Chapter Four: A New Side, A New Punishment

Loki shudders and closes his eyes but doesnt fall asleep. Loki wraps his arms around his own waist. Niko stood up and looked down at Loki.

"It is time to go to bed, my pet. Shall you walk, or shall I carry you there?"

Loki slowly tries to stand up and looks at Niko "I will try to follow."

Niko nodded and turned, walking to the door and opening it then waited in the doorway for Loki. Loki slowly and carefully walks up to where Niko is and walks through the door. Niko closed the door behind them and walked slightly ahead of Loki, his markings fading to a almost solid black color as he walked to another door and opened it, letting Loki through first. Loki slowly walks through not really knowing what will happen once inside.

Niko closed the door and pointed to a large plush bed in the corner of the room that was covered with white and a light blue satin and silk sheets and adorned with many large fluffy pillows. "That bed is all yours, my pet." he said with a bit of a smile and moved to the bed in the center of the room adorned with black and silver sheets that was raised up off of the floor. He sat on the edge of the bed. "And this is mine. You aren't to join me in mine unless I ask you to do so. You are also not to leave this room unless you are asked to do so, and by me only." he said firmly.

Loki nods slightly looking over at the bed that was now his. Loki then looks back at Niko not really knowing what to do as he never had a bed before.

Niko started to take off his boots then stopped and looked up at Loki. "Well... what's wrong?" he asked.

Loki shakes his head and slowly walks over to his new bed and slowly sits down and stares at his lap before looking up at him and slowly lays down on top of the sheet, falling asleep almost instantly.

Niko chuckled and took off his boots before getting off his bed and walked over to Loki and covered him up with one of the blankets from Loki's bed. "Sleep well my pet." he murred with a smile before going back to his bed and stripping off all his clothes and climbing under his own sheets and falling asleep after a short while.

Throughout the night Loki tosses and turns, not really finding the right position to be comfortable. Niko wakes the next morning and lays in bed, watching Loki across the room sleeping. Loki slowly starts waking up and blinks noticing where he was and closes his eyes again. Niko watches on in amusement, slowly smiling. Loki turns his head to look at the ceiling and stares blankly at it. Niko smiled and moved his feet together to warm himself up more as he continued to watch Loki, not really feeling like getting out of bed yet. Loki continues staring blankly at the ceiling blinking slowly before sighing and turning his head and stares at Niko. Loki sits up slowly flinching at the piercings as they move against his tender skin.

Niko chuckled. "Good morning, my pet. How was your sleep?"

Loki nods slightly, flinching as his sides hurt. "As best as I could."

Niko chuckled and smiled with amusement. "Ah, that is good to hear." There was a knock on the door and Niko sat up. "Come in, come in." he said, already knowing who was at the door. The door opened and a tall male with long red hair came into the room, holding onto two platters of food. He walked to the table near Niko's bed and placed both platters down very carefully and bowed to Niko. "Your breakfast, master." he said quietly. Niko smiled and nodded. "Thank you Lex, you may go now." The male bowed again and left the room, his hair waving behind him as he did so. Loki turns his head watching as Lex walks into the room and continues to watch him until he turns to leave before turning back to Niko.

Niko sits on the edge of his bed and pulls one of the trays closer to him and inspects the food. Fruits, toast, some meat, cheese, fried eggs, and milk to drink. He took a piece of toast and put the fried egg on it. He brought it to his lips and took a bite, chewing slowly. After Niko takes another bite, he looks back at Loki. He swallowed his chewed food before speaking. "Come, eat your food. The other tray is all yours." he said before he continued to eat.

Loki shakes his head. "I don't eat meat."

"There are things other then meat on the plate, my pet."

Loki looks at Niko before slowly moving over to Niko and stands next to him. Niko smiled at Loki and gestured to the untouched plate. "All of that is yours. If you'd feel better, I could take the meat off the plate for you if you'd like."

Loki shakes his head and slowly takes the plate and starts eating. After he finishes everything off but the meat, he sets the plate aside and stands there.

Niko finishes his food and turns to Loki with a smile. "Enjoy your meal, my pet?"

Loki nods shivering slightly from the cold air in the room "What do you want..."

Niko looks him over, wanting to play with his new pet, but was disgusted slightly at how filthy he looked, all covered in blood and such. "I would like you to go and take a bath to wash that filth from your body." he said and got up, the blankets falling from his nude body. "Follow me." he commanded as he walked over to a connecting door to the room and into a very large and elegant bathroom covered with marble and jewels in the stone walls. There was a very large bathtub and a shower on the other side with glass walls around it. Also a toilet and two sinks and a large cabinet with white fluffy towels folded neatly and stacked high. Niko walked over to the bathtub and turned on the warm water, the water coming out of the facet. He waited for it to get warm before the put a stopper down to block the drain and let the bath fill up a little more then half way before he turned to face Loki. "There, your bath is ready. Get in and wash up." He handed Loki the soap and the shampoo. "And don't forget to use these. The soap first, then the shampoo. Oh, and in case you didn't already know... The soap is for your body, and the other is for your hair." he chuckled and walked out of the room, shutting the door behind of him as he did.

Loki glares at Niko before looking around the room sitting on the edge of the bathtub. He continues looking around and finds a window and smiles. He waits for the water to get half way before getting in and quickly washes himself. Loki gets out and doesnt bother to turn the water off. He dries off quickly and walks over to the small window. He climbs up quietly and opens it. He squeezes through and smiles as he makes his way out. Loki walks along the edge of the palace as quietly as he could, the water still running in the bathroom. Niko walked back into his bedroom and got himself dressed in black loose fitting pants and a tight fitting tank top then sat on the bed, waiting for Loki to get done with his bath.

