Chapter 48

Who would have thought a Tae Kwon Do demonstration would be a good idea? Well, he found it hard to believe that the cute purple-haired boy ever came up with particularly bad ideas. Sitting there on a blanket, breathing fresh air and watching two rather attractive men show off spectacular moves was good for making the day's events seem so far away.

Leandor certainly enjoyed it, even if he did have to sit out there topless. It was a warm night, but he still didn't like having his body out for everybody to see without at least some silk to drape over it. Luckily the show was good enough to distract him from his vain train of thought. If the situation was any different, he thought maybe he could be attracted to someone like Luo. The man definitely had a look to die for, not to mention that strength. Perhaps in an alternate universe, it could have worked, but Lea knew they weren't each others' types, so he'd just have to be satisfied with the man as eye-candy until that thing was over, and then they wouldn't likely see each other ever again.

As soon as the demonstration was over – with no interference from the wretched Mancini girl – they wound up back at the apartment. Leandor was looking forward to getting time alone with Julian while the other two showered, but apparently that was not meant to be. Inside they found the unfortunate cute dom, Kiyoshi, sitting on the couch.

Slightly annoyed that his plans were messed up, Leandor wandered over to grab his book off the coffee table and find a seat. Maybe there was still time, and whatever Kiyoshi wanted wouldn't last long. He smiled at the cute Japanese man and asked, "Are you feeling any better?"

The black-haired guy shrugged. "I'm fine. It's just a little pain." He proceeded to dig something out of his pocket as he turned over to Julian. "Did Kyun come in with you? I need to talk to him."

Julian dropped the blanket – which he insisted on carrying – on the floor while he bent over to untie his shoes. He looked around him, as if surprised not to see Kyun attached to him, and then smiled sheepishly. "I guess they tired themselves out. He and Luo should be back any second. They were right behind us."

"Alright." Kiyoshi scratched his chin for a bit, then turned his attention over to the television, popping something into his mouth. He chewed for a bit, then turned back to face the approaching purple-haired guy, seemingly a bit nervous about something. "Know what mood he's in?"

"Hmm, that's hard to say. I don't think he's in a bad mood. From what I can tell, it's rather good after that exercise. You know him better than I do, so I guess we'll see." Julian hopped onto the couch near his frog pile and started rearranging them. After a few seconds of locating his biggest one, he looked up to frown at Kiyoshi with concern. "Why? Is there something wrong?"

The Japanese gazed over at him with a quirked brow. "Uh... no, nothing's wrong." He said hesitantly, then resumed watching the strange show he had found himself on an obscure channel.

Leandor sat there studying the Japanese. Was there some reason the injured one was out while his little firecracker was still tucked away somewhere? If they had a fight, he figured Nele would be the one out. "I certainly do hope my dear munchkin isn't in the center of any more drama. Where is he hiding?"

At first, it seemed like Kiyoshi wasn't going to respond. His eyes were glued to the screen, even if his interest in the show hadn't kept him from turning away to speak so far. When he finally responded, his voice was low, and he didn't turn. "Nele's still in our room. Did you want anything?"

Okay, it seemed the cute dom wasn't in a chatty mood. Leandor shook his head, figuring it was best not to push it. Last thing he wanted was to get caught up in a spat. So he quietly opened his book and gazed down to find the paragraph he left off on.

Julian apparently didn't get the memo. He wasn't even looking up from his frogs as he began a quick chatter. "He's really mad at me, right? I didn't mean for it to get carried away like that. You should have seen Kyun and Luo's demonstration! It was so cool! You probably see that a lot though, right? Do you know Tae Kwon Do too?"

With a barely audible sigh, the Japanese shrugged. "Mad? Maybe a little. He'll get over it." Then he turned to face Julian again, his voice noticeably lighter. "I've seen most of it. Help Luo train now and then."

