threatened to kill me if he didn't agree to marry your sister. Leaving Nick no choice then to marry your sister. I do not blame you for hating me, for I was the one responsible for putting your sister in misery. If I and Nick didn't meet each other back then your sister might still be alive to this day, for that I am sorry.” Soriya said with sincerity. “If killing me would make every thing better then I would be more then happy too. But please let my eldest son, Ethan, go.”

Before Amery could say a word his mother came out of her hiding place and ran toward Soriya, a poisons dagger hidden underneath her sleeve, she stabbed Soriya with it. The dagger pierce Soriya hearts. Amery mother eyes lit up with glee, happy now that she had taken her revenge for her beloved daughter. She throw her head back and laughed with glee. She spun around with joy and tripped on her own to feet. She landed face down on the floor with her dagger still in her hand, her heart pierce by the same dagger she used to killed Soriya. Amery mother die instantly.

Amery and his father too shocked by what they just witness that it took them awhile to recovered. Amery ran to his mother side and lifted her into his arms. Amery father stay where he was and kept shaking his head. This was the priced his wife have to pay for taking the life of an innocent man. Amery father felt no pity toward his wife, he just regret that he couldn't changed her mined about revenge.

Nick caught Soriya and held him in his arms, his eyes filled with panic, he was unable to say a word accept Soriya names he kept repeating it over and over again. Soriya hands came up to cup his husband cheek. “Nick,” he uttered out right before his eyes closed. Soriya body went limp his breathing stopped and so was his heart, Nick knew then that his beloved Soriya is gone for ever Nick throw his head back and howled out in pain.

Ethan race down the hall toward the sound of his father cried, as soon as he heard. He wished with all his heart that nothing terrible happened. But it was a wished not fulfill as he saw his father embracing his dad lifeless bodies, tears filled his eyes Ethan race forward to his father side and fell down to his knees. His hand trembled as he touched his dad pale white cheek, “daddy, daddy, wake up daddy, wake up daddy. Wake up and look at me,” he cried demanding that his dad opened his eyes and look at him. His face wet from the tears falling from his eyes.

Nick looked up at his son, his eyes filled with tears as well. “Ethan take care of your little brother, for me and your dad,” after telling his son this, Nick pulled out his own dagger and stabbed himself right in the heart he was so quick that Ethan couldn't even stopped him.

Ethan eyes widened in horror as his body went into shocked his father body went limp and his body rested on top of his dad body. He throw his head back and howled out in sorrow just as his father just did with his dad, with a murderous eyes he turned his head to Amery, “you satisfied now?” he asked, “are you satisfied now? You have your revenge, my parents are dead, you killed them. Tell me now are you satisfied with the outcome of your revenged Amery!!” he shouted.

“I... I didn't...” before Amery could say anything further, Ethan stood up and went over to slapped Amery hard across the cheek. His eyes portray how angry he is with the man. He will never forgive this man. “My parent are dead, you have your revenge now Amery, I hope that you are happy with the outcome.” Ethan said coldly. “Then he add, “I see no need for me to be here no longer, I trust that you have no objection to me leaving.” With out waiting for a replied Ethan went down on his knees and picked up his father body, Amery father bend down next to him, “I'll carry your father while you carry your dad.” He offered to help. For that was all he could do for the poor boy, who just lost both his parent in one day. Ethan nodded his head and picked up his dad lifeless bodies, he turned to Amery for the last time, “I don't want to ever see or hear your name again, let us not meet each other from now on.” He turned and left.

Waiting for his parent to returned was too much, Kevan decided that it would be best if he meet them half-way when they returned. But the one to returned alive and well was his brother Ethan. His eyes immediately went to the two bodies on the horse he knew without even asking that the two people lying lifeless on top of the horse was his parent. Kevan race toward his brother.

Ethan lifted his head and looked at his brother with sorrowful eyes, Kevan stumbled backward and fell to his knees, he shook his head, not wanting to believed that his parent are dead. Tears quickly filled his eyes and came rushing down his cheek like a waterfall.

Their little baby brother also cried, Ethan took his little baby brothers from his brother Kevan and held him in his arms. He gazed down at the crying baby, “because of me father and daddy is no longer here to raised you as they see fit, I in their place will raised you,” then he went down on his knees and hugged his brother Kevan, “let us returned home, with our parent,” he whispered.

Kevan nodded his head, he stood up, wiped his tears with the back of his hands and take the rein. “Ethan aren't we going to take revenge.”

Ethan shook his head. “Revenge will lead to nothing but more bitter memories. I'm sure that if our parent were still alive they would think the same thing. Nothing can be gain by it, it does not bring back what is lost.”

Kevan find himself agreeing with his brother. The two brothers walked side by side too stricken with sorrow to say another word. In Ethan mind as he walked, he vow to never step foot into the country of Malis again, he will take over his father place and ruled his country.

Amery looked up at his father his arms still held his mother. Amery father went down on one knee and brushed his dead wife cheek. "Amery it wouldn't have turned out this way if you....”

Amery cut his father off, "I know what you are trying to say father, mother die because of me, if I didn't bring the boy here none of this would've happened. I should had listened to you and not let revenged cloud my mind. And now its too late.”

“Yes it is too late Amery,for you,that is. Ethan will never forgive you my son. It was your doing that led his parent to meet their ends. For this you will have to suffer and not know the joy of holding your baby in your arms.”

“What are you trying to tell me father?” Amery demanded.

“The boy is pregnant, he is carrying your baby, Ethan is having your baby, Amery, but I doubt that you will be able to see your child now that all of this had happened, all I could do is wish you luck.” With that said his father left him alone.

“Baby, I'm going to be a father,” Amery kept repeating the word over and over again. Upstairs his father pack up a few things and gave the room he share with the wife that he was forced to wed that day after he gave birth to Kell son. “Farewell,” he whispered. He grabbed his stuff and walked out of the room and out of the castle. There was nothing left to tie him down.