He hears the water continuing to run and brings his brows together in confusion. He get up and makes his way to the door and hears the water overflow out of the tub. He growls and opens the door quickly and wasn't too surprised to see that his pet wasn't in the room. Niko walked over to the tub and turned off the water and pulled the stopper from the drain before walking out of the room and his bedroom and into the hallways. Lex quickly walked up to him and kept pace with his annoyed master's stride. "What is wrong, my master?" Niko smirked and growled slightly, causing the other to flinch a little from fear of the look in Niko's eyes. "My pet has escaped. I need you and the others to help me catch him." Lex nodded quickly and ran off. Niko growled slightly and walked into another room and grabbed a leash and cuffs. "I'll teach you to disobey me, my pet." he said with a cold laugh.

Meanwhile, Loki walks faster looking for a way out. He see the entrance and walks towards it trying to stay out of sight. Lex was the first to spot Loki leaving and he ran up behind him without a sound and grabbed Loki by the arms and put them behind of Loki's back. "Where do you think your going?" he asked, in a curious way rather then angry sounding. "You've made Master very angry you know... You shouldn't do bad things like this or else you'll get punished." Lex shivered slightly from the word.

Loki struggles and tries to get away. He looks towards the way out, struggling more, knowing what he said was true. "Please...let me go.."

Lex shook his head, his long red hair flowing from side to side with the movement. "I can't. If I do, then I would get punished, and you would be caught and punished far worse then what you will get for attempting..." he said sadly. "There is no escaping him, I know... I've tried before and I regret it."

Loki stops moving and closes his eyes "Then I'm sorry too...but I have to do this." Loki elbows Lex in the stomach. Loki looks down at Lex before turning away, his hair flowing behind him as he starts walking again. Lex whimpered, kneeling on the ground and holding his stomach. Lex looked up at Loki's back with tears in his eyes. "You'll make us all suffer for you?" he asked, hurt and fearful of the beating he would also get if Loki left.

Loki stops suddenly and lowers his head. He turns around and walks back over to Lex and holds out his hand "Just....get it over with..."

Lex looked up at him with surprise and accepted his hand, getting to his feet and pulling Loki into a hug. "Thank you." he said and nuzzled his neck. "I'll try my best to help make it easier on you here. Master tends to listen to me sometimes." he said and smiled.

Loki shakes his head "No...don't worry about it....you better do something before he finds you like this."

Lex moved away, only now realizing just how close he was to Loki and looked down and away. "I apologize for my behavior. But I will try. You don't deserve to be punished, or made to stay here... none of us here wanted this either, but we have learned to go on with it, for fear of being punished. Master has killed several of his 'pets' while giving them their punishments... so none of us here want to do anything reckless like you have. But trust me... Master is kind and gentle if your good." he smiled slightly.

"I doubt that...apparently the only reason I'm here is to make him more powerful." Loki looks away "Just...get it over with."

Lex sighed and took Loki's hand in his and started walking back to the palace's main doors. "As am I and just about every one else. That is all he wants... Power."

Loki nods "Wont it looks strange if your talking to me and not forcing me to go."

"Not really." he smiled over at him happily. "It might make you look more 'obedient'." he said then shook his head a little. "I hate that word just as much as punishment." he said sadly.

Loki shakes his head "He knows I'm not and I know I'm not. So why bother."

Lex shook his head sadly. "Sooner or later you will understand and learn to listen to him... That is.. unless you enjoy being beaten...." he said and looked over at Loki curiously.

Loki stops walking. "I have never known pain before yesterday when I was pierced all over my body."

Lex stopped as well and looked at him with shock. He stood there and looked Loki over and cringed. "Well... I have been through a lot of pain with Master... I'm sorry that this has had to happen to you." he whimpered slightly.

"Please....just get this over with..."

Lex nodded and continued walking Loki to the doors, that were now open, a pissed of Niko standing in the entryway holding the leash in his hand and watching the two of them get closer. Lex lowered his eyes and continued walking, scared of seeing the anger in them once again. Loki just glares at Niko, looking straight ahead. Niko smirked and walked forward as they reached the steps and quickly snapped the leash onto Loki's collar. "Thank you Lex, I'll take him from here." Lex nodded and gave Loki's hand one quick squeeze before letting it go and moving to close the doors after his master and Loki had walked through. Niko led Loki to the dungeon again. He pulled Loki close to him then threw him to the hard cold stone floor with an angry growl, then slammed the thick door closed and locked it. His markings were shinning a bright red in the dim light from the torches on the walls. "How dare you try and escape!" he yelled at him, his eyes glowing as red as his markings as he stepped over and kicked Loki hard in the stomach then again in the ribs.

Loki cries out and breaths heavily. He curls himself into a ball flinching as Niko continues to kick Loki "Why...would....I.....stay..."

Niko growled and leaned down, pulling Loki by his hair so that he looked up at him, his glowing red eyes casting a red glow on Loki's skin. "You would stay so you don't end up losing your life. Because if I can't have you, then no one will." with that the lifted Loki up by his hair. "Now Stand!" he commanded him.

Loki crys out and tries to stands to lessen the pain in his head. Niko smirked and walked Loki over to shackles hanging from a large gate hanging from the ceiling. Niko shackled in Loki's wrists the one by one shackled up Loki's ankles as well so that he was hanging up by them. Then he grabbed a hanging chain and moved it under Loki's body and locked it on the other side so that the cold metal was pressed hard against Loki's stomach, holding him to the gate. Loki struggles against the chains and pulls against them trying to get free. Niko chuckled wickedly and walked over to the table of items before picking up the piercing gun and two studs and backings before walking back to Loki again. "I'm sure you remember this." he smirked and showed it to Loki as he loaded one of small bars into the gun. Loki's eyes widen and he struggles more trying to get away.
