Lily woke up abruptly as the door to the room flew open. “My fucking dinner is cold,” Morgan shouted as Lily stumbled out of bed and looked at the time. It was pass midnight, it was obvious that the damn soup would be cold.
“I'll heat it up,” she offered as she tried to walked out of the door, but Morgan was blocking it.
Morgan entwined her fingers through Lily's hair as she Lily hissed as she grabbed a hold of Morgan's wrist trying to ease the pressure.
“Why is my fucking dinner cold?” Morgan hissed next to Lily's ear, Lily smelled the tequila on Morgan's breath.
'not again,' Lily grimaced, lately Morgan was arriving home intoxicated more often than usual.
“I had it ready by six but you never showed up,”
Morgan back handed Lily as she crumbled to the floor, “Make up your mind either I get home early or late.”
Lily curled up in a ball, Morgan had never kicked her but she wouldn't doubt it if she started now.
“Huh?” Morgan hissed as she kneeled next to Lily and gripped her chin forcing their gazes to meet.
“What ever you want,” Lily hastily replied as Morgan stood up, “Damn right, what ever I want.” With that Morgan left the room and Lily hastily ran to the bathroom and locked herself in there.
Lily was awaken by the sunlight that streamed through the little window in the bathroom. She stood up from where she was laying, her back popped and she craned her neck trying to get the kinks out of it.
She slowly opened the door only to find Morgan asleep in bed.
“fuck,” she mouthed as she creep out the bathroom and stopped by the dresser. She needed clothes, she grabbed a hold of a light orange dress and a bra and underwear, she was out the door and slowly closing it when it flew opened. She looked up to see Morgan standing behind her.
“where ya going?”
“No where,” she replied quickly as Morgan grabbed her wrist. “Come to bed,” Morgan mumbled groggily as Lily cried silently on the inside.
Morgan laid on her back as Lily involuntarily snuggled next to her.
“I'm sorry about last night,” Morgan mumbled as Lily swallowed hard. Sure Morgan was sober now, but even Sober Morgan had a temper.
Lily didn't reply as she closed her eyes tightly.
Morgan shifted as she wrapped her arms around Lily and nuzzled her neck. Lily felt sick to her stomach as she swallowed hard. “Babe?” Morgan whispered as she darted her tongue across Lily's neck.
Morgan's breathing became heavier as her hands slipped underneath the shirt that Lily was wearing.
Lily flinched when Morgan roughly groped her breast and she hissed out loud when Morgan pinched her nipples.
By now Morgan was on top of Lily, whom did not even bother to retaliate as she just turned her head to the side and allowed Morgan to lift her shirt up exposing her chest.
Morgan dove in and took a nipple in her mouth as involuntarily Lily arched her back up. Lily took deep breaths as Morgan adjusted herself on top of her. She massaged and fondle her as Lily glance at the time.
By now she would have been on the bus on the way to the library, instead she was stuck at home with Morgan attempting to make love to her.
Morgan stopped as Lily feeling something wrong she opened her eyes and slowly turned her head to meet angry dark brown eyes.
'shit,' she mumbled as she moved her head in time, the fist that embedded herself next to her head, had a lot of force.
“Who the hell are you thinking about?” Morgan hissed as she straddle Lily's hips and caught a hold of her wrist and placed them over her head.
“No one,” Lily mumbled.
“Don't you lie to me, you have this disgusted look on your face,” Morgan was getting angrier by the minute, the one things she hated was rejection.
“No, no no,” Lily repeated trying to re-assure her, plus she had no way to defend herself in the state she was in.
This time Lily didn't have a chance to move in time and everything we dark.
(J.J)
Matt quickly ran down the sidewalk as he fished for his key and walked in to find J.J sitting on the couch drinking milk.
J.J turned to look at him and she smiled at the look of relief he had on his face. “Give me a little credit, I did say I was going to behave.”
Matt chuckled too, relief to find J.J okay, “Are ya ready?” he asked as J.J shook her head, “I wanna take the bus.”
Matt frowned as he sat next to her. “I want to give you a ride,”
“I'm not going to ditch therapy, after that I'll get to park get the dogs and walk them and stuff.” J.J showed Matt the pill she was twirling around her palm as she popped it into her mouth.
“AH,” she opened her mouth as she moved her tongue around showing she had swallowed it.
“smart ass,” he mumbled as she grinned, “You are one too.” She retaliated as he chuckled, “Yeah well everyone in the family is a smart-ass.”
Matt flinched as he realized he mention their folks. 'Crap,' “Yeah,” J.J smiled sadly as she patted his leg.
“Be glad your the normal one,” She stood up as she looked at him. “I'm off I don't want to be late.”
Matt walked her to the bus stop as they waited in silence. 'She was right,' Matt had to agree with her on that, he was the more stable one. For being the youngest he sure had gotten everything right. He graduate with top honor in high school, he graduate top of his class in college. He had a stable job, that allowed him leeway when he had to just take off abruptly to take care of J.J. He was married to Mariel whom they met in a business administration class. He was okay, he was the only Jent that came out okay.
The bus pulled up as J.J hugged him and kissed his cheek, “I promise I won't do anything stupid.”
“For how long,” Matt shouted as J.J walked into the bus and from the window she just shrugged her shoulders.
J.J sat in the waiting room when the door opened leading into the doctors office. “you look good,” Elizabeth commented as J.J nodded. “The bruising it's finally fading a bit.”
J.J took a seat on the chair and just patted her fingers on her legs. “Yeah everything physically heals eventually.”
“How's it being back home?” J.J once again inspected the room and shrugged her shoulders.