"Really? Wicked!" Julian grinned excitedly, making the big frog spring up a couple times. He gazed over at the Japanese and added curiously. "Do you think Kyun would teach me some? That looks like it would be really useful when the guys at the shop get a little too fresh!"

Kiyoshi appeared amused at the idea. "He might," he said in a friendly voice, "but I'm sure he'd rather be your bodyguard." The black-haired guy chuckled, then gave a grimace and clutched his stomach. "Oops." He added with an embarrassed smirk.

"That must hurt bad, huh?" With a thoughtful frown, the purple-haired guy looked at the TV. "If I knew more about the injuries you have, maybe I could give you a massage that would help. Though that would be too dangerous without knowing the damage... Oh! But I brought some oils that might ease the pain a little if you take a bath!" He paused and blinked back a slight pout. "I left my incense at home though... The heated cushion might have helped."

As the Japanese was about to respond, Kyun appeared around the corner, and Kiyoshi's attention quickly focused on him. The Korean was just wearing a pair of sweatpants, and had a t-shirt slung over his shoulder. His eyes quickly settled on Julian, and he managed to find room to sit down without interfering with the frog habitat. Wrapping an arm around the smaller guy with a smile, he asked, "how many do you have?"

"About 20, I think. You were quick!" Julian abandoned his paper friends to bring a hand up over Kyun's shoulder, giving the wet hair a light stroke. He laughed while he got up and rushed off into the bathroom. Leandor heard him exchange a few words with Luo in there, and then he reappeared carrying a towel. He hopped back onto the couch, staying on his knees, and dotingly began work on towel-drying his companion's hair. "You'll catch a chill if you wander around with your hair wet like that!"

Kyun flashed a contemplative smirk, then leaned over to nuzzle the guy's neck. "Think you'd stay in bed with me all day if I do?" He brought his hands down to Julian's hips, then slid his hands in under the polo shirt. "If so, maybe I should go outside like this!"

With a surprised simper, Julian's face brightened in a faint blush. He gave Kyun a quick peck on the lips and lowered his voice as if the others present couldn't hear whispers. "You don't have to get yourself sick to convince me to go stay in bed with you." He glanced over at the others, and smiled shyly. "Oh, I think Kiyoshi wants to talk to you... Should I give you two some privacy?"

That got the Korean's attention. His head shot up, and he tilted it curiously as he gazed over at Kiyoshi. "What do you say? Should we chase them out?"

The Japanese seemed to consider that for a while, then pushed to his feet extremely slowly and gently. Making his way over to the other couch, he leant against the wall. "Look, I just wanted to talk to you about Nele. I mean, he does think you're 'fucking awesome', as he put it, and -"

"Did he ask you to talk to me?" Kyun had immediately seized eye contact when he broke the guy off, and his gaze was unrelenting. Was hard to guess what emotions was behind the question, but it was obvious an answer was expected.

"No, he -" Kiyoshi started. before the Korean broke him off again.

"Then talk to me when he does." Kyun said firmly. Their eyes remained locked, and upon noticing the frown appearing on the Japanese face, he added, "Kiyoshi. You're a nice guy. But I already knew that. I can't make up my mind about Nele by what you say on your own initiative." Then the Korean smiled, diverting his eyes as he added in a sincere, mild voice, "you just proved once again that he's really lucky to have you. I hope he shows you proper appreciation."

Leandor watched with great amusement. His firecracker wasn't even in the room and he was still the center of the drama. Frankly, he wasn't surprised. With Nele's attitude, he rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. It would be a cold day in hell if that little guy had a whole 24 hours without fighting with anybody. "I don't think you have to worry, Kiyoshi." Leandor smiled warmly at the Japanese. "If Nele said something like that about Kyun, he's bound to figure out a way to fix this. There aren't many people he looks up to, and he knows better than to let it go sour for too long."

With a reluctant smirk, Kiyoshi gazed over at the blond. "Thanks." He nodded over at the couple in the couch, then started out on the journey back to the bedroom.
