Chapter 43
Chapter 0043: Brother of the Damned :
Stephen smiled as his fingers combed through those long black locks of hair. His eyes stared down into those emerald depths of Magnus' as he laid on top of the wizard. He felt so warm and safe here. He never wanted Magnus to leave his side. He felt the brunette wizard's hands caressing his back as they laid in the castle garden's secluded from everyone.
He felt his eyes snap open at the knock and all images of Magnus Rosenbrim and their youth together left him. Stephen sat up in bed, "Enter."
King Tolkki ignored all decorum as he came into the room and rushed to Stephen's bedside. The King of HammerFall soon found himself embraced in a tight hug by his fellow monarch. Then he felt the kisses to his cheek.
"They found her, Stephen. She was right here in the depths. She's safe for now. You must send for Magnus. He's probably the only one that can help. But Gods above they found her!" He said excitedly as he hugged and kissed onto the ruler of HammerFall.
Stephen laughed softly as he pushed Tolkki away from him. "Stop talking so fast. They found who? And why should I send for Wizard Rosenbrim?"
"My wife. They found her. But she is under some kind of sorcery. I am sure Magnus could heal her of this sleeping spell." Tolkki said speaking more clearly and no longer holding or kissing his fellow monarch.
Stephen sighed, "I can't send for him. He was captured by the enemy."
Realization dawned on the Monarch of Stratsovara.

Jasper sat sulkily upon the boulder looking out towards the forested mountains of the Kingdom of Dargor. He did not notice Johan slip up behind him at first; until he felt the arm wrapped around him in a hug. Jasper ignored the gesture.
He whispered, "I cannot believe they accepted my brother's services. He'll betray us all again and ruin my family's name further."
Johan told him, "Do not let his shadow fall upon you, Jasper. It's his shame, not your's."
"Whenever people see me and my family they will always remember what a failure House Stormblade is to the People of HammerFall." He whispered in a sad voice his eyes no longer looking to forested mountains; but to the ground.
The memory of his childhood came back upon him. His mind was lost for the moment in his youth. He could still hear their hushed voices.
Jasper laid on the grass looking up into the sky. His tiny fingers clutched on the blades he heard the other children whispering about him.
"But why can't I go over and talk to him? He looks so lonely." He heard a voice whisper.
"Because he's a Stormblade. All they care about themselves. He'd only hate you for it."
Another voice added, "Besides if you talk to him you'll get cursed."
"Yeah." A third voice said, "His brother is an evil Warlock that rips out people's hearts."
Jasper forced back the tears and sat up with his back towards his classmates. He walked away from the other six year olds and into the woods. He picked up a stick and started to practice his sword strokes with it like his mother had showed him.