“It's ok,” Elizabeth opened a new file she had gotten a hold of. “I got Dr. Anders to send your file over.”
J.J grimaced, that file had more dirt on her than anything else.
“I can either use it, or you and I can start from new.” J.J looked at her skeptically.
“Are you serious. Clean slate?” Elizabeth nodded as J.J smiled a bit. “I'll bite, okay then.”
“Good well lets start with your childhood.”
J.J smiled sadly, “did you read my previous file?” Elizabeth shook her head.
J.J licked her lips and clapped her hands, “All right then... When I was nine my dad ate a shotgun and at twelve my mother did it with pills.”
J.J studied the doctors reaction as she realized the doctor was telling the truth. She had not read her file, that was a major point in her childhood.
“So can I assume your lack of interest in life stems from your parents?”
“It's a major factor but not the only one.”
Elizabeth took off her glasses as J.J leaned forward and placed her hands on the desk.
“I'm not an idiot, I'm not insane and most certainly I'm not a hazard to others-”
“Except yourself,” J.J leaned back on her desk and whistle out loud. “You are one of the most intriguing doctors I've had the pleasure to annoy.”
Elizabeth smile, she was right J.J was not stupid, but she did have some conflicts, she did not rationalized correctly. That was what Elizabeth had to work on, not on the past but on the current mind set she had.
“How about we do a little exercise.” Elizabeth asked as J.J raised an eyebrow, “sure,”
“Take this note book, I will give you certain assignments to write about and we will discuss them on the next session.”
'Weird,' J.J thought as she took the little notebook she was handed. “Always carry a pencil with you.” Elizabeth added as she gave J.J a little pencil with no eraser.
“No need to edit your thoughts,” Elizabeth mention as J.J place the pencil behind her right ear.
“Matt told me he got you a small job.” J.J nodded, “financially are you stable?” Elizabeth prodded as J.J smiled.
“My grandfather gave Matt the house and I got the apartment.”
“Your grandparents raised ya?”
“Yup and they left us well off, My granddad was good with numbers, he paid for Matt's tuition in full.”
“when did he pass away?”
“When I was 21,” Elizabeth looked at J.J and she nodded, “that was a trigger,”
They both were startled by the buzzard noise that filled the room.
“time up,” J.J stood up quickly, “the dogs you walk I want you to write about them. Give them all nicknames.”
J.J scoffed as she nodded and walked out.
(Lily)
It was close to six in the evening when Lily woke up. She felt as if a freight train had slammed into her.
The apartment was unusually quiet, that made her uncomfortable as she stood up, she grimaced as she felt her ribs ache as she looked down to see herself naked and covered in bruises.
“fuck,” she cursed as she got up and walked to the bathroom, there she inspected all the damage that had been done.
Her neck was purple from when Morgan had chocked her, she could visibly see the marks of the fingers. She could see the fist mark all over her abdomen. Her lips was swollen from the bite and her cheek was a little puffy and red.
Lily sighed relief that that was all the damage, she had endure more before.
Lily showered with warm water as she scrubbed her nether regions and hissed at the small cuts she had. When the soap hit her back she hissed as she realized she had scratches there too.
After the shower Lily made it to the kitchen were she found a note saying: Too early too late well how about never.
The note was unsigned and Lily sighed, this was not the first time Morgan had abandoned her out of the blue. How long till she came back, who knew. The only things that Lily knew was that if she wanted a roof over her head for the next couple of months or weeks, she needed a job.
Lily dressed up in the orange dress she had manage to get before she was ambushed by Morgan.
She put her hair in a ponytail and found an old pair of sunglasses she owned.
Even if it was late the last thing she really wanted was to be home.
(J.J)
J.J sat on a bench with a chihuahua on her lap, she had tied a leash around her right ankle at the end of that leash was a chocolate brown Labrador whom was laying down by her feet and on the arm rest of the bench was the white pug who was asleep on its side and finally sitting next to her was a golden retriever, who was always nuzzling her arm and licking her face.
All the dogs were well behave, she had walked around the park with all of them. She played fetch with the two bigger ones and some how ended up carrying the smallest dog because it could not keep up.
“Lets see,” J.J muttered as she looked at the pug, his name was Ricky, god knows why he was name that she thought but she looked at his squished in face and smiled.
“hammer, your name is hammer.”
She was about to write when the Golden retriever licked her again. She groaned at the stickiness she felt on her right cheek.
“imma name you sticky,” J.J looked at the retriever who barked and J.J patted his head. “yeah you stick to me like a fly sticks to shit.”
“and you,” she looked down to see the chihuahua on her lap. “Imma call ya spoiled, who the hell walks a dog by carrying it.” The chihuahua went back to sleep on her lap as she wrote down the names. She felt someone sit next to the Labrador but she didn't pay attention, she was on the bench first and she certainly wasn't going to move.
“I hope they aren't all your dogs?” the stranger asked.
“Nah just a small gig I got while I get back on my feet.” J.J still didn't acknowledge the stranger. So mentally J.J continue naming the dogs while the stranger petted sticky and spoiled as she cooed names to chocolate bar, the Labrador she had nicknamed. J.J still did not look up to meet the stranger who was so infatuated with the dogs. Her voice was sweet and shy, J.J smiled as she notice it was getting darker. Still unfazed by it she started to draw. Still not looking up.
She drew the face of the pug and then she drew a hammer symbolizing its new nickname.
“Well I'm gonna call it a night nice meeting ya,”
J.J just mumbled a 'you too' and the stranger left. J.J finally letting her curiosity get the best of her looked up to see a retreating orange summer dress waving side to side.
(A/N: Damn J.J's lack of interest right?)
